À propos de cet hébergement
Stunning panoramic views on private wooded 1/2 acre 15 mins to downtown/airport
Location, location, location! Welcome to the Sleeping Lady Retreat. Nestled in the picturesque Chugach mountains yet conveniently located just 15-20 minutes to the airport/downtown (7 minutes to excellent restaurants and shops), this serene Hillside property in South Anchorage offers the best of both worlds.
Surrounded by million-dollar homes, this quaint 2-story, single-family hidden gem sits on over 1/2 private, wooded acre near hiking and ski trails in one of Anchorage's nicest, safest, most affluent, established neighborhoods.
From sunrise to sunset, you'll marvel at the expansive, spectacular views of the inlet, Sleeping Lady (and sometimes Denali), and city lights while enjoying your morning coffee or nightcap. Photos don't do it justice!
Walking distance to a popular hiking trailhead, less than 5 minutes to Hilltop Ski Resort (and world class cross-country ski and mountain bike trails), 15 minutes to Flat Top Mountain, 10 minutes to Potter Marsh, 40 minutes to Girdwood/Alyeska Ski Resort, 1 hour to Portage Glacier, and 2 hours to Seward, it's an ideal base for your Alaskan adventure any time of year!
Recently renovated property (mountain MCM aesthetic + views/privacy gives "Mad Men" vibes). Upstairs is a modern, open floor plan; well-stocked gourmet kitchen includes GE Cafe appliances, new cabinetry, all new utensils/cookware/etc. Keurig, etc. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc.
Luxuriously furnished large living room features a new 75" smart TV, rosewood buffet, original Alaskan art, and custom end tables. A new pull-out sleeper sofa and ottoman sleeper bed comfortably accommodate two additional guests. Maple hardwood floors. Custom blinds throughout the house: black-out blinds in the master bedroom; view-maximizing light-filtering blinds upstairs.
The primary bedroom (king bed and a 55" Samsung The Frame smart TV), huge walk-in closet, washer/dryer, and full bathroom are downstairs. There is another entrance that opens to a large backyard. Outdoor area features a fire pit with views and a picnic table.
Enjoy the convenience of amenities like high-speed internet and a washer/dryer (or simply step outside the door into nature and unplug from it all). Seemingly a world away yet close to everything. We hope you enjoy your home away from home!
SLEEPING LAYOUT: The home is most comfortable for a couple or small family. The private downstairs bedroom has a king bed. The upstairs sleeper sofa and sleeper ottoman are best suited for children/teens or occasional use. While the home accommodates up to 4 guests, 4 adults may find the sleeping arrangement less comfortable.
PLEASE NOTE: This home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and is intended for peaceful stays. Maximum occupancy is 4 registered guests with parking for 2 vehicles. No parties, events, wedding activities, gatherings, or commercial photography/filming. As is common in Anchorage, bears and moose are occasionally seen in the area. Please do not clean fish or game on the property, leave food or garbage outdoors, or remove household items (linens, cookware, furniture, etc.) from the home.
**WINTER ACCESS: Alaska winter conditions can change quickly. Our hillside driveway is professionally plowed as needed, but snow and ice may remain between storms. AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended during winter, and 4WD may be necessary during periods of heavy snow or icy conditions.
