Niché dans les paysages des Black Hills du Dakota du Sud, Big Elk Cabin est situé à seulement 6,4 km de la ville pittoresque de Nemo et à moins de 23 km de Legendary Sturgis. En plein milieu de certaines des meilleures circonscriptions des Black Hills avec Nemo Road et Vanocker Canyon. Le trajet panoramique vers et depuis cette cabane via Vanocker Canyon est absolument à couper le souffle et nécessite moins de 1/2 mile de voyage sur une route de gravier. Big Elk Cabin repose sur 2. 35 acres entourés d'arbres et de faune indigènes des Black Hills. Cette retraite est le cadre idéal pour une escapade relaxante entre amis, en famille ou en couple romantique.

No flushable wipes! You will be calling me with a backed up sewer very soon after use. You will be charged for the plumber's visit.

Cleaning fee is for basicly cleaning/laundry. Extra cleaning = extra charges. Bacon grease and pet hair for example have been issues in the past.

Cellular service is iffy inside the cabin. Outside you can get reception but it is very weak. Plan to use WIFI calling. NO LANDLINE PHONE.

Fantastic isolated cabin

Spent a few nights at Jeff's cabin with my wife and our two kids - we were all very happy during our stay. The kids got a huge kick out of the visiting deer and turkeys that showed up daily, and the hot tub was a big hit as well! Great place to feel secluded without being too far from the sites. Highly recommend.

Mom & son getaway!

My 12 year old son and myself stayed for a 4 night getaway. The cabin was so peaceful and pleasant, especially early in the mornings or late evenings. I was lucky enough to have the main voyage in the brand new hot tub! It was perfect and the cabin owner was a true joy to work with. We will definitely be back!

A Little Piece of Heaven

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful retreat for 3 nights and could have stayed a lifetime. It was so beautiful, secluded and quiet. We had deer and turkeys visit us every day. The cabin was very nice and clean and very well equipped. The hot tub was a bonus and we enjoyed it a lot. Jeff was very accommodating and friendly. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Wonderful place to stay!

My husband and I and our dog came out for a vacation! The cabin was very nice. It had everything we needed for kitchen utensils to grill in one night. The hot tub was perfect! The only thing I would warn future visitors who bring their dogs with is that there are two large dogs across the road that come visit. We didn’t have any problems with them, I just pointed and told them to go back home and they turned around and left. But the first night once we got unloaded one of them was up on our deck. Again, we didn’t have any problems with them I just personally think that something nice to know when bringing my own dogs :) Thank you for hosting, we had a wonderful time! :)

Peaceful and Inspirational

We loved this cabin. Truth is, we are spoiled. We like comfort and luxuries and good service. We romanticize about a cabin in the woods, but what we really want is to be entertained and catered to. We like TV, WiFi, Air conditioned comfort. None of that mattered when we were in this cabin. Sat TV confuses me and I decided we just didn't need it. The walks, the comfortable furnishings, the hot tub, the decks and positively peaceful serenity. That is what we absorbed this trip and it was fantastic. What we wanted for the 4th was quiet. Peace and quiet. We got it and it was a luxury I never knew we needed. Everything else came secondary , but it was all there; supplies, blue ray movies with players in every room. Mostly the wind through the tall pines. Morning or night. Soul cleansing experience. Highly recommend.

Awesome place to stay in the Northern Hills

Big Elk Place Cabin is a great place to stay. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. We enjoyed the new hot tub while watching the deer and turkeys walk through the yard everyday. Jeff is a great host and I would recommend this cabin for any group looking for a place to stay near Nemo or Sturgis.

We love the Black Hills of South Dakota and fell in love with the Nemo area. Owning both an on road motorcycle and an off road side by side we enjoy spending as much time in the area as we can and owning this cabin has made enjoying the area even better.

This area has some of the greatest riding in the nation. Its also close to Sturgis and a great place to stay during the Rally or to enjoy riding in the Black Hills in the spring, summer or fall. Its an ideal location for the off road enthusiast. Miles and miles of great trails that are marked and USFS has great trail maps to aid you in your journey.
