Settle in to a Dauphin Island escape at this gorgeous, coastal gem. The home has been updated with modern design and décor. Relax with your crew on the sweeping, front deck and enjoy a quiet, bayside location. This home offers easy access to Island attractions including the beach, Alabama Aquarium, Audubon Bird Sanctuary, and ferries to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.



Designed with group gathering in mind, the raised, single-level interior features an open layout with attractive fixtures and furnishings. Sink into the plush, living room furniture for some shows and movies on the flatscreen smart TV, or keep the home chefs company at the three-seater breakfast island while they whip-up tasty, homemade treats. The sleek array of stainless steel appliances and utensils make meal time a breeze while the dishwasher is there to take care of the cleanup.

Our check in experience with Avari was very frustrating. They are super difficult to get ahold of in a timely manner. Their message system is not prompt either. Other than that we absolutely loved staying at this house and had such a special and wonderful time.

A visit with Family

We stayed on the island and visited with friends in Bayou la Batre. We spent a lot of time on the beach and riding the bicyckes provided. The house stayed nice and cool and was centrally located. 10/10 would recommend

We had such an amazing stay! Clean, fun, lots of quote and saw dolphins in the bay. Sunsets while grilling with family was a joy and loved the back deck! Thank you! Would book again.

Very dirty furnuture, clogged sink one shower door missing requiring us to share a bathroom, and the coffee maker was .missing. dryer quit working, outside of the home covered in mildew

A retreat you don't want to leave

We stayed at this beautiful place last memorial day, and i think we are gonna book it again this memorial day! My guest and i felt so at home, we wanted to add days on to our trip last year and stay longer, but someone was booked right after us. 😞

Awesome place!

This was one of my favorite trips. The home was great! Id recommend adding the golf cart to your trip will be easier to get around. But my family enjoyed themselves.

BOOK WITH CAUTION

We arrived w/ the anticipation of a nice, relaxing celebratory week. The first night we encountered 8+ LARGE ROACHES!! THIS was reported to VACASA BUT no response until we showed up on their doorstep & they pooh-poohed our claim. We were also booking under the impression that we had 2 fully bathrooms come to find out 1 of them was missing a shower door leaving us w/ 1.5 bathrooms. We could’ve used without shower door but that left us liable 4 potentially damage. We were given a can of ROACH spray to spot treat the following night. We encountered 20+ ROACHES. We have PICTURES to validate our claimS. The uncleanliness of the property caused us to not use the amenities for which we chose this property like a nice kitchen but we were disgusted w/ROACHES climbing all over the dishes which caused us to dine out every-night. When we reported OUR concerns to the property management company, they called us LIARS. Again, WE HAVE LOTS OF PICS & VIDEOS that validate our claims. Overall this property was misrepresented not only for roaches & cleanliness but 2 full bathrooms. We could hardly get a good nights sleep here in because we have never encountered such deplorable conditions. We will NEVER return to Dauphin Island, due how we were treated & VACASA manages the majority of the properties on the island. We advise anyone considering this property to look for other alternatives

We chose this property mostly because it is pet friendly, and the point of this trip was to take our elderly dog to experience his first ocean. We were able to do that, and so much more. This property is newly-renovated, clean, and minutes away from several beaches. The owners generously provide beach chairs, kayaks, and life vests, all of which we used to enrich our experience. The kitchen is spacious and appointed with a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, and everything you need to cook a full surf n turf dinner (which we did)! The gas grill is in good working order as well. My only (very mild) gripe would be the following. As I recall, the property is advertised to sleep 6. It would comfortably fit 1 adult couple and 2-3 children, or maybe 2 adult couples. 6 would be very tight, with little room for belongings. Second, the AC went out the second night of our stay. However, the rental company had a contractor over to fix it within about 12 hours, on Mother's Day Sunday no less! SO we spent one warm evening with all the windows open and fans on, but everything was fixed right away and communication was spectacular. For its location, amenities, and excellent kitchen, I would definitely stay in this property again. I also had a good experience renting from Vacasa - they were highly responsive and fixed the AC issue immediately. I would recommend renting with Vacasa as well.

Beautiful and Close to the Beach

House is clean and bright! Everything you need is there and it’s a quick walk to the beach. Definitely recommend this spot! Many extras also: 2 kayaks, gas grill and a golf cart for rent.

The property management company didn't respond to ANY of my questions or concerns throughout the stay. They just ignore problems rather than deal with them.
