It was a nice place and a great location. Very cute. However,The AC does not work well and it was hot during the day. The bedrooms were cool at night which is all that matters but the living room was really hot during the day. We were not there much during the day, thank goodness. There were also a lot of flies! Like a ton. And the fly swatter was broken. For 1000 plus a night. I expected better. Overall, however, great location. Great for a long weekend.

Place was great! Listed pics and description accurate. Location 1 house/150ft to the boardwalk to jog, walk, biker, rollerblade etc and a massive soft sandy beach with good surfing. Kitchen stocked with enough pans, dishes, utensils but needed a cookie sheet and extra towels and host had them deliverd same day by 7pm, excellent. Would definitely again!

Clean rooms, fast response from owner. Nice that it was pet friendly. Just a very short walk to the beach. We had a great time.

The location is fantastic. Close to shops, food and small grocery store. It was nice to have the beach chairs and towels available, one less thing to pack. We cooked most of our meals at the rental. Not a lot of storage so nonperishables had to stay on the counter. There was a black rack in one of the bedrooms, in hindsight we should have used that to stack the food on vs having everything on the counter. You do hear the planes fly overhead, but they stop around 10PM to around 6:30 AM. The main living area does get warm; we had low 70s for most of our stay. The fans provided helped manage the temperature. The bedrooms stayed nice and cool though with the AC on. We would definitely stay here again.

The location of the house is fantastic. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is wonderful. The big patio with fire pit and grill a bonus. And 2 parking spots! The house does not have a hide a bed as advertised and we had 8 people. And there is not a couch, only 2 love seats. The bedrooms have A/C, the living room and kitchen do not. There were a lot of flies, screen doors on the front and back doors would really help that. Of course we had a wonderful time but it’s really a house for 6.

The location is excellent, and the front patio area is spacious and inviting. You are literally steps from the beach. The are was quiet. The home was a bit smaller than expected, and some of the furniture in the family room and kitchen felt outdated. The air conditioning unit is located only in the master bedroom, so the house could feel a little stuffy at times. There are ceiling fans in the master bedroom, one additional bedroom, and the living room, which helped with airflow.

Regarding the cooling system, the unit is equipped with central air conditioning, with the main system located in the master bedroom area, which is why there is only one visible unit in the home. We understand how airflow and temperature can still feel different throughout the space, especially at certain times, and we appreciate you noting that it felt a bit stuffy at times. For added comfort, there are ceiling fans in the master bedroom, an additional bedroom, and the living room to help with circulation. We also appreciate your honest feedback about the home feeling smaller than expected and your comments regarding some of the furniture in the family room and kitchen. Beach heaven

We loved our stay, so close to the beach and everything we needed. Coffee house was a quick walk and biking and paddle boarding on the bay. We had mornings on the patio which was perfect!

Overall nice home, very limited parking at the location but there was a public parking lot about 5 minute walk away wasnt to bad. Definitely needed a better selection of bowls serving containers for the kitchen , pretty limited. Would definitely rent again

Great Mission Beach Stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was great in a quiet court in Mission Beach steps from the beach. We enjoyed the large outdoor courtyard with a dining table, fire pit and lounge chairs. The house inside was very nice and clean. The only thing lacking was the 'starter kits' and minimal dishes so bring your own supplies from home or be prepared to go to the store. Overall, a great stay and we hope to be back again!

After some initial hiccups with the second parking spot and lack of any shampoo, conditioner or soap (or coffee!), the rental agency responded to our concerns. Missing some of the more welcoming touches that you find at personally managed places. But overall, house was great, location is just steps from the beach and the 3 queen beds were extremely comfortable. There is airplane noise (except between 10 pm-6 am thankfully) and parking is challenging although there is a public lot about a 5 min walk away.

Staycation

Wow what an amazing experience. The location the property and the amazing patio space. Of course there are always things that come up. But as long as you are prepared with extra towels for showering and for the Beach, extra toiletries you will be fine we spent every day on the beautiful grill and In the water. I couldn’t of found a better place for my family to hang out for Fathers Day weekend. Thanks so much for a wonderful STAYCATION!!!

Family retreat at South Mission

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is a perfectly updated property. It had everything our family needed. The large patio was lovely for sipping coffee in the am and cocktails in the pm. It gave us enough room to enjoy each other's company. Loved that guests have access to washing machine and dryer, as we went through the towels daily. Thank you for sharing your house.

Great place

The listing stated it is 20 feet from the beach….that’s definitely inaccurate. It’s 1/2 block in and you cannot see the beach from the home. Otherwise everything’s was as stated and the place worked out great. Nice location and amenities. If you drive a large vehicle like me, be prepared to deal with limited parking and many limitations on where you can park. But not impossible. All in all we will definitely come back!

Great location - innaccurate bed information

I'll start with the good stuff: patio is large for hanging outside, the house is all one floor so good for accessibility for seniors or small children. It has a nice open and vaulted living area. The internet speeds were blazing fast. The VRBO information page is not accurate. This property has only four usable beds and one of them is a full size bed (not queen as advertised). One of the twin trundle beds is located 18 inches away from a queen size platform bed, it's impossible to get the bottom trundle bed out. It was disappointing to arrive and find the house was not as advertised, especially since the minimum rental time was one week and we were paying premium season pricing. The management company San Diego Vacation rentals was not helpful. When I contacted them to let them know about the misinformation, they said I was responsible for verifying the bed situation from the pictures of the home on the website. I was offered an inflatable mattress as a solution. Could you imagine booking a hotel room for a week, showing up and being offered less than what was advertised along with an air mattress as the solution? I'd only recommend this house for a max of four adults and the possible 1-2 children. Potentially steer clear of homes managed by San Diego Vacation rentals as they are not helpful in finding resolutions for inaccurate properties that they manage.
