The chef’s kitchen features custom cabinetry, slate counters, gorgeous tile backsplash, while the beautifully remodeled bathrooms offer spa-style finishes including custom vanities, glass-enclosed showers, upgraded fixtures, and artisan tile floors.

Thoughtful details enhance every corner of the home: an upgraded bar area ideal for evening cocktails, a well-appointed mudroom and laundry room outfitted with custom cabinetry and rustic stone flooring, and a beautifully crafted exterior wrapped in maintenance-free reclaimed barn wood. Expansive decks made from Brazilian hardwood invite you to relax with morning coffee or sunset wine, complete with glass railings that maximize those striking lake views. For entertainment, an upstairs game room with a pool table / ping pong table, two TVs and full bathroom is ideal for the entire family. Outside, meticulously landscaped front and back yards create a peaceful mountain oasis, with a built-in hot tub that’s made for aprùs-ski unwinding or starlit summer nights. A level, deep driveway makes for easy year-round access.

The West Shore of Lake Tahoe has always carried a sense of nostalgia, tall pines, quiet beaches, and that classic Tahoe charm that feels both timeless and effortlessly relaxed. Staying near Homewood places you right in the heart of this beloved stretch of shoreline, where adventure, serenity, and small-town warmth come together in the most memorable way. Mornings often begin on the water, where the lake is calm and glassy. Guests head out for waterskiing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, or a leisurely kayak along the shoreline. With some of Tahoe’s most beautiful sandy beaches just minutes away, Chambers Landing, Meeks Bay, and the coves along Sugar Pine Point. You can spend long summer days swimming, sunbathing, or simply taking in the incredible clarity of the lake. Boaters especially love this part of the shore for its easy access and scenic routes tucked beneath the mountains. When winter arrives, the rhythm shifts to the slopes of Homewood Mountain Resort. Known for its uncrowded feel and panoramic lake views, it offers a uniquely intimate ski experience that keeps visitors returning year after year. Nordic skiers and snowshoers often head to Sugar Pine Point State Park or into Blackwood Canyon, where quiet trails wind through forests blanketed in snow.

Throughout the year, the West Shore is woven with scenic trails perfect for hiking and biking. Eagle Rock offers one of the most rewarding short hikes in the region, with a breathtaking 360-degree lookout over Lake Tahoe. Blackwood Canyon invites exploration through a dramatic glacial valley, and nearby trailheads provide access to segments of the world-famous Tahoe Rim Trail. Whether you come for the water, the mountains, the skiing, the trails, or the unmistakable charm of Tahoe’s west side, Homewood places you at the center of everything that makes Lake Tahoe unforgettable. Here, every day feels like the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, exactly what a Tahoe vacation should be.

You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.

Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP.

Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.

Be Bear Aware
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

Office Holiday Hours
The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.
