Merlin’s Retreat – A Private, Enchanting Cabin Escape for Rest & Reconnection

Merlin’s Retreat rests on approximately 100 acres of rolling woods and open pasture, where cattle and horses roam freely across the landscape. Tucked deep into the trees, the cabin offers true seclusion — the kind where the only sounds at night are the wind through the leaves and the distant call of wildlife.

Because of its remote setting, access to the cabin requires a capable vehicle. A 4x4, lifted truck, or similar SUV (such as a CRV with adequate clearance) is strongly recommended to navigate the pasture crossing and wooded trail leading to the cabin. The drive in is part of the experience — rustic, scenic, and intentionally off the beaten path.

During your stay, you may encounter a wide range of sights unique to the area — from grazing livestock and horseback riders to wild coyotes in the distance. It’s not uncommon to see members of the local Amish community traveling through the surrounding countryside, adding to the peaceful and timeless atmosphere of the property.

The resort is a 21 and over place please, and due to the wild nature and wilder animals that you may encounter, pets are not allowed.
