Family Vacation

Great house just as shown on the website. We had plenty of space and the pool was great. Easy to get to off the Bay Bridge into Destin and close to lots of restaurants and shopping.

Spring break in Destin!

Stayed for the week over spring break with my family including our two labrador retrievers. The property had plenty of room, kitchen was stocked with everything we could need, and the heated pool was perfect. Proximity to the beach was an easy walk and the wagon and beach chairs came in handy for the beach days!

Perfect Beach House

House is beautiful and private. Pool is fantastic. Proximity to the beach is great. Plenty of room for 2 families to have a great vacation. Shops and restaurants are just blocks away. Couldn’t ask for a better vacation home.

Perfect Beach Home

This three bedroom home was perfect for our daughters and their families (including grand dogs)! And the pool house was great for my husband and I and our dog. The property is completely fenced, with a separate grassy area for pets. The rental company was very responsive to our requests. Short walk to the beach and a little restaurant that served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Would definitely stay again!

This house is beautiful! The level of service offered by Sugar Palm Vacation Rentals is top notch. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied, even after hours! The house was spotless, very well appointed, and such a great location! We will definitely be back!

Nice home with nice backyard for pets. Very clean with a well equipped kitchen. Very accommodating cottage house for privacy with access thru garage. Nice garage space. Convenient to food and shopping. Three beach accesses available. Pricing was appropriate.

Thanks for the review John - you are right this house is great for so many reasons. Perfect location - close to both beach and shopping. The backyard is spacious and includes both a grassy area for your pets, and a large pool for family and friends. Comfy but pricey

The house was well appointed and welcoming. There was even a birthday card left for my 95 year old mother, which was appreciated. The two boys loved the pool and there was room for everyone, with easy beach access. There was a miscommunication about company but it is what it is. Everyone had a good time.

Destin reunion

Space was great especially for giving guests without children privacy! Carriage house was adorable!! Photos and posted information were accurate. Tons of spices and storage containers for food since we cooked in. High-end appliances. Small issue with the pool heat but they addressed it quickly. Turned out it was the first week of spring break, so not quite as family oriented as we expected :)

Amazing piece of heaven in the beach

This house was really a dream come true, is actually even better than what the pictures can show… clean, modern, great organization, the kitchen was perfect for our big group… The location is also very good just 1 block from the beach and is one of the best beaches… Only issues we had was that the fireplace stopped working and for us it was still pretty cold when we asked the cs said is because of the weather getting warmer well for us 50-60 was not warm and also the pool, we paid additionally for the heater and it didnt work too well pool was usually more cold than warm so not worth the extra pay…apart from that I completely recommend staying here :)

Awww we're delighted to know you enjoyed your stay. We strive to make all of our properties perfect for our guests. We're happy to hear we knocked it out of the park for you and your group. On the couple of things you mentioned. The fireplace is turned off from March 15-Sept 15 so people do not run the fireplace and AC simultaneously (yea kinda silly but people do it). And we just had an unusually cold snap of weather after March 15 this year. As for the pool heater. It works but it will shut off when the skimmer baskets are full/blocked. When the pool guy came out when you called, he found a pool toy blocking the water intake (to the baskets). 2 second fix :-)

Great family house

This is a very nice home for one or more families to stay. Wonderful areas to gather in the kitchen / living room area and a nice covered dining area by the pool where we spent a lot of time. The kitchen was wonderful with a gas stovetop, modern appliances, and ample utensils / cookware. The layout of the bedrooms allowed private space for everyone. The house is located in downtown Destin near many popular restaurants and activities. A short walk to a private reserved area of beach (which I found meaningless because it was VERY crowded and loud with often not too considerate people playing music too loud). We had a great week there. Loved the house but prefer the 30a area of beach more for overall atmosphere and quiet enjoyment.

Wonderful Experience

Our stay at Crystal Beach was absolutely wonderful. Accommodations were even better than described if you can imagine that! We arrived late on a Saturday and after a long drive the house was so welcoming. The lights were on, and we were able to get in easily. The house was spotless, the pool was lovely and we had paid the extra to heat it which the kids LOVED! Late that night we walked to the beach which was even closer than expected, and saw crabs! We were able to spend time every day at the beach and the kids were in the pool non-stop as well. We highly recommend this spot and will stay again if we return to Destin. You will not be disappointed.

The location and private pool were the absolute best. Walking distance to the beach, was great to pop back and forth for morning jogs and sunset walks. The house was beautiful and clean. The only minor issues we had were the wi-fi didn’t work in the bedrooms no matter what we tried. The master bedroom serves as the main walk way from the outdoor pool area to the kitchen/ living rooms/2 bedrooms. Otherwise you needed to maneuver a heavy wooden door with a tall latch and then the 9 digit code to get in the front door. Not ideal for kids. This was not a huge deal, it just meant naps and privacy weren’t amazing, but we made it work. Wish the place had some extra blankets. Minor things. The host was attentive when the pool needed to be cleaned, fast and kind response. Overall great place, highly recommend.

Perfect Beach vacation

Everything is just as shown on listing. Being that we traveled by plane, we didn't bring a lot of things that you take for granted vacationing in a house. This house had everything except beach towels, which is noted in the listing. Previous visitors have left many spices, etc to pay if forward as did we. There were beach and pool toys in the garage, again, not promised by owner, but were there. The pool is larger than just about any private pool in the area, it has a ton of parking and the AC works great. We have stayed at many places that the ac struggles in July. I can't say anything negative about this property. I saw lot of properties that had golf carts, one would be nice, but more as a novelty. There is no need for a golf cart to visit the beach, its like 300' away, and I honestly wouldn't go grocery shopping for 8 people with a golf cart. Maybe for a quick snack. Overall, couldn't ask for more. Maybe if prices were back to they were pre covid :)

Great home for a chill family vacation. Older home, but had been updated to modern amenities. Pool was awesome, location to beach was awesome, and overall experience with the company was awesome. Would stay here again.

Keystone Sea Ranch

We had a great stay. I would like to let you know that house needs the HVAC filter changed and the refrigerator filter. The lock on the joint bathroom door does not work. The vent in the large bedroom bathroom is leaking/dripping from a lot of condensation looks like the ceiling has been repaired a few times. It could be because it's old but the garage smells like death we thought maybe an animal got in and died but we did not find any. The golf cart is dangerous so wherever you added it from let them know. The steering wheel can snap to the left quick if you let go of the wheel. If someone is not careful they could go into on coming traffic. The breaks on that cart as well are nearing their end. Just letting folks know to fix for the next renters. Overall nice but could have been nicer the price for that property seems high but it's summer time and we booked late. I prefer destiny east or west homes. We may come down in the fall again so we will be looking. Thanks again.

Great Experience Start to Finish

Everyone we dealt with at Sugar Palm made our stay a genuine pleasure. They addressed any concerns we had in a professional manner and kept us well informed when there was a little glitch with our arrival day due to a problem with the house. Very nice home and the pool was awesome as we were in it for an hour or more almost every day.
