Little Eagle's Nest - Charming & Cozy 2-Bed Apartment
Guests will feel cozily tucked away in this charming upper-level apartment, perfectly situated between Third Street and NMU, less than a mile from the beach and downtown! This is the ideal location to park and explore the many coffee shops, restaurants, breweries and shops located on Third Street, without experiencing the noise of the downtown area. Lake Superior beaches, North Country Hiking Trails, mountain biking trails, cross country ski trails, and downhill skiing are all within easy reach.
This sunny upstairs apartment offers a cheerful retreat with access to a shared enclosed front porch and convenient off-street parking. Guests will love the vintage-style kitchen and the private, cozy sunroom — perfect for morning coffee with the sunrise on the horizon.
A spacious kitchen pantry offers plenty of room for groceries (or your latest shopping treasures), and the large bedroom closets make it easy to tuck away luggage and belongings. The coffee bar is fully stocked so you can enjoy your morning brew at home — though with so many great cafés nearby, you may be tempted to explore anyway!
Quiet, well-behaved pets are welcome for a $50 fee. As dog barking can be disruptive to other guests, dogs may only be left alone in the apartment if they will not bark when hearing activity elsewhere in the building.
This is a second floor apartment, with access via outdoor staircase in the back and an indoor staircase in the front (indoor staircase can be used between 8 am and 10 pm).
Although this older home is well-maintained and charming, some sound will transfer through the units, so quiet hours are in place from 10 pm to 8 am.
While some guests find the bathroom perfectly comfortable, some consider the space a bit tight: bathrooms weren't usually designed to be spacious in 1900! The bathtub is under a sloped ceiling which may not be ideal for guests over 6' tall, and the toilet doesn't have a lot of leg space in front of it.
This rental does not include child safety features or children's items, and the exterior stairs may not be well-suited for children or those with limited mobility (see photo).
Two parking spaces are provided; if more parking is needed, please contact us before booking to find out if extra space may be available during the selected dates.
In the summer, guests are welcome to adjust the temperature using the provided air conditioners. During the winter months, the heat is controlled remotely, as the first and second floors are on a shared zone, and the temperature in this unit is set to 69°F. A space heater is available for supplemental warmth if needed.
Our rental license permits a maximum of four guests in this apartment (including children of any age).
