Wow, what an impression this unit and this gated condo complex makes! It's more country and quiet yet close to all the North Shore sites. Minutes walk from the front door is your own ocean access where you can swim, beach-comb or just walk the beach for a long way. There's hiking trails and horseback riding, hang gliders and colorful parachuters overhead, kite boarders and surfers in the distant waters. We even saw an occasional breaching whale on the horizon. The surf this time of year is spectacular, as is the sunset over Kaena Point!
The complex is gated and quiet, well maintained by an on-site manager and grounds crew. You get a designated parking space and access to laundry, a small pool, and tennis courts. The side-by-side, single story duplex units afford an incredible view of the Waianae Mountains in one direction and you can hear the surf crashing the shore the other way!
The unit is how it is described and portrayed, open floor plan and newly remodeled with nice amenities. We especially liked the pastoral view out the front, large kitchen, walk-in shower and bonus outdoor shower. Coming from the Midwest, it was great to sleep with the windows open, in February, the whole time we were there and sometimes shower outside! One tip for monthly renters is to stop at a grocery store and stock up with kitchen and bath essentials, including hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, shampoo, laundry soap and other items you might expect upon first arriving.
