The Space:

Welcome to The Heron Nest, a charming cottage designed for your perfect PEI getaway. Here's a detailed look at the spaces you'll enjoy:



* **Bedrooms (2):** Each bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed, perfect for a restful night's sleep. Designed with relaxation in mind, the bedrooms offer a cozy retreat after a day of exploring the island.

* **Full Bathroom (1):** A well-appointed full bathroom is available for your convenience.

* **Kitchen:** Fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all the cookware and dishes you need to prepare delicious meals. Enjoy the convenience of a home-cooked meal during your stay.

* **Dining Room:** A dedicated dining area provides a space to enjoy meals together.

* **Living Room:** Relax and unwind in the living room, a comfortable space to gather and socialize.

* **Backyard:** Enjoy the outdoor space, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the island air. Features include a BBQ grill and outdoor seating.

* **Front Yard:** Offers additional outdoor space.

* **Additional Amenities:** You'll also have access to a washer and dryer, ensuring a comfortable stay. The property includes a fire pit for evening gatherings (small camp fires only), and kayaks for exploring the bay.



Guest Access:

You will have full access to the cottage and property, including kayaks and outdoor shower. We do however ask that no tents are set up and allow only small camp fires in the outdoor fire pit.



Beach fires may be permitted pending favorable wind conditions. Please clean up afterwards and be respectful of the neighbors.



The Neighborhood:

15 minutes from Capital City of Charlottetown, and minutes to Provincial parks and beaches, the small community of Donaldston offers typical island hospitality. Planked between beautiful Tracadie Bay and picturesque red dirt roads, it offers peaceful cottage setting, a stone throw from town. There is a small park with open grass and a playground for kids, and lots of opportunities for beachcombing on the bay. There is a gas station, corner store and liquor store on route from Charlottetown, as well as Jewell’s country market for fresh fruit and vegetables (and ice cream) in the summer months.



Getting Around:

You will need a car to access the location, and parking is available at designated location in front of the cottage.



Other Things to Note:

Please note that check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Parking is available in the designated area in front of the cottage. We kindly ask that you only use the fire pit for small campfires. Beach fires may be permitted depending on wind conditions; please clean up afterward and be respectful of the neighbors. The cottage is equipped with a washer and dryer for your convenience. Kayaks are available for exploring the bay. We do not allow pets. The property is not suitable for events. We want you to have an enjoyable stay, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
