Nice house beautiful views from back deck. We stayed here with our two daughters families 4 grandkids plenty of room for us all. Easy check in although side garage door was unlocked when we arrived. House was very clean but a few random items from previous people,slim Jim in chair in living room, baby pacifier under tv in living room, used bar of soap by master tub. There was also large pile of dog feces in grass off the back deck. Dishwasher in the kitchen did not work well had to rewash by hand after running both times we used it. These were all minor issues.The house was very nice and we would rent again

Incredible home on an incredible piece of property. 10 of us in our family got together and it had everything we wanted. All 10 of us could comfortably sit together at the dining table and in the living room. So many porches front and back we could all spread out and find peace and quiet. Comfortable beds and baths. Fantastic kitchen with extensive equipment and storage space. So many amenities and so thoughtfully decorated. The property is very very quiet, we caught sight of lots of wildlife, and this morning some huge raptors were floating through the air not far above our heads. You can hear the Durango Silverton Railroad go by in the distance, and we had just a beautiful view of the area. Loved it!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we had a great stay at the log cabin. there was construction on-going in the lot next to the log cabin so there was dust all over the outside decks and furniture - this was outside the control of the property management but would have been nice to have the deck washed off before are arrival. the kitchen was well equipped (tho the stove top was very greasy) the bedrooms were very comfortable.

Great Home, but not as Clean as you'd like

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is a gorgeous house with a great location. The issue we had was that the home was not as clean as you'd like. The kitchen pans and dishes were filthy and had dried food on them like they were rinsed and put away in the cabinet without cleaning. They had a greasy/finger prints all over them. Same for glassware. We had to run everything through the dishwasher in order to even begin using them for our stay. On top of that, there was hair in a couple of bed linens, and the master shower had so much hair in the drain that it hardly drained. Had to get a paper towel to use for getting it out of the drain it was so gross. Those issues were the only ones we had, but for the price paid, you'd expect the home to be much cleaner and things not overlooked. Also, the kitchen trash can had not even been emptied and was full of trash when we checked in. This is a heat only house, no AC, so if you're coming when it's warm outside, it may not be comfortable. There are box fans in some rooms so it's not too stuffy, but if you like it cool, don't come when it's warm outside.

Our family of 11 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Durango at the Log Cabin! The house was well-equipped with all we needed and perfectly situated near downtown Durango. Morning and evening views were stunning, and we especially loved the outdoor living spaces! The VRBO photos and description were accurate. The house was clean and updated. The management company was super responsive leading up to our trip and during check-in/check out. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return!
