The Loon's Nest Cabin on Serene Lily Lake in Danbury

“The Loons are Calling and You Must Go!” Welcome to your beautiful lake house retreat on peaceful, serene Lily Lake! Nestled in the Town of Webb Lake, this lovely “home away from home” is a short 2 hour drive from the Twin Cities, yet you’ll be immersed in the heart of Burnett County surrounded by over 500 lakes, winding rivers, wetlands, pine forests, and the “up north” feeling you long for! Enjoy the charm of cabin life along with all of our modern amenities and endless entertainment!

The space
Your cabin includes a beautiful, fully stocked & modern kitchen, adorable living room with a gas fireplace to cozy up with on those cooler summer evenings and all year long, a flat screen TV, and huge lakeside facing windows overlooking the pine trees and lake. The main level is also home to a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom. The upstairs loft area has four twin beds (perfect for the kids to share their bedtime stories and giggles before falling asleep!) while the basement contains an over-sized bedroom with plush carpet along with a queen bed, bunk bed (full bed on bottom; twin bed on top), ¾ bathroom with spacious shower, heated floor, and large make-up mirror, and finally the laundry room with full access to our newer washing machine and dryer.

The kitchen is open and beautifully stocked with modern appliances including a refrigerator/freezer, electric stove/oven, dishwasher, and over the range microwave. Also included is a toaster, hand mixer, standard coffee pot, Keurig coffee maker, pots, pans, glassware, coffee cups, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils. Enjoy meals and board games around our farmhouse kitchen table overlooking the lake!

The family room includes an electric fireplace, sofa and two comfortable chairs along with a 40" flat screen tv and windows with gorgeous views of Lily Lake! Guests have access to free, high-speed Wifi in both the cabin and the outbuilding. A nearby ottoman houses several family board games, card games, and art/craft supplies for our guests to enjoy.

Bedroom 1 is on the first floor (main level) directly across from the bathroom. It has a queen size bed, night stand with lamp and alarm clock/sound machine/charging station, coat hook, and a closet with storage shelves, bar/hangers for hanging clothes, and a long shelf. Cleaning supplies and extra bathroom towels are stored here for your convenience.

Bedroom 2 is a large, loft-style room upstairs on the second floor. It has four twin size beds, two night stands each containing a lamp and alarm clock/sound machine/charging station, a dresser with six drawers, and two modern accent chairs. Enjoy beautiful views of the both the front and back of the property from the loft!

Bedroom 3 is a large, cozy room in the walk-out basement that leads out to the lower deck. It has a queen size bed, a bunkbed (double bed on the bottom; twin bed on the top), two night stands with lamps, a dresser with six drawers, a lamp, and an alarm clock/sound maker/charging station, and a modern accent chair that is perfect for reading before bed. This room has it's own private, beautiful bathroom with walk-in shower, full vanity with built-in outlets, heated floors, and a gorgeous lit make-up mirror.

The cabin has two bathrooms- one on the main floor and one in the basement. The main floor bathroom has a bathtub and shower; the basement bathroom has a large walk-in shower. Hairdryer and plush bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths included.

The property also boasts a huge outbuilding perfect for all of your entertaining needs including an incredibly unique Speakeasy with a full bar/stools, two TVs within the bar for sports enthusiasts wanting to cheer on your favorite teams, a full size refrigerator with freezer, sink, mini split for heat/air conditioning, poker table, leather couch, bistro table with stools, and darts. Just outside of the Speakeasy, within the same outbuilding, is the spacious Movie Theater & Game Room that will keep guests busy for hours and hours, regardless of season or weather outside, with a ping pong table, air hockey table, foosball, pop-a-shot, four arcade games including Pac Man, Asteroids/Centipede, NBA Jam, fan-favorite Golden Tee, and a huge 85” flat screen TV for your relaxing movie & popcorn evenings!

Tucked in the pine trees and overlooking Lily Lake just steps outside of your quaint cabin, you’ll find a perfectly manicured firepit patio area with six Adirondack chairs for those sunset campfires, roasting marshmallows and story-telling, two large decks (an upper deck with a beautifully handcrafted and custom-built picnic table for outdoor meals while the lower deck has four Adirondack chairs and the warm, romantic glow of hanging lights in the evening). Enjoy your morning coffee on either deck and a grassy yard for playing yard games (Bean Bags, Ladder Golf, Connect Four, Spikeball and Badminton included). The upper deck has a custom-built picnic table with separate bench seating

Take advantage of gorgeous, serene Lily Lake by relaxing in the Adirondack chairs while taking in the loon calls at the end of the dock as the sun sets, fishing for bass and panfish (two fishing poles and basic tackle box with lures/fishing line included), kayaking amidst the loons and blue heron around the 188 acre lake (4 standard kayaks and 4 lifejackets included- 2 adult and 2 youth), or taking the pedal boat out for a spin to sightsee, fish and/or swim in the middle of the lake. While swimming off the shoreline/dock is not possible, there are endless opportunities to enjoy the lake as well as to swim in the middle of the lake. There is a public boat landing on Lily Lake as well as a public boat landing on neighboring Nicaboyne Lake (289 acres) just down the street from your cabin.

Our cabin is located on an ATV-friendly road with easy access to hundreds of miles of Wisconsin's awesome connecting ATV trails! The snowmobile trail is just down the road, which also connects to hundreds of miles of winter trail-riding paradise!

There are several awesome bars/restaurants within a 10 minute drive of our cabin! Nearby Voyager Village is home to the area’s leading 18-hole championship golf course and its signature Par 3 course along with an indoor pool, and basketball, bocce, tennis, and pickleball courts Recommendations & Information will be provided in your welcome binder upon your arrival.

Guest access
Guests have access to the cabin and the large outbuilding near the road (Movie Theater, Game Room, and Speakeasy). Access to a pedal boat, four kayaks, life jackets (two adult life jackets and two youth life jackets available to use), two fishing poles, and 4 marshmallow/hotdog sticks included for cooking over the campfire. Firewood, kindling, and a lighter are included. A gas grill is also available for cook-outs at the cabin.

*Pedal boat and kayaks are available for guest use from May 15-October 15. Water levels do fluctuate and pedal boat/kayak usage may be dependent on mother nature and the lake's water levels throughout the year.
Other things to note
Occupancy regulations are set by the State of Wisconsin and Burnett County.

Occupancy refers to the number of people on the property at any given time and all visitors must be included in your occupancy total.

Please note we use exterior security cameras to monitor the parking area/entrance and the above is strictly enforced; offenders will be evicted without a refund.

We encourage our guests to obtain travel insurance (“Cancel For Any Reason” insurance), in case of unforeseen circumstances such as illness, family emergency, weather events or other scheduling conflicts.
