The Space:
Our space is east of the 4 lane main drag on east side of Parade Drive. This is a 1st floor condominium so no stairs with ramp up to common space & pool area from the parking
Your condo does have 2 larger bedrooms + 2 full bathrooms that make it easier to spread out with its larger than average square footage. The kitchen you will enjoy as fully equipped with all pots, pans, dishes, etc for easier & money saving family meals you will all enjoy..
The main living room does have a ground floor outside patio to enjoy a morning coffee or evening margarita. The living room area has a sofa plus two side chairs, plus a big flat screen smart TV for family movies to wear out the kiddos. It does have high speed WIFI / internet or if you have some work to finish off at the eat in counter or small table.
We feature professional cleaning for all our guests with all white linens, towels, comforters, as well as general toiletries like soaps, trash bags, dishwasher pods and the like though we include enough to start, it is not unlimited. You may come to our professional office if you need more.
We just want to highlight that while this condo is fully functional, clean, close to the beach and we do want you to enjoy your stay, we want you to know that it is an older, more eclectic unit with some quirks and is not perfect inside. With this space being less than a block to the beach and on the first floor, we feel it represents good value though not perfect.
This 1100 square foot spot has a washer & dryer and the 2 full bathrooms make getting ready much easier. The main bedroom features a queen bed while the guest bedroom has a matching queen bed too. In the rather spacious living room you will find a small sleeper sofa to accommodate 6 in the condo, though we do allow 8. We recommend bringing extra bedding if you want to use the sleeper sofa or choose to bring an airbed.
While you can bring an electric grill for bbq ing, this complex does not allow gas, charcoal, nor their use by the pool nor on patio. Remember on South Padre Island charcoal grills are allowed on the public beach if you so desire.
Location:
The Habitat Condo Complex is walkable to fine dining at Oysters Cover on the channel, Kellyâs Irish Pub for many draft beers as well as excellent late night bar food, the Coral Reef for a locals karaoke spot or walk down to the nearby public beach access and the walk down to Claytonâs Beach Bar & Grill or Bar Louie at the Marriott is about a 400 yard walk.
The public beach entry is about 250 steps from the beach, not bad at all and no busy 4 lane to cross. One draw back of this property is the fact that it has 1 parking space, but if you have 2 small cars you can fit them front to back - but SUVs and 4 door trucks will not fit and there is not guest parking. There is free parking at the South Padre Island Convention Center OR along nearby Gulf Blvd if you can find it as City Street.
The pool, through not heated is a nice amenity when weather is warm to wear out your kiddos and has a pretty cool 2nd floor sundeck teens and adults alike will like for sunbathing.
We say there is a space for 6 people, though up to 8 are allowed please understand there are just 2 queen beds and a small pull out couch. You would likely need to bring an airbed and bedding to get to the 8.
Greatly appreciated is reading over the house rules section so you understand this is a family oriented property where partying, over occupancy guests & no smoking up to ONE dog is allowed for a fee
We can provide our City of SPI short term rental license if you ask - it is current and in good standing. Our office phones are answered 7 days a week, 24 hours per day and we feel that is service you will not find with another host :)
Once you make booking, it is required to fill out a digital rental agreement thru our system by providing your e mail as well as a picture of your photo ID to verify to us as the primary guest you are 25 years of age or older. We cannot get the digital code to check in without this info
During March spring break and easter week the property HOA does charge a $25 per person plus tax extra security wristband fee - we charge for it prior to arrival for your convenience - note it is not our fee and we do apologize about it in advance.
