Longboat stay

Over all really enjoyed our stay . Everything was nice and clean. A little updating is needed and maybe some new pots and pans would be nice. But had a washer and dryer which was nice. We were very comfortable!

Great Stay!

We had a great stay! The unit looks like its pictures and location is perfect! The toilet was broke when we got there and the management company came and fixed it without being asked. They kept me updated on the process, too. I would definitely come back.

First visit to Sand Cay

Location, location, location! Outstanding for access to pool and beach. Unit was clean.Only suggestion is to upgrade the master bathroom. Awkward to step in bathtub to shower. A couple bottles of water would have been. nice after a long travel day

Baseball Getaway

Stayed to attend League Of their Own invitational baseball tournament for elite female baseball players. Fantastic condo,clean ,fully equipped great location right on the beach. Provided our group with relaxing down time between games. Would stay there again.

Perfect for a girls trip!

Three of us stayed at the property and absolutely loved it. It was clean, comfortable and a great location. This area is pretty quiet which is exactly what we wanted. Plenty of space on the beach and the chairs provided by the condo management are great. The one big thing missing is having enough umbrellas for all the guests. We finally got an umbrella when one was available but it was broken. Overall a great place to stay!

Beautiful Beachfront Location!

Sand Cay is a lovely setting on a beautiful, quiet beachfront -- no souvenir and tee shirt shops here. The grounds and garden are well-maintained, as is the pool area. Nice that lounges and beach toys are provided for those who don't have them. #114 is conveniently located between the pool and the beach. It is a very nicely furnished 2BR/2BA unit, with a well-stocked kitchen. TV's are provided in each bedroom for convenience. The beds were quite comfortable. I think it is highly likely that we will visit again!

Hi Torey, We are so sorry that you did not find this unit to your liking. If there is ever anything that you need that is missing from your unit like a dustpan, you can let the front desk know and they would be sure to get you one. Your comfort is key while you are staying with us. The owner was the very next guest staying in the unit right after you departed, and she has looked at the vacuum and ordered a new one for the unit, She did find the dustpan in the unit, and we are very sorry for the inconvenience that you had. The owner even replaced the living room carpet. Happiness is! This is a beautiful unit, but it is always best to look at the pictures on our official website to see pictures and virtual tours of all our beautiful units. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm and friendly office staff who made us feel right at home.The condo itself was spacious and clean. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, cozy bedrooms, and view of the garden. The layout was perfect for our group of family and friends, allowing everyone to have their own space while still enjoying quality time together.The highlight of our stay was the excellent service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. Their attentiveness and genuine care made our stay truly memorable and stress-free.The location of Sand Cay Condos is another major plus. Being just steps away from the beach allowed us to spend the entire weekend enjoying the sun, sand, and beautiful ocean views. We were thoroughly impressed with the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the property. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Sand Cay several times. This was our first time staying in this particular unit and it's the first time we were disappointed. There was a leak in the ceiling from the air conditioning units above. The maintenance man fixed it right away but this was obviously not the first time as there were stains existing on the ceiling. We had some minor maintenance issues that the front office was happy to fix quickly however the unit is very dated and unfortunately the office can't help with that. The dishwasher was barely useable and the blinds were verticals that fell every time we opened or closed and were missing slats. The kitchen had very little in the way of cooking utensils ie no measuring spoons. We certainly do expect a full decked out kitchen but the bare necessities were not there or not in good shape. The front office staff is amazing and ready, willing and able to help resolve anything they can. We will definitely be back but not to this unit. The owner should really let the front office close it in the summer and do th appropriate upgrades. Unfortunately they did have a painting project going on that was the walkways to the units so the only access while they were painting was thru the slider which left your unit unlocked. Also it was the day we were checking out which meant we had carry a weeks worth of luggage coolers etc through the courtyard and not use the valet. We checked out early to avoid the hassle in the 98 degree weather. I know the they don't want to take the units off the market but instead of putting people out take the time to hold the bookings for a couple of days and complete the project in sections.

(Happiness is) This can be very helpful when it comes down to choosing a unit, as everyone has different taste when it comes to decor. If you are ever missing measuring spoons etc, let the office know and we will be sure to get you what you need. Your comfort is key! We are always taking care of any maintenance issues as they happen, and would never push them off for a later date. You were scheduled to depart the day after we were painting the walkways, and as soon as you called to let us know that you were departing one day early, maintenance, and the girls in the office, offered to move your luggage for you, and you declined. The property was well-maintained, clean and quiet. Check-in process is quick and simple. Steps from the beach and pool made it easy to access and convenient for our large group staying in other condos on the property.The only cons were that pool was very warm for July, so didn't spend hardly any time in it.Also, it was nearly impossible to get the front desk on the phone or to return a call in the months leading up to our stay. Pros outweigh cons 10 to 1. Great experience overall. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Front office, manager difficult!

The front office staff at Sand Cay is amazing! Knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating, I highly suggest dealing with them and not the Property Manager (the contact on VRBO), I asked for an early check-in since our plane was landing in the morning. The condo was sitting empty and I even offered to pay a fee. Her terse response was that I could pay for a whole extra night? Huh? A whole night for a few hours, not very welcoming or hospitable. The front desk was much more accommodating and helped us with our request so the groceries (and my family) didn’t have to sit in the car for hours. I have used VRBO dozens of times and never had an experience with such an unwelcoming property manager. Condo was beautiful, clean, and well-stocked, just direct your questions to office staff upon arrival and you will have a great vacation!

Enjoyable, relaxing stay

I picked this unit based on the pictures and location. It exceeded all my expectations! The unit was very cozy and clean. Very close to the beach. Peaceful and quiet. The only issue I have is that it is very dark outside in the parking area at night. I would have preferred to have had a bit more outdoor lighting to feel safer. Overall, the stay was wonderful. The cozy condo was decorated very cute and it felt very cozy from the moment you arrive. Also the beds were comfortable! Hoping to visit again soon.

Great family vacation spot

This garden level condo was the perfect spot for our family vacation. My kids loved playing on the shuffleboard right out the patio door and we were so close to the pool. The gulf was only a short walk away from the condo. The condo was filled with toys and fun stuff for the kids and coolers, so very prepared for a family! Can’t wait to come back this condo.
