A wonderfully cozy lakefront cottage situated on a quiet cove on High Rock Lake, located less than an hour from Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston Salem. Located on Abbotts Creek, you'll have access to High Rock Marina year round. This is the perfect retreat for a romantic getaway, a family trip, and quite possibly the best fishing in NC. With an open layout, great sunsets, huge kitchen, and several outdoor entertaining spaces, you'll have a hard time leaving!

Cottage has 1,232 square feet of charming living space with two private bedrooms and two full baths recently built in December 2022. You'll love the expansive views you'll get from the living room and kitchen! Outside, there is a spacious screened-in porch for entertaining, and a private dock to park your boat, or go fishing, swimming, or kayaking.

Living Room: features 2 sleeper sofas that makes into queen size beds, comfortable with enough room to seat 6. It's a great spot to lounge in front of the 65" TV. A Fire stick will give you access to your subscription apps like Netflix, YouTubeTV, and Hulu.

Master Bedroom: relax in our beautiful king size bed with memory foam mattress. There's a spacious closet and a master bath with a walk-in shower and a granite vanity. There is also a 50" TV with Fire stick to stream the apps you subscribe to.

2nd Bedroom: this room has 2 full sized bed. There is also a queen-size blow-up mattress in the closet. This room includes a dresser, and large closet.

Guest Bathroom: acting as a guest bath in the main living area, this spacious bathroom contains a bathtub/shower, toilet, and large granite vanity.

Kitchen: the kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. You will be on your own for groceries, but it is equipped with many spices, condiments, and olive oil to get you started. We come to the cottage about once a month and do our best to keep things stocked. If you use the last of something and feel inspired to replace it for the next guest, it is greatly appreciated. There is a Keurig coffee machine (you will need to provide your own KCups) and all the pots, pans, and utensils you need to prepare a nice meal are here for your use. There is also a large kitchen peninsula with bar seating for 4.

Dining Room: a large wooden farmhouse table with tall chairs is located here. There is enough seating for 6 people for a memorable family meal.

Outside: immediately outside of the back door leading out of the living room, you will step onto the screened-in porch with a nice lounge area with an outdoor couch, chair, rocker, and end tables. On the other side, you will find the grilling area and a space to sunbathe. The gently sloping backyard. Below that, you will find the dock where you can fish, swim, park your boat, or kayak.
***Please note, beach towels are not provided. Please bring your own and do not use bath towels for use after enjoying the lake.***

Garbage: Trash pickup is on Tuesdays. If you are staying or checking out on a Monday, please roll the trash bin out to the street for Tuesday pickup and pull back to the parking pad once they've arrived.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire main house, with the exception of one locked linen closet.
Other things to note
- There are security cameras located on the exterior of the house pointed towards entrances, driveway and the dock. These cameras are actively recording at all times.
- Maximum occupancy is 8-10 guests total. If the guest count provided is inaccurate, the host reserves the right to charge an additional $250 per person per day.
- The property is strictly NO EVENTS unless explicitly given permission before your stay. Absolutely no bachelor or bachelorette parties.
- Pets and service animals are not permitted on the property due to an allergy within our family.
- Guests are not allowed to download paid videos/movies/sporting events, etc. through the SmartTVs. If a guest downloads something during the date/time they are at the home, the owner will send an invoice through the resolution center that will be required to be paid by the guest.

As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $37 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
