The Space:

This stunning coastal getaway is just the place you've been hoping to find for your next Rockaway Beach vacation! Perfect for larger families and get-togethers with friends, this lovely home boasts a well-equipped kitchen and even a private hot tub to soak in after a day on the beach. This location couldn't get better, as it is a half-mile to town to visit the shops and restaurants. Walk or drive to the beach and enjoy the seven miles of continuous sandy beach this area is known for. Hiking or mountain biking can be found along the logging roads in the forest behind the city, where everyone can enjoy a panoramic view of the ocean from the top of the hills. You won't want to miss a visit to The Original Pronto Pup to see the world's largest corn dog and ride the mechanical corn dog. For a day trip, take the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad from Rockaway north to Wheeler and south to Garibaldi, or visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory!



The main level features burnished floors, comfortable furniture, and natural light. Stretch out on a spacious living room couch to catch up with a mystery novel or a board game or puzzle with the kids. Or, watch your favorite DVD movies on the TV. The full kitchen is open, spacious, and, well, simply adorable, with stainless steel appliances, miles of counter space, and all the terrific cookware you need to inspire your inner chef. Outside, the back deck is furnished with a table and chairs and includes a gas grill for those summer evening grill sessions with the family.



The garage has been converted into a game area with a multi-game cabinet, a hoops arcade, and, yes, a Ms. Pac-Man arcade for the adults. You'll also find a washer/dryer to wash your laundry while playing.



The main bedroom includes a queen sofa bed and a TV.

Easy access to beach from property and easy walk to Rockaway shops and restaurants. Lots of rooms for multiple families. Kids loved the hot tub and game room in the garage.

Wonderful Beach Vacation!

We had a wonderful stay. The property is SUPER family friendly -- there was a pack n'play, stools to reach the sink, a booster seat, a play room etc. The location is wonderful -- beach is right across the street and can walk to the small grocery store and a park. I will for sure stay here again!

Friend time at the beach

Great proximity to beach access. Lots of beds and plenty of towels. Games for the teens in the garage. Well stocked kitchen for cooking for many people. Comfy living space and big dinning room table for sharing meals. Handful for small issues like the toilet paper roll dispenser, a couple window cranks, a door knob need fixing. All said and done, it was a great place for our gathering. Thanks for having us!

Nice quaint, cottage, feel. Close to the beach. Remote on TV needs to be replaced. Front door code box is very loose, we could not get the lock to work. Had to use the lockbox and use the key to lock the door when we left. Overall experience was very nice.

Nice place to stay. Well supplied with lots of bedrooms. It was our yearly family vacation. We had a good time, enjoyed riding the train and also waving at the train from the back yard

Comfortable place, but upper bathroom that serves 8 or more people needs many more towel racks and hooks. We wouldn't have used as many spa towels if they could have dried. Only wastepaper basket upstairs is next to toilet. All bedrooms need them.Both showers need grab bars for safety.bedrooms need more hooks, shelves, racks.

This is a great house , lots of bedrooms and space. Close to the beach, with easy access!

We had a great stay after we figured it was out of propane! The staff and owner resolved the issue on the same morning , we will come again!

A great property for large gathering

Nice short walk to the beach, hot tub very enjoyable for all ages. Some things are in need of replacing such as dish towels and potholders, would also bring extra toilet paper and paper towels for large group. Overall, great property and had a wonderful time!

Wonderful time with family

This charming home was perfect for us, our six grown children, and 3 small grandchildren. So close to the beach and shops. The kitchen was well equipped and large. The games in the garage were a real hit! We would definitely stay here again.

Good time!!

Our family group of 13 had an excellent time. The house was so close to the beach and the out door shower made keeping the sand outside so easy! We will definitely be returning to this house.

Puffin house

Overall great experience. We did stay in the house before and loved it which is why we chose it again. Down falls were that there was construction next door and the area for the fire pit in front of the house was completely overgrown to include to shrubs to get through the gate Otherwise absolutely love the house and location.

Good house with some exceptions

This house is in a great spot, easy to get to the beach and town, lots of beds for lots of friends, but there were several things not working or broken in the house. We had to ask for help getting into the property because the door code wasn’t super clear, the microwave wasn’t working at all, the hot tub wasn’t very filled and shot water out, several doorknobs were broken so you had to latch with a hook and eye, and the toilet paper holder was completely broken.

Beach Friendly

Easily fit our family of 12. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and cooking utensils. Lots of towels for showers and beach fun. The grill and hot tub were well kept and easily to use. The best part was the short walk to a more remote part of the beach with the children (No Ocean View). Bring your own laundry detergent. And there is a three car limit that we weren't aware of until the last minute. The sand is easy to sweep up. We wished there had been a mop to mop the floors. It is the perfect home for a family get away.

This house was really disappointing for the amount that it cost. When we arrived, the refrigerator and freezer were not working. The Vacasa team was very responsive and did get us some mini fridges within a couple of hours, but unfortunately that was only the beginning of the issues.The kitchen sink does not have any cold water, it appears to be broken - and the water filter in the refrigerator was also broken, so we did not have any cold water to drink at all. Then, one of the bedrooms had dirty sheets with hair, and dried blood that we had to wash again for it to be usable. One of our party needed to sleep on the couch because the bunk beds were so uncomfortable (springs poking into their back). In general this house just wasn’t clean if you looked under beds and in corners, lacked good cooking supplies, the Wi-Fi was poor, and the doorknobs on the bathroom door kept falling off. I reported all of these issues to Vacasa and they offered a 56 refund. This is unacceptable to us who wanted to have a place to enjoy on a rainy weekend at the Oregon coast. We certainly will not be coming back.

Gardner Elk Hunt 2023

We have come to Rockaway Bch. every year for the last 16 yrs. in November. We were excited to be able to get this house for the second time this year. Last year there was more of us, so we knew it was big enough for us this year. We love the big kitchen, lots of room with 6 bedrooms and the game room. The only downfall for us is we have more than 3 cars to park which is always a challenge. If the price hadn't been increased, we would be trying to book again for next year. Short walk to beach and we were lucky with beautiful weather. Really enjoyed our family time together and early Thanksgiving dinner.

Beach rental review

We had a great time staying here with our 3 small children along with some friends and their small children. The house is big with many rooms. The bathrooms both have an incredibly big bathtub that the kids had a great time in. The beach was only a short stroll away. A few times a day the tourist train goes by and it’s fun for the kids to wave at the passengers who are waving back. It was a perfect house for families. There’s a kid room with toys and that was great. The garage also had arcade games and the kids loved it! Our only “complaints” (I hate even saying we had complaints, they’re more just things that could be improved upon), was the cleanliness. While the counters and bathrooms and main living space was overall clean, the home could really use a periodic deep clean for things like mopping the floors and wiping down the walls and blinds. We would definitely stay here again. We had a great time. Thank you so much!

Nice house but hot water kept going out!

The house was nice and in a great location - walking distance to town and the beach. However, the hot water kept going out and we had to suffer through freezing cold showers every morning. The owner came and tried to fix it and it helped, but it never really worked properly. Also, the stove didn't work well, the video games in the garage didn't work, and they didn't supply enough toilet paper so we had to go buy more while people were waiting. These things put a damper on the weekend, especially the cold showers.

Disappointed

Spiders in kitchen sink and upstairs tub when we arrived. NO outlets worked in upstairs bathroom. Difficult with 3 females! NO chlorine in hot tub. We complained on Friday and the outlets were fixed in upstairs bathroom and they put chlorine in the hot tub. Took FOREVER to get hot water at EVERY faucet. Water is not very hot and when I showered the hot water was intermittent. Very misleading when you advertise QUEEN beds in 3 bedrooms when in actuality they are FULL SIZE beds. This morning we tried to help out and vacuum the carpet in the front room , but again only certain outlets would work. When they put the chlorine in, they put so much in it was burning our eyes. The arcade was the best part of the house! Furniture is old and outdated, NO cable TV and there is a wood burning stove which is under amenities, but you neglect to disclose that we need to bring our own firewood. I realize everything won't be perfect and you need to make money for managing and maintaining property. But this was not an enjoyable experience for my family and grandchildren. You can see by all our emails and texts while on this trip. I would like a partial refund please for all the problems that arose. Randy
