I was looking for smokies cabin pet friendly near the river or creek for us to be able to bring our pup. This cabin seemed to fit the bill as it said "Creekside Cabin with Hot tub". The description talked about a "flowing creek with birdsong". When we arrived the "creek" was actually a stagnant drainage pond with loud frogs. it most certainly was not a flowing creek and not appropriate for Kids or dogs to play in. There is a ramp into the back porch, which was helpful for my Mom traveling with us, but a section of it was very steep and my hubby fell on it as it had been raining. The downstairs bathroom door was so narrow, my Mom had to turn her standard walker sideways to get in. The house itself was fine, well equipped kitchen, and a comfortable king bed upstairs, pac man arcade, foosball. The king whirlpool tub was nice, but we discovered once we drained it, there was red silt. There was (within a week or 2 prior to our stay) utilities work done outside as the yard was all dug up and muddy. Likely this was the source of the mud. Then we discovered the hot tub stayed a cool 80 degrees no matter what we did to try to get the temperature up. I had several texts with the manager. The manager apologized and did give a discount for our inconvenience. I understand the utilities work was not their fault, just disappointed I was misled by the ad and location which is the main reason for my low star rating.
