Absolutely loved our stay at this charming little yurt in McMinnville! It was the perfect peaceful getaway â surrounded by stunning scenery, local vineyards, and a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the new sauna â such a great touch for unwinding! The hosts went above and beyond, even surprising me with a sweet birthday treat that made the experience feel extra special. Highly recommend for anyone looking to slow down and soak up the beauty of Oregon wine country!
Wow! Serene and private. Surrounded by trees and bird calls but about 15 mins to McMinnville and close to vineyards for tasting where youâre off the beaten track. We appreciated the quality linens/blankets and the amazing sauna on the property! Do be careful of walking the trails on property due to poison oak.
Cute, clean, charming, quiet, and safe. This was such a relaxing place to be. Beautiful wine country, extremely clean, and the hosts have thought of everything. The shower is amazing, my stay was only one night, but it was perfect, thanks.
Would have extended our stay if the dates were available, this is such a treat. Obviously the hot shower is a major plus but there just much more charm and comfort beyond that. The yurt was spacious the trails were a nice morning coffee stroll and the camp fire with wood supplied was such a a bonus touch. We'd be back in a heartbeat
This is a super cute property with all the conveniences you could ask for. What glamping is to camping, this is to glamping. Helpful hosts, beautiful property. Weâll definitely stay again.
The yurt was so cozy and peaceful! There are trails to explore and also fun to be had in the yurt itself with games and books. We were able to cook our meals with the cookware that was available and enjoy the fire in the wood stove. It was a nice getaway from the city. đ
My partner and I truly loved the yurt and experience. The host started our fire before our arrival which was earnestly appreciated, as we had just had a chilly winter weather spell complete with snow! The yurt was easy enough to find and had every cooking amenity- sink and soap, a portable induction cooktop with a variety of skillets, a kettle and french press for coffee, the lovely touch of local reds and white's for sale inside the space. The futons were both very comfortable and my partner and I pushed them together for a mega bed experience! One seriously luxury down comforter, four very comfortable down pillows, nice sheets, and other blankets. Games and books inside, and a very nice bathroom a stones throw from the yurt. I brought my robe and was pleased with both the hot water shower and the privacy of the space. Thank you so, so much for a Valentine's day that will be always remembered.
The yurt is beautifully isolated without being really isolated. Super comfortable with the wood burning stove even when it is more chilly as it was when we were there. Impeccably clean, the host was super responsive and everything worked wonderfully! The Internet wasn't a key items for us but it was easy and consistent to let us do a few calls to say goodnight to the kids. The bathroom is cute and the shower was great. The grounds were fun to explore but watch our for poison oak! Honestly an absolutely wonderful simple home base in wine country just a few minutes outside of Mcminville.
This was a wonderfully constructed, decorated, and put together experience. The yurt was really nice and much more chic than the yurts I used to ski into. We played games and read books. The shower was beautiful and the bathroom really quaint. The on demand water heater was a little unpredictable, but everything else was perfect. My kids are begging to go back because we didnât have a chance to have a fire. This was a great idea on the hosts part and they even share their property and invite you to hike. We canât say enough positive things.
Come here to reset and recoup after an EXTREMELY tough year so far full of abrupt changes and personal losses. Needed a place to get away and just be for a while, no expectations and surrounded by nature. What a true gem this place was. It allowed me to relax, reset, work through some issues as well as just enjoy the walks in nature. The place is exactly what it said it was, no more and no less which was perfect. Just enough amenities to enjoy the space without it being complicated or over done. Really enjoyed the experience, and my dog loved the time we got to spend outdoors just walking the property. If you get the chance, stay here. you will not be disappointed!
This was a week long "clamping" trip for my brother and his son. This yurt was close to the McMinnville Air & Space museums, which was the main reason for coming here. The yurt has many amenities, but we needed to have the fire going in the small stove/fireplace when we were there. It got pretty cold in the yurt at 4:00 in the morning when the fire sent out, but the blankets helped. Nonetheless, I think a warmer season would be a better time to visit this escape in the woods. The toilet and shower in a nearby building is the same temp as the outside air. I took a shower on the last day in 41 degree temperature. Overall, a great place for our little family get-together, but I don't think our wives would have enjoyed the cold temperatures.
This property is a glamping+ experience which both charmed and surprised us. Clean, warm, comfortable - could not ask for more. The placement at the edge of the property provides an "out in the woods" vibe without feeling so isolated as to be uncomfortable/unsafe. We stayed multiple days and went through a lot of firewood (thank you to the host for the refills). We enjoyed falling asleep to the rain on the roof - much better than any relaxation app could ever replicate. The bathhouse was not heated, so showering was like getting out of a hot springs -- not uncomfortable, but invigorarting or bracing depending on your mood. The two futons were very comfortable - probably top five sleeping experience for VRBO stays. I would recommend this property to both friends and strangers; it is an experience worth having.
The host was extremely responsive and accomodating. Got to meet one of their truffle hunting hounds!
If you want the best of a camping in the woods experience without forgoing flush toilets, warm water showers and electricity you should consider staying here. We will gladly reboot if the host will have us back.
For a first time glamming, this was great! Very quaint and quiet with lots to offer. I would like to come back with friends and enjoy this wonderful area!
We are Kevin and Carly! Both from Oregon, Carly born and raised in Portland and Kevin from McMinnville! We love mushroom and truffle hunting, surfing, hiking and exploring all parts of the world! We have three kids that also keep us on our toes.
We both always wanted a farm and property and McMinnville is home to Kevin so settled on staying close to his roots while living out of town and having our own farm.
