The location gave us easy access to the bridge to go to the beach or to go into town. Traffic is a bit tricky in the area! Timing is important. The kitchen is well stocked. We had hoped for a grill, but we made do without. (Was in a picture) We missed the usual welcome folder with where things were located in the home, favorite things to do around town, or care instructions like taking the trash to the curb, or leaving instructions (strip the beds, put linens in tub etc) so we did what we thought would be courteous.
Absolute disaster at check-in. The place had not been cleaned at all. Dirty towels and washcloths hanging up in the bathroom along with their dirty trash the refrigerator full of items that had expired including milk that had been expired for over two weeks. At the time the owner had replied, we had already completely cleaned the place. It needs updated. The carpet in the bedroom completely stained. I see from other reviews. The owner is completely argumentative. I have pictures to share. I would not stay here. Also, pills were found on the floor of the bedroom. I couldnât imagine a child finding those.
location was alright. Close to restaurants in Cortez. However aver big negative was the uncomfortable mattresses. Another resident made the same comment so we contacted the owner who said the mattresses were new, and they may have been, however new does not equal comfortable. We will never stay here again because of our inability to sleep.
This was a nice, quiet, safe, old Florida style stay. It was a convenient 5 min. to beaches. We took a nice 1/2 mile walk to the bay at the end of our street. One hour away to take in spring training baseball games. The Marie Selby botanical gardens were beautiful. I'd stay there again over a hotel or motel. Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of staying there in comfort.
The facility had everything we needed. We liked the closeness to the beach. We could ride our bikes to the beach easier than driving and finding a place to park.
The neighborhood was a mix of nice and derelict but at no time did we feel unsafe.
You definitely have an over abundance of kitchen utensils!
After getting through the first 24 hours the place was nice. When we arrived the temperature was 88* with a 98% humidity. Not worried as the description states fully air conditioned. However, we unlocked the door and when we walked in there was NO A/C on! The trailer was HOT and musty smelling. We immediately turned on the three room units and there was a dehumidifier in one room along with two room purifiers. After a long night and buying air fresheners to put on top of the room purifiers it got much better. Keeping the A/C at 64*, the scent was gone and the rest of our trip was fine. The location to Anna Maria Island was wonderful and we really just slept there at night. The A/C should be turned on the day guests are coming is our suggestion in the future.
This was such a big disappointment for our stay. Property had poor sleeping arrangements, rugs had terrible odor. We could only stay one night as we got allergic reactions to the interior conditions. Besides the rugs, blinds were coated with dirt, windows had grime and dirt, . The owner and Vrbo took no responsibility despite submitting evidence as the original pictures did not reflect the actual conditions of the property.
This property has everything you need for a trip to Florida. It is so close to Anna Maria Island, but you will need a car. Slept great and was very quiet. Beach towels and chairs could be upgraded.
We enjoyed our stay at Sunny Shores. It is a nice 55+ community. The neighbors were very friendly. It was just a couple blocks' walk to the Palma Sola Bay. The property was comfortable and nicely furnished. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. The little village of Cortez had several delicious restaurants. The property is also very close to the beaches on Anna Maria Island. It was wonderful to get away from the cold Pennsylvania weather.
My family and I just got home from being down in Florida. We loved the place very spacious and made us feel like home. We canât wait to go back down and we will definitely be wanting to stay here again.
The place was very nice, had all the accoutrements one would need, Internet (WIFI), AC, two very comfy beds, TV, etc. Nice breezeway. Easy access to the highway. The primary bedroom also had an office area that worked well for taking care of business as needed. We didn't really hang out there too awful long, as we were visiting relatives most of the time. Very comfortable, and much better than staying at a hotel.
Loved the location, able to walk over the bridge to the oceanfront and having the whole house was really nice. .The beds were not good, we all had a hard time sleeping on them. Overall, good place, neighborhood really nice people.
Sheets on beds could have been cleaned. Cleanliness is a big thing for me.
Good place , great space for a small family . I feel the sheets on the bed were not cleaned well or not at all. I however took them off and used my own. Itâs great bc itâs right near the beaches and pier for those who like to fish or even just walk and see the water. We would def come back and stay here. When you go on vacation you really donât stick around the house because your out with family. So itâs nice instead of renting a big ol house you really will not be at thrroughout the day . This house is perfect.
We are located approximately one mile from the beautiful beaches on Anna Maria Island. It is easily walkable or take your bike across Cortez Bridge to the island. Lots of shopping opportunities nearby and loads of local restaurants featuring fresh caught seafood from the area. Cant beat this comfy, relaxing vacation retreat.
