Welcome to the Black Bear Cottage — a newly renovated 1902 home surrounded by forest in the heart of the Catskills, five minutes from the shops, breweries, and restaurants of Livingston Manor and a stone's throw from some of the country's best fly-fishing on the Willowemoc.
The space
Tucked away on a quiet dead-end road overlooking the forest, the cottage sleeps 8 across 4 bedrooms (3 queens + 2 twins) with 2 full bathrooms. Cook a feast in the brand-new chef's kitchen, unwind in the library nook stocked with books and games, and stream on the TV with Netflix and YouTube TV. Central AC (rare for the area!) and high-speed Spectrum WiFi with a dedicated workspace make it perfect for work-from-anywhere stays.
Outside, watch deer wander the backyard from the deck, gather around the fire pit, and stargaze from the hot tub — fireflies included in summer.
The tiny house
A charming seasonal bonus space with room for two — not counted in the listing's guest capacity, so your group of up to 8 has extra space to spread out. Please note: it has no running water or bathroom (guests staying in it use the main house bathrooms), and is warmed by space heaters in colder months.
Getting here & around
Roughly 2 hours from the George Washington Bridge. Minutes from Catskill Brewery, Main Street's shops and restaurants, Willowemoc Creek, and year-round hiking. Winter brings skiing nearby; spring opens trout season; fall foliage speaks for itself.
Dogs are welcome too — bring the whole family. Self check-in via lockbox, fast responses (usually within the hour), and a great local service team. We can't wait to host you at the Black Bear Cottage!
