House is about as advertised. There was no waffle maker and towels should have been higher quality. Other than that nice quiet place and well set up. The lake was very gross looking but that may have just been time of year.

We had a great week at this property. It was a perfect location for access to lake, marinas, restaurants, and grocery store. The house was clean and comfortable and the fenced yard was great for the dog. Great spot for families

We had a wonderful stay at Ryan's property. He was extremely helpful with suggestions on things to do, the check in/ out process and answering all my questions. It was one of the more comfortable stays we've had for our annual family trip. We had three sets of families all with young kids and the property was well set up for our situation (including dogs!). The deck and yard are child safe with multiple gates so it would be very hard for a child to accidentally fall into the lake. We used one of the kayaks provided and mainly floated off the dock. The ladder made it easy to access the water and the seating on the dock was nice for those of us who didnt feel like swimming. Inside there are tons of board games, a pac man machine and shuffle board table that kept us entertained during rainy weather. The location of the house is pretty close to the main highway making it super easy to find and also go to nearby stores or parks. 10/10 would love to stay here again in the future.

Nice looking home in a great setting right up against Lake Norman and set in a small cove. Home was ready for our arrival and had plenty of room for a group of 6. A gas grill and outdoor fire pit made meals and relaxing outdoors a must. Owner provided a few fishing poles along with two paddleboards and three kayaks. We spent a lot of time on the dock fishing or using the paddleboards and kayaks. My family had a great time and look forward to visiting Lake Norman again!

Perfect Waterfront Getaway – Relaxing and Fun

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home right on the water. It was the perfect place to unwind—peaceful, scenic, and incredibly relaxing. We loved having access to the paddle boards, kayaks, and a great selection of games that kept everyone entertained. The house itself was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable. Ryan, the host, was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing and fun getaway!

Amazing house in a beautiful neighborhood

Ryan was the best host we’ve had in any VRBO with prompt communication and fantastic accommodations, a step above all others. He made his home feel like our home! Our family had plenty of space to relax. The upstairs room and downstairs game room for my boys was so fun! There were tons of games for us to enjoy. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The home is nestled in a beautiful quiet neighborhood and we were visited by a family of 6 or 7 deer sometimes twice per day in the yard. Just the perfect space to enjoy the outdoors! Thank you Ryan for helping our family make lasting memories!

A lovely escape


My children and I immensely enjoyed our time on the lake. The home was lovely and Ryan is an outstanding host. We enjoyed the games provided in the home and time on the lake. Everything is as described. It was perfect, relaxing, end of summer family time before the school year begins.

Great Stay on Lake Norman

We like the fact the house was stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, and trash bags. We appreciated the welcome basket and the extra bottled water in the fridge. A ladder on the dock would have been nice, but we were able to rent a boat and have it at the house.

Beautiful & Comfortable!

This place is everything you expect it to be! Super clean, well stocked, peaceful & quiet, and COMFORTABLE. We travel alot and stay in alot of places that dont have beds that sleep well or couches you can stand to sit on for longer than 10 minutes, but that is not the case here. Beds and sitting areas are all comfortable and spacious and outdoor area is amazing. Will definitely stay again when in town to visit family.

Family Get Together

The home was very clean and plenty of room for our family members to be able to enjoy dinners together and yet have privacy when needed. Our host, Ryan was excellent. He was informative, professional, friendly and willing to help us out if we had any issues. We all agreed that he was awesome to have as a property host. Only a short drive away is the Lake Norman State Park which we visited several times for hiking, biking, running and even some canoeing. A very nice location for day trips. Our family time at this vacation property was enjoyed by our whole family and would highly recommend it.

Early Holiday Present

We decided to do away with the usual gifts and gift a family vacation instead. The property was amazing, better than anticipated! Our Host went above and beyond in our opinion, making the home feel like our home away from home. Based on this trip, we would definitely do it again. The area at this time of year is much quieter than in the summer, but we definitely appreciated the tranquility of the lake at this time of year.

Great Getaway

The house is everything you see and more. We truly enjoyed our stay at Lake Norman in large part due to Ryan and his wonderful home. We have three teenagers and they all enjoyed the many amenities of the house- video games, popcorn machine, kayaks, and paddle boards to name a few. The house is in a great location on a peaceful cove of Lake Norman. My wife and I agreed that Ryan and this house were by far our best experience with VRBO ever! Ryan was very responsive leading up to our trip and even during. The dock provides a peaceful place to relax. We rented a boat for several days and had no problems. We will definitely be back to enjoy this wonderful place! Thanks again Ryan!

Wonderful Weekend with the Family

My recent stay at Ryan’s (Host) lake house was an absolute dream come true! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by breathtaking views of the serene lake and surrounded by lush, green nature. This VRBO truly provided a perfect getaway, offering a slice of heaven away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The house itself was beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated, with a cozy and inviting ambiance. It was evident that Ryan paid attention to detail, ensuring that every comfort and convenience was thoughtfully provided. The highlight of the property was, undoubtedly, the stunning lakefront location. The private dock was just a few steps away from the house, making it incredibly convenient for swimming, fishing, or simply basking in the sun.The outdoor space was equally impressive, featuring a spacious deck with comfortable seating and a grill, perfect for hosting barbecues with the family. The local area also offered plenty of grocery and retail stores that were within 15 min of the house. There is a Harris teeter grocery store that allowed for us to stock up on food for our stay. Lastly, I must commend Ryan for his exceptional hospitality. He was incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring that our stay was nothing short of perfect. His attention to detail and genuine care for his guests truly made a difference and left a lasting impression. If you're searching for a slice of heaven on the lake, this VRBO is an absolute gem. I highly recommend this lake house for an unforgettable retreat, where you can reconnect with nature, create beautiful memories, and experience pure bliss.

Amazon stay on Lake Norman. Highly recommend!!

10/10! I stayed at Ryan’s property and was absolutely floored by how amazing this property was. The house was recently converted to a short term vaca rental and it’s clear the Ryan is an expert host. Check in was smooth, the house was clean and the house instructions were clearly laid out. There was even a welcome gift. Highly recommend staying at this property if you’re in the area or for a family vacation
