The Beauty of New Smyrna Beach
New Smyrna is a barrier island positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River. The beaches of New Smyrna stretch over 13 miles along the sandy east coast of Central Florida. Water activities abound. New Smyrna is the surfing capital of Florida-- try it yourself or watch the locals ride the big waves near the jetties. Play in the surf, gather seashells, or build a sandcastle with your kids or grandkids. From Ponce de Leon Inlet, you can embark on a great deep-sea fishing adventure. Should you prefer to stay closer to the shore, fish the Florida saltwater flats for the famous red fish of Mosquito Lagoon.
Though New Smyrna is a small historic town, the city offers a wide selection of shopping, dining, and cultural experiences for both its residents and guests. From beachside burger joints to restaurants serving fresh local seafood, there's something here for everyone!
We had an excellent stay. It was just as described even extra amenities available such as paper ware, cleaning supplies, and Roku TV. Did want to let you know it looks like the refrigerator freezer is new; the freezer drawer does not open all the way as it should. Would recommend adding an extra light in the upstairs bathroom. We are in the area again reach out for another stay, thank you.
Thank you for your kind feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your suggestions. We'll address the freezer issue and consider adding an extra light in the upstairs bathroom. Looking forward to welcoming you back!
The location is excellent for a simple beach getaway, and being so close to the beach was definitely the highlight of our stay. The unit was fairly clean upon arrival, the beds were comfortable, and having a washer/dryer combo in the upstairs bathroom was very convenient. We also appreciated the beach chairs and board games provided. We were able to enjoy the chairs before the rain rolled in, then spent some time with the games afterward. There were a few areas that could use attention. The interior felt somewhat cramped for a property advertised as sleeping six, especially when everyone was together in the common areas.Parking was also difficult. Each unit has two designated spaces, and it felt like the property was trying to maximize every possible inch of parking by squeezing vehicles into the two end spaces, which are heavily overgrown with large plants and partially extend into the gravel. Unfortunately, both our truck and my brother's car were scratched by the vegetation while using the end space. If you're bringing a vehicle you care about, I'd be very cautious about parking in those spots. The unit may also benefit from additional pest control. A very large roach came out from underneath the stove while we were in the kitchen. Hopefully it was isolated, but it was worth mentioning.Overall, the location is great and we enjoyed our stay, but the parking and maintenance issues could use some attention.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback, we truly appreciate it. We're thrilled the beach location and amenities like the chairs and games enhanced your stay!
Your input helps us improve. We hope to host you again in the future.
