The living room is an inviting area where guests can unwind. It features a large smart TV, and a propane freestanding stove fireplace set against a striking stone backdrop. The room’s open layout and abundant natural light make it an ideal space for relaxation or entertaining.



-Kitchen & Dining-

The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including spices, olive oil, and a selection of teas, coffee, creamer, and sugars. The open design allows for easy interaction with guests while cooking, and the adjacent dining area provides a charming space to enjoy meals together. With its modern appliances and thoughtful touches, the kitchen ensures a seamless culinary experience.



-Bedrooms & Bathrooms-

The primary bedroom is a luxurious retreat with a California king bed, a cozy reading nook, and ample storage in the large closet and dresser. The ensuite bathroom features a spa-like steam shower, and the private patio offers a tranquil spot to watch the sunset. The second bedroom also has a California king bed, while the third bedroom includes a queen bed, and both have large closets and dressers as well. Both share a bathroom with a shower-tub combo located just off the hallway.

The converted garage game room is a lively space designed for fun and entertainment. With large sliding glass doors that open up to the outdoor dining area, indoor-outdoor living is a breeze. It features a smart TV and a comfortable lounge area perfect for movie nights or catching up on your favorite shows. The entire property is yours to enjoy! Please note that the closet in the garage is being used for storage for supplies for the rental that is locked to guests.

Saddleback Escape is situated in North Joshua Tree, just 10 minutes from the shops and restaurants of downtown Joshua Tree. All homes in this area are on acreage, giving guests wide open space and privacy.

Getting Around:

Please note that the last 0.3 miles to the home is a dirt road, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are well maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have some bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.



A personal vehicle is necessary; rideshare apps are not guaranteed in this area.



Other Things to Note:

-Pool Heating Fee-

If you’d like the pool heated to 84°F, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. A daily fee applies due to high fuel costs. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September.

► October & April - $100/night

► November through March - $150/night

-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The pool and hot tub are serviced Monday & Thursday, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Dogs-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.



-Heating & Air Conditioning-

There is central heating and air conditioning in the main living areas, and ductless mini split heating and air conditioning in the game room.

-Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.
