The Space:

The Birdhouse welcomes guests for a truly unique Joshua Tree experience like no other. With high-style interiors designed by one of HGTV's leading designers, The Birdhouse's eclectic retro-inspired charm instantly captures the desert dwellers' imagination.



The living room has a smart TV cleverly hidden inside of a retro outfitting, and with an oversized plush sectional, movie night is always a hit. The stylish kitchen combines modern convenience with retro charm. With brand-new Viking appliances, it's a chef's dream kitchen that comes fully stocked with a variety of spices, oil, cookware and utensils; everything you need to cook and grill.



Each of the sleeping areas has extremely comfortable memory foam mattresses. The bathrooms are outfitted with luxury rain showerheads, and boutique, hotel-quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.



The Game Room features a regulation pool table, two big-screen TVs, a record player with numerous records, and other various board games.



The true highlight of this property is the spacious backyard. The fully-fenced backyard stuns with a sealine container converted swimming pool, six-person hot tub, pickleball court, cornhole boards, gas fire pit, gas BBQ, and numerous sitting and lounging areas. You have your own piece of paradise to soak in the stunning sunrises and sunsets, Milky Way, and endless rolling desert mountains.

Guest Access:

The entire house and property is yours! Please note that there are a storage closet and a storage shed locked to guests however. There is parking for 2 cars in the front driveway and parking to the left of the house with enough space for 4 additional vehicles.



The Neighborhood:

The Birdhouse is located comfortably between Downtown Joshua Tree and Downtown Twentynine Palms and right outside of the Indian Cove Entrance to the National Park. You'll enjoy the seclusion of the desert landscape, while being comfortably close to restaurants, bars, shopping, and hiking.

Getting Around:

This is a remote location down dirt roads, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.

Birdhouse Layout:

Please note that The Birdhouse includes two open-concept buildings. The Main House consists of the main bedroom area with one king bed open to the living room, kitchen, and dining area. The Game Room includes a king bed and a two double bunkbed bedroom area open to the rest of the Game Room. Please make sure you are comfortable with these arrangements before booking!



Pool Heating:

If you’d like the pool heated to 84°F, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. A daily fee applies due to high fuel costs. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September.

► October & April - $100/night

► November through March - $150/night

Pool Service:

To keep the pool as pristine as possible, the pool is serviced every Monday & Thursday morning. Please note that the time of their arrival may vary due to their busy schedule. Our pool technician, in order to respect your privacy, will enter via the backyard gate by the driveway and go straight to the pool. He will not approach the house, but please be aware he will be there during this time. Please note that while we try our best to keep the pool clean with our service, occasionally the high winds blow sand into the pool.

Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips:

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. ESAs/service animals should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



Mounted iPad:

The house utilizes an iPad with which you can easily control the surround-sound music with preset playlists. If that's not your style - no worries! We have several Bluetooth speakers for you to use! If you have any trouble during your stay, please just shoot us a message.



Electric Vehicle Charger:

There is no fee to charge your electric vehicle! Charger is a Standard Level 2 Charge Port @ 240v 40amps. For Tesla, you will need to bring the SAE J1772 Charging Adapter that came with your Tesla.



Pest Service:

To keep the desert critters at bay, our pest technician will spray the exterior of the home every month. We try to schedule this while guests are not in the house.



Trash Service:

A trash bin is located to the right of the main house. Trash pickup is every other Monday.



Cleaning Fee:

100% of the cleaning fee goes directly to our hardworking cleaners.
