Outer Banks beach bliss awaits at this relaxing Rodanthe retreat! Furnished for family comfort, this laid-back beach house boasts beautiful ocean views just steps from the beach. A private deck offers an ideal vantage point for taking in the views while enjoying cold drinks, and an outdoor shower is equipped beneath the home for rinsing off after trips to the beach. During your stay, be sure to pay a visit to the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Site where you can learn about the region's vital history of maritime rescue. There are some great local dining options nearby and the Hatteras Island Fishing Pier is just over a mile from home.

At home, relax and unwind with central air-conditioning and other modern comforts like free WiFi and a TV in the living room. The stainless steel full kitchen is ready and equipped to handle any home cooking needs. A private washer/dryer rounds out the home essentials.

As a result, the availability schedule may change without prior notice.

The Beach

The house is amazing, and very clean. It is less than a two minute walk to the beach. The porch is such an amazing place to see the sunrise right on the water. My friend and I enjoyed our stay.

We LOVED the outdoor shower! Best we’ve seen! The walk to the beach is super easy. Beds and furniture are comfortable. Kitchen has everything you might need. Plenty of toiletries were provided. We would recommend this property 100%.

We loved our stay at the shore shack. It was perfect inside and out. We loved sitting on both sides of the wrap around porch for sunrise and sunset views!! The beds were comfortable and having the extra 1/2 bath was a bonus with 4 people. They had all the comforts of home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at 'The Shore Shack'

This is the first time for us with vacasa, cape hatteras and the shore shack. All of them beat our expectations. The house is just a few steps from the ocean and it had everything (beach toys, chairs, in door games, dvds, books) you need in a beach house except for food. The house is great and very strongly recommend. We booked in the very last minute, may be book early to get better price.

Shore Shack was the best!!!

The property is lovely, literally 2 houses from the ocean!!! Nice porch with ample seating where you can see beautiful ocean views! Outdoor shower, nice paved driveway. The kitchen was stocked with everything (not food), dvd's, games, books, nice television, comfy beds, a washer and dryer right there was great!!! My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay!! Highly recommend!!!! *********

Beach house

Everything was wonderful. The house was nice. The central air and fans made it so comfortable. The beds were so cozy. I loved the decore! My only suggestion is maybe a few beach chairs and also better soap to wash the dishes. I kept forgetting to buy more when i was out. It would really benefit you since your kitchen is fully stocked and people are washing your dishes. I had trouble getting them clean. Thanks for letting us stay! Wonderful memories were made!

We loved our stay and it was a great location, but the communication with the owner was terrible! They never answered our questions directly and did not give us help with our problem of turning the air conditioner off.

Nice but very dirty and AC not working-too cold!!

Nice but very dirty-dirt balls and food on floor. Ants crawling on kitchen counter tops. The AC nest system said it was 80 degrees but it must have been 15 to 20 degrees COLDER. It was VERY cold and lots of dirt on the floor.

Very cute place

This house was cute! I booked it knowing I would be 8 months pregnant with my 70 year old mom and 2 young kids. I thought that it would be very easy access to the beach right at the end of the street but that was not true. The beach there was not useable. Lots of broken wood, high tides, and even pieces of electrical wiring from a house falling into the ocean. I was really disappointed with that but other than that the house was really great! We did have an ant problem that Vacasa said they would send someone out for but no one came. We made it work. The amenities and comfort inside the actual house were good!

Nice and clean

Was a nice clean little house definitely older but was remodeled and had nice floors and paint!! Great location on a very slow road not much traffic directly out front of the property at all!!! It’s super close to the beach 30 second walk and you are on the beach!!! Over all very nice and worked well for us!!! However I’m sure in the listing it said at there was only one shower? I’m sure I just overlooked that part because it was a work trip and didn’t really spend a lot of time looking at the amenities or description since it was a 2 night stay!! But that was the only thing I would see being an issue if you had multiple couples or kids!!! But overall great spot!!
