New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Ocean Green is located on Island Drive just minutes from shopping, dining, and more. Discover all that North Topsail Beach has to offer from our vacation on Topsail Island including fine dining, sea kayaking, fishing, and world class golfing.

The ground level of this home features a single garage that holds a full-size washer/dryer. The living space of this beachfront charmer is filled with cool tile flooring and offers a sleeper sofa and a TV with a DVD player. Taking advantage of the shape, this home has two sliding glass doors that lead to the oceanfront deck. Sit back and grab some rays on the large deck or simply enjoy the sounds of the waves as they come onto the sand. A fully equipped kitchen will make cooking a breeze - and the tile floor will be a cool relief after walking on the hot sands of the beach all day. This space offers casual wood cabinets with onyx-colored countertops, a refrigerator with an icemaker, a built-in microwave, blender, coffee maker, and toaster oven. Two white rattan bar chairs add extra seating at the kitchen bar. Enjoy freshly caught seafood dinners at the round dining room table, which accommodates up to four.

The first bedroom has a TV, telephone, alarm clock, ceiling fan, white-washed furniture, and a window that looks out onto the ocean. The second bedroom offers a TV, ceiling fan, and softly painted green furniture. These two bedrooms share a bath, easily accessible in the hallway. The main bedroom sits on the street side. This large space is filled with beach flair. The room has an en suite bathroom with a pedestal sink, shower, and tile floor.

With this property, you’re definitely paying for the beach view and access- definitely not the house. We were extremely disappointed with the cleanliness, quality of the furniture, technology, and WiFi. When you come in, the first thing you notice is the amazing view of the ocean, but once you start looking around you quickly realize the quality of the house is just not up to par with other rentals.

Perfect location!

Overall we LOVED our stay here! The location is absolutely amazing! The only “complaint”we have is the living room seating is not verycomfortable. The house was pretty clean but theappliances getting updated would be a nice addition! The updates that have been done are stunning! This is a beautiful spot and an adorable cottage!

The location of this house is unbeatable!!! The street is quiet, not far from local shops, right on the beach!! Nothing beats a cup of coffee in the morning on the deck....fit our group comfortably. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Great place if you have fur babies!

We stayed during off season and there is no leash law the dog had a blast! The adults did too!

Good Green

Ocean Green is a comfortable cottage. The location is as perfect as you will find. The few steps to the beach is amazing. The house is a bit outdated with the need for updates, however our family will definitely being staying here again.

The key pad to get into the door did not work and that was a little stressful. Vacasa agents were helpful and there was a lockbox key available. The house was not as equipped with basic essentials as we are used to like salt and pepper, a strainer, coffee filters, cooking oil, sugar, a roll of paper towels, basic cleaning supplies, menus, notes about the house, or where to find things in the area are a few items we would expect. The location is unbeatable but a few small gestures to make your guests feel welcome would go a long way. We had an amazing time and all in all enjoyed our stay it just took more time to settle in than were used to.

Great views!

Location is awesome. Go down 8 steps and you are on the beach. No other ocean-fro g houses in either direction for quite a distance. Comfortable and relaxing and great beach views from the couch in both directions thanks to the shape of the house and the two sets of glass doors.

The location was fabulous but our house wasn't ready to checkin and we were already there and had to wait till 4:30 then the keypad entry would not work and there was no keys in the lockboxes they sent a local rep and he said he'd send a locksmith and someone with a key locksmith never showed the entire week the bed was so uncomfortable I woke every morning with my back aching and the sofa was uncomfortable if those few things were fixed I would have given it a 5 star

Very disappointed in Vacasa.

This was the third or fourth time at this property and each time we could see a gradual deterioration of this home. Why do I go back? Because the owner allows us to take our 3 dogs which I greatly appreciate and the location is the best. It saddens me because this home has so much potential and it just needs some TLC.

Location was perfect and the view was to die for to wake up every morning and walk out on the porch and look right at the ocean was amazing but the house was not that Great the wall paper was falling off and the house was not clean when we had arrived the WiFi never worked because they gave us the wrong info to began with and we could not get access the laundry room for a day and a half because was wedged shut then once you get to the dry it is in a terrible location you can barely open the door to get clothes out

Not a good experience

This place needs to be remodeled from the inside out. It is obvious that they have let the property and amenities become too much to upkeep. I do not recommend this property for your family vacation. The furniture is not comfortable and some not functional/broken, the WiFi is very spotty, it smells musty, the kitchen cabinet doors are barely functional and you cannot escape the sand. How is this an allowed property rental?? Vacasa should do better. Extremely disappointed!

Room for improvement

The location of this house is unmatched! You are quite literally right on the water. The house needs some work (rotting door frames, lots of evidence of water damage, old furniture, etc) but was still a comfortable stay. Unfortunately we did not have running water until the day after we checked in. The county was repairing the waterlines and issued a boil water advisory. We were not notified by Vacasa and only found out about the advisory when buying medication for our sick dogs (who drank water from the tap) at the pet store. Negligent at best and really disappointing communication. We also requested trash bags because the single bag that was left had a hole in it. Vacasa told us to check the cabinets and drawers; when we did not find any they never responded, so we had to purchase our own. Great location with a house that has potential. Unfortunately the management of the property is very poor.

DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE — UNSAFE, UNSANITARY, AND SHOULD BE CONDEMNED

This house should not be on the rental market. It is unsafe, unsanitary, and misleadingly advertised. The couch was filthy and collapsing, a chair had been nailed back together, and most furniture was damaged or broken. The windows were fogged with broken seals, and the sliding door was so packed with dirt it was dangerous to open. The dining table was not as pictured—scraped, dirty, and missing cushions. There was no working dining room light, and the only nearby fixture flickered so badly we had to remove the bulb for our epileptic son’s safety. The kitchen was severely understocked. The cookware was burned and unusable, the silverware dollar-store quality, the refrigerator rusty and missing door shelves. Mold was growing behind the sink, and the A/C vents were filled with dust and black mold. The A/C barely cooled during the day. The bedding was stained with what appeared to be bodily fluids. After complaining, Vacasa dropped off cheap “bed-in-a-bag” sets and expected us to wash them. Closets and dressers reeked of mold. One blind had a 4-inch hole facing a public access point—took 3 days to replace. Both showers had black mold. The basement reeked of mildew and mold was visible on the walls. Under the house, insulation was hanging and the subfloor was falling apart. One ceiling fan shattered when we tried to adjust it. Carpets were filthy. Lighting was terrible. Screens were broken, windows taped shut, and many features were unsafe. This house is misleadingly advertised and poses health and safety risks. Do not rent this property. Vacasa should be ashamed to manage it.

Prospective Guests Should Be Informed

While we enjoyed the stay overall, there was good with the bad. Location: Good - Beachfront. A few steps down and you are on the beach! Bad - Right next to public access point Communication: Good - Although there were clean linens and towels available in the home, we had a dirty bin of linens and towels left on the property. A call was placed and we received freshly laundered linens and towels within hours Bad - A water main broke and we were without water for hours (no fault to the property manager). However, we place three calls and were told a ticket would be opened to enable continued updates on the situation. We did not receive a call back until the next day inquiring if water was available General: The home is not the best kept. We realize it's on the beach and the salt can wreak havoc in all sorts of locations. However, there were examples that should be addressed: moldy and missing floorboards in the bathrooms, ceiling stain in bedroom from water damage, and dirty air returns to name a few. Lastly, don't expect to be meet with a full assortment of general amenities. There were 4 rolls of toilet paper and 3 dishwasher pods provided for an entire week's stay, a catch-all drawer for limited silverware, measuring cups, etc., and the pots and pans were used and worn to the point that they are dangerous (we set many aside in a guest bathroom and they should be thrown away). This is not a "buyer beware" situation, but guests should definitely be informed and prepared!
