Poppy's Place Beach House

Poppy's Place is an updated second-row beach cottage. Excellent location for you and the family/friends. A very short walk to the beach. Public beach accesses are conveniently located on both sides of the property at the intersection. Beach toys, umbrella, chairs, and wagon are available in the garage for you. 2 car garage. Large driveway for parking or outdoor games. This is the perfect location for walking, running, or biking! Low traffic area and safe for children. Nice park for children 5 blocks away.

Quiet neighborhood with minimal traffic, excellent spot for riding bikes, walking, running, and allowing kids to play safely. Second row, half a block from beach access point with an easy walk for most. A beautiful new kids playground is 5 blocks away, excellent for toddlers and young kids.

Access to restaurants, shops, etc within 5 minutes: drive, bike, or rent a golf cart. In and around the neighborhood you can walk, run, bike, rent a golf cart or drive around and enjoy the area right along the beach.

Wonderful location...within walking distance to shops and restaurants but on a quiet stretch of houses. Excellent communication with owner! We loved sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs and adirondacks.

Our stay at Poppy’s Place Beach House in Surf City was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless and welcoming. The home is not only immaculate but also thoughtfully designed with every detail you could need for a relaxing getaway.We spent the week enjoying the beach, exploring Surf City and Topsail, and coming “home” each evening to the most peaceful, comfortable space. Wonderful Stay!

We had a great time at Poppy’s Place. Very clean and has all the basic amenities to include the Keurig coffee maker. Gas grill was great for making a hot dog lunch for the grandkids. Lots of beach chairs and items in the garage. Beach access 10 is the closest but does have stairs. Would stay here again. Great communication as well with Amber.

Surf City visit

My wife and I had to make a trip on short notice for a funeral and we were very fortunate to be able to stay here. The vibe of Surf City is very relaxed and Amber’s house was a perfect place to come back to at the end of the day. It was very clean and the location was great for walking on the beach or going into town. Thank you very much, Amber, for your hospitality and the great value staying at your house provides.

Great place!

Poppy’s Place was a perfect place for my friends and I to relax. It’s practically on the beach and has a great back deck. The house was very cute and clean and Amber was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Oh! We do like to be beside the seaside!

The property Poppy's Place is really cute! It is very well maintained and space is used really well. At the front the lounge/dining area leads onto a deck which has views of the sea and provided a great space for our dogs to sit and watch the world go by (they loved it). It is less than a five minute walk to the beach entrances both to left and right. The beaches were lovely, quiet and clean. We were made to feel very comfy in the home, there was everything we needed.I would definitely recommend and we are looking to book a second visit this Spring!

We loved Poppys Place!

Poppys Place is a beautiful home that was set up perfectly for two couples and two kiddos (although four kiddos would have also fit just as nicely). It is a beautiful home, very clean, and close to the beach as well as many fun areas, stores and places to eat. The owner was kind and responsive as well. We really loved our stay!

We came with our dog. We liked how they had the dog bowls ready for us. They also had muffins and a welcome card. Place is quiet, which we LOVED! The walking distance to the beach is like 2 minutes! Loved the bikes! If we decide to vacation down there again we will definitely rent out Popi’s place again! ❀ Thank you

Amazing Beach House

Very clean, well maintained home. Great place to stay with family and pups! Very spacious, well stocked and good location. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay! Adorable, super clean, great location!

This was our 4 year coming to the island! The house was just what the pictures showed! Everything was provided even though we brought paper goods to help replenish. The house was very clean and the host is super responsive and helpful! It took a couple times for me to figure out the entry lock but needed the key inside to fix the issue! The only thing I would agree with on past reviews is the cactus issue in the yard. You can use the back yard at all due to the mini cactus that you will be picking out of you or your pet every time.I would recommend this house to anyone! Thanks for a great stay!

Best VRBO I've ever rented.

We stayed for 6 days and it was amazing. Amber was very open with us and made it a completely stress free check in. We showed up and were informed the garage door was having issues. Within twenty minutes she had someone there to fix it. On top of how easy it was to check in, it's in a beautiful area. Your about 1 block from public beach access. The house was just as described and pictures do it justice. Very clean as well. Would 100% recommend.

Excellent communication from the owner; extremely clean; close to everything. The home had all the conveniences that you would want and is beautifully decorated. Plenty of room for us and the added convenience of beach chairs, umbrellas and a wagon was a plus.
