Beachy Keen is a cozy, rustic beach cottage located just up from the water, perfect for couples or small families. You'll have single-story convenience with two bedrooms and one-and-a-half bathrooms to accommodate all your guests. Relax and take in the ocean view out on the covered oceanfront deck with plenty of seating and rocking chairs, plus a private walkway to the beach. Amenities include a washer/dryer, a Keurig coffee maker, a dishwasher, a microwave, central heat and air, free WiFi, ceiling fans, a flatscreen TV, cable, hardwood floors, an outside hot and cold shower, built-in seating, and a Ping-Pong table.

Wonderful Retro Home!

We so enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for a family of four. The house is retro, and extremely clean. So charming! The outdoor shower isn’t the most accessible, but that was our only complaint. We had to contact Vacasa for a maintenance call and they were fabulous. We had someone out within an hour of our text. We will be back!

It was very clean and cozy. It is a rustic sorta dated house, but it’s very very cozy. Once you get used to it, it had the best front porch on the whole beach. it’s a great getaway location for a small family

Absolutely fantastic classic Carolina Beach Cottage

This is a well maintained and super cute classic Carolina Beach Cottage. It is decorated with fun eclectic beach art and furnished adequately. The oak hardwood floors and original pine paneling transport you back to a simpler time. The house has easy access out to the beach. Everything was great and I was impressed with Vacassa property management company.

Wonderful old school Carolina Beach House.

This is a great nostalgic Carolina beach house. It is classic. It is a fantastic no frills experience. The beach is wonderful. Easy access to the ocean via the boardwalk from the back porch. The back porch is great for enjoying the sounds of the ocean and rocking in the chairs. It's a classic no frills beach vacation.

Great location

The location is exactly what we wanted! We had stayed here years ago and not much had been updated. One of the burners did not work, the closet door was off the track, the living room lamp’s switch was broken, and a chunk of the blinds in the living room were missing. We reached out to Vacasa and they offered to fix these things while we were there. We did not have them fixed while we were there. We missed having a kitchen table, but enjoyed our stay here.

We appreciate you bringing the issues to our attention, and we understand that you opted not to have them addressed during your visit. The blinds and sliding closet door have open repair tickets, and we’re coordinating repairs between guest stays to minimize disruption. While the sliding closet door may not close fully, it should still function adequately for your needs. The small break in the blinds also doesn’t impact their functionality, but we are addressing any repairs that are needed. Very Disappointed

Pros: Nice porch to enjoy the ocean breeze and see a little water. The beds were comfortable and thank goodness the air conditioner worked well. I would say kitchen was relatively well stocked. CONS: The front burner on the stove was broken and worse than that the dishwasher had black mold inside. The air conditioner vents above the couches had condensation and would actually drip on our heads at times. The blinds in the cottage were filthy. Furniture quite old as well as furnishings, but I expected that. The day before we left I saw a roach. I will say I made VACASA aware of the stove and dishwasher problem and they were to quick to send someone out and even gave me a credit on our payment. I did not say anything about the other things because I had only a few days left. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Felt Neglected

Quick summary? This house felt neglected and made more work for us instead of more relaxation for our family of five. GOOD: the house stayed cool in the 100° temperatures we had. The washer, dryer, Keurig, and dishwasher all worked great. BAD: The full bath is attached to the master bedroom and the half bath is the main bathroom in the hallway. Mouse droppings on top of the refrigerator. Goldfish crackers under the beds in the 2nd bedroom from previous tenant. A 2” cockroach in the master bath. Rotting wood in various places throughout. Broken closet door in the 2nd bedroom. Unusable lamp in the living room. Large burner on stove didn’t work. The frying pans are scratched up with the black non-stick surface peeling off. Bathroom doors don’t latch. Screens on the screen doors were broken and the spring was missing on the back door. Deck was a splinter waiting to happen with many of the rusted nails sticking up causing tripping hazards. Available beach equipment was broken. Hose to clean yourself off after being on the beach was split without much coming through the actual nozzle. Pictures show five chairs at the counter but there are only four in the house. Not helpful for a family of five. Add this all together, the house felt neglected. We wondered just how long it’s been since the owners have been in the house. We loved Holden Beach and want to bring our family back in the future but it will NOT be to this house.

2nd Stay

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here. Vacasa seems a bit unresponsive. We found a total of 4 quite large cockroaches, attempted to contact Vacasa via their app, and got no response. Additionally, we received a text saying to “click here to check out”. We clicked, and there was no option to check out. No big deal, but if you’re going to send a text, you should probably link it to some sort of checkout button. Lastly, Vacasa seems to have taken the personal touch away from the house. There was once a framed letter from the owners telling about themselves, and it is no longer there.

The house was so well decorated for the beach! We have stayed there several times over the years. Always a nice place. Right on the beach! The few concerns we had was resolved by Vacasa within a couple of hours, and on a Sunday! Looking forward to our next stay at Beachy Keen!
