Keep an eye out for the natural beauty all around you: coastal wildlife, calm-water views, and great bird-watching right from the property. Take in panoramic sunset views and incredible stargazing from the crow's nest, then wind down with even more sunset watching from your brand-new second-floor hot tub. Step off your boat and onto your very own canal-front deck, perfect for grilling your fresh catch of the day. You'll also love the outdoor shower to rinse off after a day on the water. Enter Horizon House through the mudroom—perfect for kicking off sandy shoes and keeping your gear organized. The first floor features a convenient half bath and three bedrooms: a queen bedroom to the left, a second queen bedroom to the right with deck access, and a bunk room at the end of the hall—ideal for the kids. Upstairs, enjoy waterfront views across the entire top level. Great house with a Great view

Stayed for a long weekend to take advantage of the beautiful fishing weather. This house was the perfect location for all our favorite restaurants and beach access. Would rent this house again!

Great views of the sound,bad crabbing and fishing but It was fun. Close to the drive on beach, for that It was a good location.

Beautiful house and perfect location to disconnect from everyday life and stress. No need to use the TV or nice selection of DVDs. The changing colors of the sky and amazing views were our screen. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. All fine.

Fishing with our family and close friends was the best part of renting this house! It is well equipped, like I said the hot tub issue put a damper in our vacation mid week due to not working properly.

Nice Home

The home was very nice, well taken care of. When we arrived trash was overflowing on the ground and we were without internet for 2 day which was needed for work. Hope for compensation missing time for work. But an awesome place to stay

We had a wonderful time, house was perfect for us 4 adults. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Got to check in early. Dock was a little small but worked great for launching our kayak’s. Caught fish from dock. House was very clean when we arrived. Loved it, didn’t want to leave. Thanks

Week of paradise

Location is everything and this home had views for as far as your eyes can see. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing 🤩. Just sitting on the deck, watching the views and listening to the sound was exactly what we both needed. The house was clean beautiful and felt homey. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while star gazing. Let’s talk about the beds…oh my goodness, they were like sleeping on clouds! We slept extremely well ✌️ definitely a place we would come back to!! Cute house with potential but had maintenance issues

House is cute and has potential to be fantastic if kept up/maintained better. Big maintenance issues that should have been inspected and addressed/fixed prior to guests arriving for summer vacations (including a number of safety issues) and these have all been sent to Vacasa by renter in the hopes they resolve these for other guests before they spend their hard earned savings on a family getaway. Overall, the house is in a great location, beautiful views, nice hot tub, bright inside, great sunroom (minus the roaches in there and in bedrooms), and comfy furniture.

A fine place to stay

Overall, we had a great time at this property. Unfortunately the hot tub didn't work after the first night. We tried to contact the management company and received an automatic reply but they didn't offer any help before our departure. The house was well equipped and clean. The house could use some fresh paint here and there and maybe some new carpet but those were minor issues. Also, we were offered early check in which was nice too. The beds including the bunk beds and other furniture were comfortable and clean.

A quiet honeymoon

We really loved this house. It offers stunning views and great amenities. It was a great time. There are some things that need to be repaired around the property such as the chairs and tables on every deck level, the chairs on the dock as well as the bench. My husband and I refused to use the stairs outside from the second to the third floor because they were rotted and unstable. The hot tub needs a new face plate to protect the filters. All mostly cosmetic issues. Everything else was perfect.

Nice home, but needs a few updates.

Let me start by saying that this review is to give constructive criticism. We enjoyed ourselves and had amazing weather this week in OBX. Considering they got hit pretty hard by rain the weeks before. I think the house has been maintained very well inside. There is definitely room for improvement outside. The wooden furniture is splintering and it's time to just replace them. A nice plastic lounge chair on the very upper deck to sun bath would be perfect. It would have to be anchored down due to wind, but it's possible. The hottub was the biggest disappointment of our stay. Whoever maintains the chemical balance needs to be more considerate of checking chlorine levels. We didn't get to use it the entire week! I know we could have called, but it still wouldn't have been corrected during our stay I don't think. It needed drained and refilled in my opinion. Oh, and they only left 2 trash bags for a family of 4 for a week. I found that a little odd. The dryer and dishwasher are both ready to be updated. Took so long to dry clothes, and I had to hand dry everything out or the dishwasher. Again, I'm just trying to help with little things so this house can be a 5 star! It's definitely a gorgeous location and perfect for those who enjoy fishing, kayaking, boating, etc.

Regarding the hot tub, we encourage guests to reach out to us immediately if they experience any issues. Our service team would have been happy to adjust the chemical balance or refill it promptly upon your arrival or the following day. Unfortunately, we cannot address problems we are unaware of. As for the trash bags, please note that providing two kitchen trash bags is a standard amenity for us. We also want to clarify that we provide our guests with a starter kit of supplies, which includes cleaning supplies, toiletries, and paper products. Once these initial supplies run out, it's the responsibility of our guests to provide any additional items for the remainder of their stay. Your constructive criticism is invaluable to us as we strive for a five-star experience. Thank you again for sharing your insights! We hope to host you for a more enjoyable stay in the future.

September 2022 Stay

This house is lovely! We very much enjoyed our stay. You can tell the owner put a lot of work into the house. The location is beautiful and the views are to die for! Perfect spot to fish off the dock. We did had an issue with the coffee machine. There were 3 and each was missing parts/broken. I let management know and within 3 hours a new pot was sitting at our front door. My 3 yo also accidentally kicked off the silent alarm by accidentally unplugging the unit. Management called and they were very king and understanding. My only suggestions for the house: new outdoor furniture by the dock, some solar outdoor string lights for the top deck and down by the dock, and some new family games. The outdoor furniture by the dock was not really usable. It was splintered and wobbly. We used our beach chairs instead. Wasn’t a big deal. Some solar outdoor string lights on the top deck, around the hot tub, and down by the dock would add some great beach vibes to this already amazing house. Lastly, adding some family games for tenets would be a great feature for rainy days. Chess, connect 4, battleship, twister, candy land… just some examples. It rained one day and we totally forgot to pack a game or two. We would totally stay here again. The house was super clean upon arrival, no issues with insects inside or outside the house, hot tub worked great, the sun room was fantastic (loved the cough… wonder where it’s from haha), and the location is breathtaking during sunsets! Probably our favorite house that we’ve stayed in the OBX, and we been coming to Avon/Hatteras on vacation twice a year for almost 10 years.
