We've designed Best Box with care for our guests, and we hope you feel appreciated the moment you step inside. We’ve vacationed on Hatteras Island for decades, so we’ve filled our home with the features we always valued.

It can be challenging to find an OBX vacation home with solid recreational amenities that doesn’t also come with a 10-bedroom price tag. We're here to change that! Inside, our Game Room offers a full-sized Kick Triumph foosball table, a regulation dart board, and a flat-screen TV to catch the game. Our Living Room boasts a 65-inch TV with Roku streaming and HDMI ports and a spacious sectional for family movie nights. For easy-breezy indoor days, our shelves are filled with novels, short stories, cookbooks, board games, puzzles, coloring books, and crafts. Outside, we offer two single kayaks, two fishing kayaks, two inner tubes, a fish-cleaning table, an outdoor shower with bait fridge, and a 70-foot boardwalk with a ladder for refreshing dips in the sound. Toss our frisbees, fly our kites, play an exiciting round of cornhole, and express yourself with sidewalk chalk. We offer comfortable Adirondack chairs for soaking in the rays, a Caldera hot tub/spa for sunset happy hour, and a telescope for those Milky Way nights. Heading to the beach? We offer beach chairs, lightweight microfiber beach towels, boogie and skim boards, beach toys, and reusable tote bags.

Do you like to cook? Fantastic! We've built a kitchen for you! Bright and spacious open-plan kitchen with sound views, granite countertops, quality appliances, reliable knives, and a full range of cookware. If you’re the sort of cook who packs six weeks of food for a one-week vacation, we offer a large refrigerator with a freezer drawer, a generous open pantry with sliding shelves, and an adjacent spice rack. If you’re the sort of cook who shops daily for fresh ingredients, Best Box is only 10 minutes from Buxton Seafood, Conner’s Supermarket, and the ABC store!

Do you hate to cook? Lucky you! A quick drive to Buxton or Frisco scores you early-morning apple uglies, full southern breakfasts, doughy pizza, enormous subs, award-winning fish tacos, flavorful salads, local seafood, fried chicken, amazing sushi, juicy steaks, decadent fudge, and hand-dipped ice cream. If you’re not in a food coma, are you even on vacation?

Feeling sleepy? Each of our beautiful bedrooms comes with a quiet, balanced ceiling fan, a comfortable desk, a full-length mirror, double night stands, easily accessible power strips, an area rug, window blinds, a flat-screen TV with Roku streaming, HDMI, and remote control, and clear views of the sound. Each bed has a new, high-quality memory foam mattress made up with luxury microfiber sheets and a plush cotton quilt. We hope you sleep soundly, wake joyfully, and lounge so hard people come to check on you.
