Get yourself a wonderful beach retreat when you book this three-story home with a private pool and hot tub! You will be located just a few blocks from the beach and fantastic dining options for when you are not in the mood to cook and dine at home. Visit the historic Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Site just a mile up the road, where you can learn all about the members of the U.S. Life-Saving Services who risked their lives to rescue travelers in peril on the North Carolina Coast, or The Eye of Rodanthe, two miles away.

This ocean-view home features an enclosed backyard for added privacy. Here, you will find the sparkling outdoor pool that will help you cool down during warm summer days. There is a private casita-like hut where your private hot tub awaits. Spend a bubbly and soothing evening treating yourself to a well-deserved bath after spending the day at the beach or swimming to your heart's content. For added convenience, there is an enclosed outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand.

The main living space is located on the third floor of the home. Featuring an open floor plan, this space will be the ultimate gathering spot after thrilling days exploring Rodanthe and everything it has to offer. Spread out comfortably in the living area before playing any of the provided board games. If you are not in a competitive mood, you can always grab your favorite blanket and curl up in front of the TV and watch your favorite cartoon or movie. When mealtime comes, the cook of the group will have a great time playing around in the open kitchen. This well-appointed kitchen is complete with all the essentials, including a Keurig coffee maker to start your day off on the right foot and a dishwasher. This level also features a beautiful balcony where you can unwind, take in the spectacular surroundings, and relax. All five bedrooms are scattered around the first and second levels. Additional amenities include a washer/dryer and AC.

Nice and low-key

This house had a great location (quiet and away from the bustle of Nags Head) while still being close to all the things you want in a beach destination. The pool was very nice and larger than expected. The house is just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

Great spot - would stay again!

Comfortable and relaxing, great location, private. Hot tub is wonderful and beds were just right! No fenced in area of the yard for the pups, but great street and beach access to walk them. Would stay again!

The area was nice and quiet but it was about 30 minute drive to get to a grocery store or main shops. I would go back to Rodanthe but not this house again. They need to take a week or two rental income and put it back into the house

Property needs lots of attention, things have been neglected, dead plants/weeds in planters outside, overgrown bushes/trees, dead rat lying next to trash can, no outdoor furniture for pool area, screens missing and torn up around hot tub enclosure, piles of old bottles and cans next to hot tub, cobwebs on lighting fixtures in kitchen over where your preparing food, hair found in kitchen cabinets, day bed was not sturdy, multiple lights not working, dishwasher not working properly (kept shutting off mid cycle).We enjoyed our time in Rodanthe but this home could use some TLC

Perfect for our family but the handle broke off the refrigerator and no one ever came to fix it. The lid to the washing machine is filthy, and you have to slam the clothes dryer door to get the dryer to start.

The house was outdated and had broken patio furniture. The screen on hot tub was broken and had been for some time. Missed match cushions were all over the pool area with no lounge chairs. We had to use the beach chair we brought with us. The stove light stayed on the whole time and the dishwasher did not work. Seems like if the owners would take a week or two of rental income and replace some of the broken and outdated items this place would have been much more enjoyable.

Mid-June 2024 visit

This house is in a much quieter location than Nags Head or Kitty Hawk, which appealed to our family. It is on a side street closest to Rt 12 so it was a long block's walk to the beach. However at this time there were no houses directly next to it on either side plus there were lovely views of the sound from the decks. The pool was a nice size and the cabana with the hot tub inside was a favorite hangout. We realize that the house is the "cheap seats" because of its distance from the beach. However the structure and fittings are not well maintained and the decor is from someone's great aunt in the 80's.

Garbage all over the property and stuffed piles of garbage by the hot tub. Broken outdoor furniture, broken dishwasher and metal shards everywhere from the torn screens everywhere. Cleaning crew were outside smoking when we arrived. They had no begun cleaning and we were not able to check in on time after a ten hour trip. This is a HUGE inconvenience. some of the furniture in the house was also old and broken and pulling apart. they literally left us with minimal toilet paper and we had to go buy some. This is offensive! There was literally piles of garbage in different spots. it was hard to get ahold of the management. No timely responses. this is a beautiful home and a beautiful location that is not maintained properly.

Cleaning between renters needs attention

The house smelled musty on arrival. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. The dishwasher and washer were full of gunk that needed cleaned out to get them to work properly. Windows are very hard to open to get it aired out. There was dog hair on carpet in living room. Dead bugs under downstairs bed. Food crumbs in kids bed downstairs. The fridge was dirty and smelled. The hot tub was empty. We filled it but couldn't get it to work. Overall the house is a little dated but room for everyone. Kids enjoyed the pool. lots of seating outside. If cleaning was done more thoroughly between renters it wouldn't have been too bad.

Great location but house dirt!

The house needed major attention from not just the management company, but also the owner. Just because you can rent a home in a resort area easily doesn’t mean you can not do needed maintenance and updating. The furniture was old and dirty, stained and smelly. This was a dog friendly home and we have a dog, but we are clean with ours and expect the same. This house had dog hair embedded into the rugs and furniture. The furniture was stained and not welcoming at all. The kitchen cabinets were dirty as well as the baseboards everywhere
 filth that hasn’t had attention. The ceiling fans had a build up of dirt on them and my husband cleaned the one in the master bedroom himself. Overall the house needs a major deep cleaning and updating/replacing of broken down dirty furniture. House smells musty and like dog. Also, a lower level window would not lock and we called about it right away and was told a maintenance tech would be there that evening. No one ever came or followed up. Housekeeping called the next morning but by that time we had already spent our time cleaning enough to make it livable, not enjoyable. Hopefully this house can get the needed attention it needs because it’s truly in a fabulous location.
