Ocean Annies Resort (formerly Sands Beach Club) has beautiful ocean front views and all of the essentials of a vacation getaway. This great 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo is located on the 3rd floor. Comfortably sleeps up to 4 people, with a queen size bed in the main bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, plus two full bathrooms. Main bedroom allows access to the ocean front balcony, too. The spacious, open floor plan combines a living room, dining area and dry bar, plus, well-stocked kitchen space, complete with a full-size refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, double sink, dishwasher, dishes and utensils. Of course, plenty of extra counter space includes the small appliances too, toaster, coffee maker, blender, etc.

When you stay at Ocean Annies Resort you'll be directly on the beach. take advantage of all the recreational activities, too. There's tennis, volleyball courts, fitness center and rental sports equipment is available to all guests, too. There are 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, and designated outdoor grill areas. There's afternoon LIVE music and dancing at Ocean Annies on-site tiki-bar and take-out grill, too. Additional amenities include: free Wi-Fi, concierge services, gift shop and a common area TV. Laundry service is available on the even numbered floors (above and below this unit). Free parking.

Ocean Annies is conveniently located within minutes, between Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach, both will WOW everyone in your group. Myrtle Beach has the Sky Wheel, a 200' high view of the coastline in a totally enclosed, air conditioned gondala. Stroll the renovated oceanfront boardwalk area, with gift shops, historic arcades & tourists attractions along the old original Pavilion area. Broadway at the Beach has over 30+ great restaurants, water park with go-cart track, and Pelicans baseball games.

Barefoot Landing is famous for golf but loaded with attractions & special nightly events along it's 27 acres of waterfront setting. The location was very clean. The AC went out on day #2 and Day #4 in the middle of the night. Bedroom tv was not working at all. Wiring for outlets seem to be crossed. Light switch would turn one of the 2 outlets on. Gorgeous view. Complete privacy.

The stay was great and a perfect location. I think this place could use a few touch ups. Also, very bare minimum of comfort items. Things that could be added would be basic pantry items such as salt and pepper, blow dryer and maybe a throw or a blanket other than the bedding.

We stayed for week for a quiet getaway to the beach. Unit was as stated. Check in was smooth. Management office nearby and ladies were a pleasure to work with. All amenities were available for use. Coin laundry on site. Garbage was encountered to your car. No problems of any kind. Highly recommend.

The place was spotless and the management office was so great to work with. My only wish would be for a ceiling fan in the master bedroom, but we knew there wasn't one, so we brought our own fan. (It's why we drive 11 hrs from NJ, I'm not a "light packer!). We would definitely stay in this unit again!

There were light switches with no covers. The plugs worked sometimes but not always, the TV froze and cut out quite frequently and the shower nozzle in the master bathroom you could hardly pull up.

Description not accurate

This property was gross. The floors look like there is black mold growning in the tile grout. No closet door in master. Tubs dont drain ao your standing in sandy dirty water, dishwasher leaks water all over the floor. All baseboards are gross, carpet was dusty.we paid alot of money to stay in flith. I wouldnt let me kids walk barefoot in the condo. There was supposed to be trash schutes, there is not. You have to bring all trash to the dumpster. The owner should be ashamed. We work hard for our money and could of stayed somewhere much nicer. We are extremly disappointed

Reviewer Comments: Seemed like an adversarial rental relationship.Charges for after hour calls, late return of booklet, failure to return parking pass.etc Remotes needed new batteries, tub did not drain, bathroom roof was leaking, key lock wouldn't work so had to use a very long factory code to get in. Arrived during the storm Idalia and was told if the balcony furniture was damage by the storm I was responsible so had to bring in very wet chairs.(Could of asked us if we would mind bring them in rather than threaten} TV cable wouldn't work for the first three days. Rose was very nice but it seemed like a lot of regulations and potential charges in the booklet we were given. Never stayed anywhere where one was required to take the booklet back to the rental company, usually it remains in the condo.

Thank you for providing feedback and we do apologize if your trip did not go smoothly. While most people like the "contactless" entry systems versus " old-fashion key" entry there is always a chance that a lock, code, batteries, or app technology could fail at the most inopportune times. The unknowns of the Sept. storm approaching meant that our office had to react in real-time to HOA notices received from 75+ occupied properties and guests were asked to help with the situation. We always offer to send our own crew if the balcony items are too heavy or bulky for the interior space, but we are always glad to receive guest's help in these situations. Thank you again for your help! Your other issues with remotes, batteries and tub drains were all promptly treated service calls. Guests are provided a check-in binder with all pertinent information about each property with keys, pool / parking passes, codes, passwords, etc but those items must be returned at check-out as they are redistributed weekly and HOA's charge owners for replacements. When we receive the items at check-out guests are "cleared" of responsibility and there is no confusion as to what was left inside the property. We feel this is a simple arrival / departure system and allows for face to face personal contact with every guests. We are a small, local property management company and prefer to offer a hands-on approach with our guests and owners.

Disappointed

Overall, I can’t complain about the room. It was very cleanly and roomy nice furniture as for the facility itself is very disgusting. First of all you have to carry all of your trash down through the hallways out through the elevator clear out through the parking lot just throw your stuff away there is not a trash shoot on every floor as it is indicated. On another note, this is a handicap facility building the bad part of it is is that you have to walk clear down to one end of the building which is fine that has a ramp so is handicap accessible onto the beach. The bad problem is is they set up there Beach, chairs and umbrellas starting at the point of that handicapped accessible ramp so therefore you have to wait till after 8 o’clock in the morning to go set up your chairs and they have to be behind their chairs like I indicated is right at the beginning of their handicapped assessable ramp so therefore you have to either sit clear in the back with your handicapped person or you have to push them clear down hundreds of feet to the other end of the beach just to have a spot to sit And yes, I did mention that you are not allowed to set up your chairs or umbrellas until after 8 AM because they have ordinance to their two buildings which also should be indicated in their description. Otherwise I would have never never rented this place that made it so hard on me to push my 160 pound brother around for a week on the sand because of thiss. Very rude!!

4th of July Vaca!

My family of 3 stayed at this property for the week of July 4th. It has a great location and is far from the main attractions which makes the beach more enjoyable and less crowded which is nice with a young child. The condo was clean and had all the cooking utensils that were needed. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely uncomfortable; it was hard and more of a full size than queen. The AC is set at 72 and does not keep the condo cool. This condo is on the end of the building with several windows facing the outside which is nice for natural lighting but not AC friendly. The balcony was closed for maintenance and was not something communicated on the posting or by the checkin agency. This is poor communication by the owners. We picked this specific location to be ocean front and we always utilize the balcony but obviously could not on this trip in turn making it a waste of money. No discount was given; this being closed or under maintenance is covered under fine print of they cannot control the maintenance on the condo. There is no clear directions on property on where to put your trash. We had to walk to the dumpster. A trash shoot did not exist on our floor. This condo is keyless but that was not communicated to us while I had to call the Oncall person from the agency who were not happy to get a call at 7pm. I would not recommend staying here until the owners make it very clear the balcony is open - pick a different l location to get more for your money.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. We are S.C. local residents and wanted to own ocean front properties so that we could easily make a weekend trip to be on the beach. It's been our happy place for many years. Nothing beats a glass of wine from the balcony or the fun and people watching of Ocean Annie's in the afternoons. Sands Beach Club is a Myrtle Beach landmark for 30 years now, everyone should make it part of their family traditions, too.
