When choosing the name of our new home, we reflected on what we hope our guests will feel while visiting. Peace, calm and serenity is what we trust you all find when visiting Soul Soother. The woods throughout the house as well as the natural and peaceful decor is meant to be comforting. The materials we chose in the build of the home were designed for sound dampening throughout the house to offer a quiet and relaxing environment. The two full length decks offer various seating arrangements to reconnect with nature while sometimes getting to enjoy the dolphins at play right off the shore. Just steps away from the calmest and cleanest beaches in America. Enjoy uncrowded shoreline for shell collecting, or sunset strolls. We hope that all leave here with serenity and a soothed soul.
Having lived in western NC all of our lives, we fell in love with Holden Beach on our first visit a decade ago. We bought our first house here, White Caps, and fell in love with creating a home away from home for our guests to enjoy. After sadly selling this home in 2021, we spent 3 years traveling the coast of NC, SC and GA to search for other beach towns to consider trying something new. We realized Holden Beach was the one for us. Soul Soother was conceived and construction started throughout 2023 and 2024 and here we are. We hope all of our guests find this an oasis of calm and peace to enjoy family and friends!
While we loved our time in the 900 block of OBW, we wanted something a little closer to the mainland. At 191 we've found the perfect compromise of being walking distance to the island restaurants and the concerts under the bridge while maintaining the quiet, uncrowded beach activity.
While we loved the charm and comfort of White Caps, we're very excited to offer a newly constructed home. It allowed us to use modern building techniques to create a calm, peaceful environment for togetherness along with quiet, private spaces. We are hoping to add an in-ground pool in 2026!
