While this house is âpet friendlyâ, all pets must be disclosed when booking and a non-refundable pet fee must be paid. Maximum 2 mid-size dogs per rental group (any others must be approved by host in advance). Guests agree to take full financial responsibility should there be any damage or additional cleaning required due to pets presence.
There is parking for 3 - 4 vehicles on the driveway and no spillover for additional cars. Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance).
No outdoor fires or charcoal bbqâs allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).
Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.
Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked, and bear fence system activated) whenever not present in the home.
The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 6 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. Youâll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).
There are a few steps that lead from the parking pad to the front entry door. During winter storms, the entry area can pile with snow and will need to be shoveled in order to be maintained. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), the entry area may need to be shoveled. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we recommend that you travel with a shovel during winter conditions.
WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.
ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, thereâs always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.
