Loved the location! It was close to everything we wanted to do. It was a cute little cottage and the host was very excellent at communicating and responding super fast to any questions I had. One thing that we didnât like was the shower curtain only went to a certain point and you canât pull it closed anymore so it was still cold when you showered. Other then that we had a great stay!
Place was lovely. Property owner was great with options of not only things to see and ease of getting around. She also kept in contact to be able to store our luggage or check in early.
Perfect place to stay.
This was our 2nd time to stay in this Marblehead Charmer. It is a short drive to Boston and the attractions there. But it is also such a beautiful town in itself. So much history all around. The home is cozy and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. (Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenage boys.)
Can't wait to return.
We had a lovely time at Sugarâs charming and cozy cottage! The home has everything you need for an enjoyable stay with plenty of room. The location is perfect for wandering Marblehead or exploring surrounding areas like Salem & Boston. Wish we had more time there and will definitely choose to stay here again.
Trip planned was to visit Salem over Halloween. Sugarâs home was perfect! We were able to easily make it to Salem each day and had time to stop by the nearby beach and also a couple places in Marblehead for breakfast and ice cream. Such a quaint little town and everyone that we met in Marblehead was so friendly and helpful. Sugar provided helpful tips and information on things to do in the area. Her home was so cozy and comfortable for our stay. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area!
Just spent a few days with my family in this wonderful cottage in Marblehead. The place had everything you need to settle in and relax with loads of really thoughtful touches by the host. Itâs in a really nice neighbourhood with most of historic Marblehead within walking distance including coffee spots and take away if you want. I would highly recommend as a base to explore the greater Massachusetts area and all the wonderful things it has to offer.
What a wonderful time we had! This cottage is exactly as advertised. Communication with Sugar is fast, easy and very helpful. We visited during an extremely busy time for the area and Sugar's suggestions were invaluable.
We went to visit Salem, but ended up falling in love with Marblehead, it truly is magical!
If/when we visit the area again, I will look here first!
The communication from the property owner was prompt, professional, and polite. Any question our group had was quickly answered.
The place was very clean on arrival, with snacks on the counter and a fully stocked coffee station (Very Important after a long day of traveling!).
There were plenty of ride sharing drivers / shuttles in the area to make travel without a rental vehicle very easy. And there are plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance of the cottage.
If we travel up to that area again, I'll be sure to check if this place is available to stay.
Sugarâs cottage was exactly what we were looking for. The space has everything you want and need. The location was perfect for us to visit Salem and the Boston area. Marblehead is a beautiful little town to explore around also! And the cottage is a short walk to shops and the waterfront. Sugar was amazing to communicate with and super accommodating.
Sugar was very accommodating. The house way more than expected. It was like staying at a home away from home! Very comfortable stay with a warm aspect to it.
We really enjoyed our stay in Marblehead. The house was charming, clean, and close to everything as our family loves walking.
The only reason I am not giving a 5 is because when we arrived there was no hot water. Turns out the hot water heater had to be replaced. We had no hot water for 2 days. The owner was very helpful and clearly felt bad but the heater was very old and with routine maintenance a new one should have been installed electively.
Other than that we were very comfortable and I would recommend the property. Thank you Sugar.
What a great location. The property is absolutely charming. Everything you need at your fingertips. We drove up the coast to Rockport for a beautiful sightseeing tour. And we drove in to Boston for a day of adventure. We also just stayed in Marblehead and enjoyed walking around the picturesque town.
We will definitely be back.
Loved this property so cute and it had everything and more that we needed. Sugar answered any questions we had and was so quick in doing so. Would definitely stay again!!
I stayed with my four adult children but it wouldâve been a great place to stay with grand children also. Easy walking around the town and the owner is easy to reach and very receptive to any questions and could not have been nicer!
Everything was wonderful. Sugar is a great host, accommodating and super easy to deal with. The cottage is located in a quiet street in close walking distance to many restaurants in downtown Marblehead.
Vintage cottage nestled in historic district. Close (walking distance) to all shops, restaunts and taverns. Fun pubs with a wide variety of food selections. Sugar is your host and she is very friendly and accommodating. Responds within minutes. Home has 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms which was nice for 4 adults. Stocked with anything you need and then more.
Highly suggested for a quiet New England get away, and a few quick trips to Salem and Boston for site seeing.
I live in Florida most of the year but since I have family in nearby Swampscott, I had to find my own place near enough to see them and full of things to do. Marblehead is just fantastic!
I wanted to buy this property a year before it went on the market! Its got all it's old 1920 charm (some uneven floors, small doorways, etc) and I've modernized it for comfort and equipped it with many fun vacay amenities.... beach toys, waffle maker, blender... but it's still a work in progress, so please leave me suggestions!
2 parking spots although in the warmer months, when street parking is allowed, Prospect St provides much easier access, closer and no stairs, than the parking lot. there's plenty to do and see nearby so you can walk to most of the "in-town" attractions, restaurants, boutiques, Marina and beach!
