Enjoyed our stay in Natchez. Cottage was a couple of blocks from Bluff Park which is nice to walk and seems to be the hub of activity. Cottage is also located near downtown shops and restaurants. The only issue is the loud street noise.
The perfect place to stay in Natchez! Great location. I was in town for a convention. This adorable place was within walking distance to the convention center , great restaurants, across from the river walk and the Rosalie house. Be sure to check out the Canal St. Market next door and the striding Post across the street. The courtyard at Isabella house was such a relaxing place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and coffee in the morning. You will not be disappointed.
Les points faibles : Communication, emplacement, exactitude de lâannonce
While the house is sweet and the house itself very clean, the porch had patio furniture very mildewed. The house is right off Canal street, it is not quiet and peaceful, there is a lot of traffic noise from the road. While the house is advertised as a two bedroom, thatâs a stretch. One of the beds is a fold down in the living room. Itâs really only a one bedroom. Also be aware while it does have 2 Roku TVâs, owners donât allow you to sign into your own Netflix, Prime, channels. We have stayed at many VRBO properties and this is the first time this has happened.
This cottage is charming and comfortable. It is plenty big enough for our little (3) family. We love that it is in town and within walking distance to many of the places that caught our interest. The tv was easy to figure out--big plus. The beds are super comfy. Overall, it was a great experience and we are all impressed with the accommodations.
We loved our stay! It was perfect for our wants and needs and we enjoyed it so much. We loved the historical and personal touches the house had and the outdoor space is great! However, this house would not work for someone who may have mobility issues. The tub is not easy to get in and out of and it is your only option. The host was very nice and communicative and allowed to us have a sort of last minute late check out. Lots of essentials were provided, such as soaps, shampoo & conditioner, and even little things like bug spray outside. All in all, it was a great experience!
Such a cute little place. The decor was so cute. Loved the fenced in backyard. Its right off of Canal so the traffic was a little noisy but it wasn't a bother at all for us.
Our weekend stay at Isabella House was perfect! It was step back in time with modern amenities. The house is located within easy walking distance of downtown. Our host, Jackie was so hospitable and fantastic with communication. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Property was in the heart of the city in walking distance to most everything. Property was well maintained and had everything we needed on our stay. Also the biggest thing to me was the communication. The owner was very quick to respond to all messages and made us feel at home.Would recommend to anyone who visits this area.
We liked it all. The little 1885 house was precious, furnished with appropriate period antiques. The back yard area was wonderful. It was such a pleasure to sit out on the large back porch and drink coffee in the morning. The house is the perfect location being within walking distance from several historic sites in Natchez, including being right across the street from historic 1820 Rosalie. Everything we needed for a pleasant stay was provided.
This adorable cottage was perfect for our stay during the Pilgrimage tour. The beds were very comfortable (one is a Murphy bed) and we enjoyed the back porch.
We particularly enjoyed the big fenced in back yard and relaxing porch because we were traveling with our dog. He was endlessly occupied watching all the birds, squirrels and neighbor cat. That gave us lots of time to enjoy the beginnings of Spring. It is an easy walk to downtown and very close access to the River. The little market next door had lovely provisions. We are grateful for all that Jackie and Luc provided.
Jackie is great to work with! And if I could pick the house up and put it down out in the country side, it would basically be my dream cottage! The only hiccups involved the older but very cute cooking stove that has faded knobs that made it tricky to use at first, and one of the burners only seemed to run on hi? The street noise is a definite factor at night but I was forewarned. And they provide earplugs and sound machines. Itâs nice that itâs so walkable from the cottage as well. And the claw foot tub is super dreamy!
Our first ever trip to the Bluff City was a wonderful experience, in large part due to our excellent accommodation in this lovely 19th century cottage. We spent a three-day weekend and everything exceeded our expectations! The rooms were luxuriously appointed and cozy. The noise from Canal Street was definitely noticeable but not intrusive, and the back porch and courtyard were comfortable and inviting (it helped that we lucked into ideal weather conditions - low 70s during the day and low 50s at night with low humidity).
We heartily recommend the Isabella House for anyone looking for a comfortable place with a touch of the Old South, but with modern conveniences and a great location.
We enjoyed a lovely long weekend in Natchez. The Isabella Cottage was the perfect location. We enjoyed walking around town and had everything we needed. Some other guests mentioned in past reviews that the road noise bothered them, but we had no trouble sleeping!
We really enjoyed our stay at Isabella House for the balloon races. Nice place with everything that we needed. Really comfortable. It was larger than I expected. Loved the nice back yard and porch. I would say to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There is some road noise because you are in the middle of all the action. But that is exactly what we were looking for. We parked the truck and walked everywhere all weekend. Everywhere we wanted to go was within a mile of the house. Really nice for busier weekends in Natchez when parking can be limited. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely stay here again.
We spent four nights here and enjoyed every minute. The house was immaculately clean, had everything we needed and was filled with thoughtful touches. The back porch was a great place to enjoy morning coffee or an evening beverage.
This home is exactly as in the listing. It is very convenient to all of the historical attractions. It is on a busy street, but the back porch is nice and peaceful.

You will feel right at home at this special, vintage property which has every convenience for a care-free stay in our beautiful little city. Communication is very easy and access is so convenient. You'll fall in love with Isabella House!
Listed on the Register of Historic Properties, this house was almost lost to demolition in the late 1990s. It is one of the only ones remaining along this stretch of Canal Street. It welcomes you to see it now!
