Une autre bonne raison de rĂ©server One Tar Bay ** Vous adorerez One Tar Bay en raison de la vue sur l'eau bleue cristalline de la maison principale et de la piscine Ă  dĂ©bordement. Ça ne devient jamais ennuyeux! La maison est Ă  quelques minutes de l'aĂ©roport afin que vous puissiez maximiser votre temps pour arriver ici et elle est sur la route principale, ce qui la rend pratique pour toutes les activitĂ©s de l'Ăźle. Dans le mĂȘme temps, il dispose d'un jardin luxuriant privĂ© et se trouve Ă  quelques pas de l'eau. Les vues depuis le pont sont Ă  mourir de jour comme de nuit. C'est bon pour les familles et les amis.

This is a great property located centrally on the island making all the amenities very close. The property itself is gorgeous with unbelievable views, great decks and lovely pool. The beach access is right there. The owners are very gracious and will do everything they can to improve and support your stay. We were there for 12 days and there wasn't a single day where we weren't doing something really fun. The house has lots of beach accessories so you don't need to bring any. Exuma is beautiful and this is a great place to experience it.

Great place for a large group.

Kitchen is very well equipped with a good layout. Very easy access to the beach and the Infiniti saltwater pool was awesome. Easy access to everything. Cleo, the property manager was very accommodating. Very roomy and spacious for big parties. Great place to create beautiful memories.

Amazing location!

We had a wonderful time. The views are spectacular and having our own private beach was a highlight. The house was perfect for the nine of us. Overall, a perfect location if you want a relaxing vacation. We also enjoyed heading to Tim’s for lunch and also just hanging out at the pool with a “few” beverages!

Family vacation

Our extended family of 9 had a wonderful time at One tar bay. The location and views are best. Plenty of room for everyone. The owners were such a big help with finding activities with last minute cancellations. The pool/beach/deck area was terrific especially for those who needed shade. Great vacation.

Great property

The house was perfect for our family. The downstairs apartment gave our twenty-somethings space to themselves and somewhere to stay up late without bothering the rest of us. Everyone having their own bathrooms was FANTASTIC! The views were beautiful and the pool and beach access made it the absolute perfect vacation home!

Gorgeous views, great for families

The views from the house are amazing. Owner was very attentive throughout the booking and during our stay (although we didn't need anything during our stay). House is perfect for families, beach access, pool, plenty of toys, games, equipment, etc. We loved it, traveled with party of 8 including 3 teens.

Amazing week in paradise!

Exuma is breathtaking, and we loved being able to call this space home for the week! Great location, amazing views, and all the amenities we needed. Owners were very responsive to questions leading up to the trip and even allowed us to change our rental dates when plans changed. Cleo, the property manager, was also great and so helpful with local recommendations during our trip. Great place to stay!!

Beautiful house, great location

Just got back from a week at One Tar Bay. Was there with 8 other adults. The place is amazing. Everything needed is there. There is a long stretch of beautiful beach where you can walk to Tim's on the water for drinks and food. If you're into exploring, it's also a great location to go to other beaches, which are all incredible, and a short ride to town, groceries and the airport. If you just want to relax you have the deck and pool right there along the ocean. The owners are very thoughtful and had the property manager greet us and make sure we had everything we needed. They provided a fantastic detailed guide of what to do, where to go, what to bring, etc. which was very helpful. Overall, an amazing place to stay and island to visit.

Family vacation

Excellent property Due to storms/flooding prior to arrival it damaged beach area in front of house/property. Overall great place to stay. Was a nice and relaxing vacation. On site property manager was very helpful in organizing activities. She also cooked a dinner which was fantastic. Would recommend staying here.

Wonderful week!

We had a wonderful week in this property, it was perfect for our two families. The kids enjoyed the pool and we walked the basically empty beach daily. Cleo was very helpful at check-in and responsive to any needs. The owners were even kind enough to give us duct tape when needed! The location is central to both sides of the island and we were able to explore it all. Perfect views and a beautiful home!

Amazing Home and Hosts

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful property. From our first contact at booking to our check-out, Mark, Mary and Cleo were wonderful. We can’t recommend this property highly enough. The location is perfect, the indoor and outdoor spaces great for a group, the kitchen well stocked and everything is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Mark and Mary are a great resource for things to do and see on the island. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Great week at One Tar Bay

8 of us stayed here for a week in March to celebrate a 50th birthday. It was fantastic. We were grateful to have the pool because the ocean was very rough and hard to swim in. Mary was extremely responsive to our questions and requests and Cleo was very helpful. The house had everything we needed and was just as expected.

Situated right on the water, the views are to die for and the house is located next to one of the best beaches on Great Exuma. The house comfortably fit our group of seven and was located within 10 to 15 minutes drive of shops, restaurants and grocery stores. It is also handy to the airport and some of the better beaches on the island. Would recommend for large groups, as there is a two bedroom apartment on the lower level as well.

Exuma Stay

We couldn’t have asked for a better home for our first trip to Exuma! Everything listed is accurate. The home is clean, perfect location. That view! Doesn’t get better. Cleo is fantastic. Infinity Pool, Location, and great spot for a friends vacation

Accommodating hosts that sent great recommendations before our trip, grocery shopped before we arrived, and were flexible with our dates and check-out time. We loved all that the house had to offer- beach chairs, coolers, snorkeling gear, etc. The pool and deck layout can’t be beat. We explored the whole island and loved being centrally located- don’t miss Shoreline, Hooper’s Beach, Cocoplum beach and bistro, pig/iguana tour, Tropics of Cancer beach and Santanas. Gotta recommend Shirley’s and karoake on Friday night at Mark’s. Our boat rental fell through and Graeme helped us easily secure an amazing boat for our group of 10. We loved the separate bedrooms and bathrooms and many outdoor spaces to enjoy the sun and stars for our group of 3 families.

Wonderful escape!

We had a wonderful stay at One Tar Bay. Mary and Cleo were wonderful hosts. We arrived early and were able to arrange a drop off of our luggage before the scheduled check in. Everything was set up as requested and Mary was very transparent that the internet was out due to a down pole the night prior and that they were fixing it (it came back on a few days later in spite of the weekend). Plenty of space, all the utensils and kitchen items. Pool toys and beach towels. Lots of great books and games (we gifted our puzzle that we brought along). We look forward to coming back in the future! Thank you for a fabulous escape in the Exumas!

Great Spot

Beautiful home, incredibly clean and well stocked. Monica (property manager) is easily the most organized, professional and responsive we've ever encountered. Loved the location of this house - not far from the airport or groceries/liquor, but far enough away from everything to feel remote. The beach/water access isn't great, given the proximity of the water during all but low tide, but the elevation and deck make up for it as a great place to sit, listen to the waves, watch the shooting stars and admire the beautiful water, all with a nice breeze. There are plenty of beach access spots in either direction as well. The house is large; we were a total of five and had more than enough room to spread out. Kitchen is well stocked and well organized, and we especially enjoyed the lobster available at the nearby Prime Island Deli and Meats. Both it and Smitty's (both about 7 or 8 minutes away) are great, with good variety and reasonable (relative) prices. In summary would highly recommend the house as a great place to stay on the island.

Warning...

Stayed at Tarbay with my wife and three daughters.We had emailed Monica,the property Manager,the week before arriving to arrange groceries to be picked up.We were traveling on Sunday,and Monday was a Holiday on the island so the stores would be closed.Monica was kind enough to respond back quickly and confirmed our list was received and she would handle it.Upon our arrival to the house we found the groceries were left on the counter over night and there was chicken and ground beef juice all over the counter.Needless to say not a great start to our vacation.Tuesday morning while getting ready to head out to find another beach we notice rat feces in the pantry closet off the kitchen and a rat trap in the upstairs closet in master bathroom closet.Slightly concern that there might be a rodent problem in the house we contact Monica to advise her and were told that "it is summer time so the wildlife is active",but she would ask Clio to stop on her way home and clean the pantry out, which she did.When we arrived home after being at the beach all day preparing dinner and relaxing on the back deck,my daughter came outside and informed me that the toilets downstairs were not flushing.No worries I thought, boy was I wrong.Not only did the toilets not flush,but the showers down stairs,which no one used yet,were starting to back up and the water was now starting to over flow into one of the bedrooms off the kitchen.We proceeded to empty the room of luggage and clothes,which were now wet,and lay towels across the door entry to see if we could prevent the water from going into the kitchen and living room area.I texted Monica and she responded with, "we are living in a third world country where problems like this do happen", and "we could not find a plumber in New York at 11pm at night and that is a City known for the City that never sleeps".Well it wasn't 11pm when I texted first of all and second, we just wanted some direction on what to do so the house wouldn't get flooded.With that said,she was able to get a hold of a plumber and he did in fact come over that night but he could really do anything but said he would be back in the morning.He shows up in the morning,but no Monica? At first he seemed puzzled,but told me he found the issue,the septic tank was full.He would arrange for pump out and call Monica to have the downstairs cleaned.Once these issues were resolved, we had a lovely stay, but couldn't recommend Tarbay based on the way this was handled.

We would describe ourselves as adventure travelers. Mark and I traveled to some of the most beautiful places on earth and stayed in the top hotels. We recently found paradise in Exuma. We spend a lot of time here. We would love to share this beautiful place with you and as a semi permanent resident I know all the great places to go and things to do. We have decorated our island home with art and items from the island and it is a natural home for your to enjoy. I love nature, art in all forms, yoga and people. My style of traveling is to get to know what the locals do and we have become familiar with everything that Exuma has to offer. My style of hosting is to share all my fabulous tips and experiences with my guests. I am very proud of my ability to connect with people and nature. I am a great hostess because I love life to the fullest.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We first came upon Tarbay and the Exumas on a trip from Miami in October 2013. Like many we were unfamiliar with the Exumas but were looking for a golf holiday. We saw what intrigued us: beautiful and empty white sandy beaches with the most beautiful clear blue waters we have ever seen. One evening we watch as the orange moon rose up out of the ocean into the sky. The next night we saw a rainbow that ran from one end of the sky to the other. The physical beauty of the Island overwhelmed us.

Our goal was to make One Tar Bay into a beach house we always dreamt of. We hope you will love it as much as we do. We have added local and personal touches to help you to see the beauty of the island in all its glory. Our house has the best location on the island and we are happy to share it.
