The Terrace Lodge at Toby Woods is a spacious and comfortable 1100 sq ft, 2-bedroom apartment with attached private indoor pool, wood-burner, fully equipped kitchen, bath with single Jacuzzi tub, two large forest-view decksâall nestled at the end of a quiet, no-outlet street just œ mile from downtown Clarion and 2 miles from I-80 exit 62. Enjoy luxury bedding, 75â Roku TV, fast Wi-Fi, convenient side & rear private entrances. Includes a 1-king bedroom with TV, a 2-twin bedroom with TV, queen sofa-bed, smoke/CO detectors in every living space, and a dog-friendly option.
One thing to know before booking: The apartment is located down a flight of stairs. The 3-level house is built on a hill. The apartment is the first level. Street level is actually the 2nd level.
The space:
The apartment is modern and also rustic, quiet, cozy, livable... much more than just a place to stay. The decor is unique: some brick floors, large brick fireplace with wood burner (free wood provided), brand new fully equipped kitchen, all rooms remodeled, lots of closet and cabinet space, comfortable beds, jetted (single) Jacuzzi tub, and the two huge decks overlooking the woods and valley. Watch the squirrels play and birds fly over, and keep an eye out for the deer that occasionally saunter by and munch on the flowers. The location is in Clarion Borough, but it's in a secluded quiet neighborhood at the end of a no-outlet street. We have woods on two sides of the house. The location is off the beaten path but also close to everything!
The indoor pool is heated, 4 feet deep, and about 83-84 degrees. It's not the largest pool (about 6.000 gallons) but you can still swim short laps and it's plenty to keep the kids entertained. The pool house is stocked with inflatables, water volleyball, and floating corn hole.
The apartment itself has lots to do with dozens of board games, puzzles, a dart board, chess, connect four, air hockey and ping pong table, and some books and magazines for your enjoyment.
One bedroom has a desk and chair if you're here for work. Free hi-speed wi-fi is provided so those online meetings won't glitch.
All 3 TVs are smart TV's, you can sign in to your own streaming services or just watch one of the apps we already have loaded.
Accessibility: Please note that access to the apartment is only available via an exterior flight of stairs down to the deck. The 3-floor chalet style house is built on a steep hill overlooking a forest valley and the apartment is the first level. We are happy to help carry luggage, just give one of us a shout.
Guest access
Guests have full private access to the lower level of the house and indoor pool. The only shared space is the laundry room which is in a separate locked area on the 1st level. The apartment decks and pool are for guest use only. Access to the apartment is through the sliding glass door on the lower deck. A concrete sidewalk, side deck, and exterior stairs on the east side of the house lead down to the space, which faces north. A secondary entrance/exit is located off the kitchen on the west side of the house. This door leads to a separate secondary set of stairs up to the parking area, and also leads to the pool. The pool can also be accessed off the upper deck area.
Other things to note
The apartment has one king bed, two twin beds, and a sleeper sofa bed.
The driveway can be a little hard to see at night, it is a semi-circle and a slightly below the road level. Please let us know if you have more than one car, we generally cannot fit more than two. Pickups towing short trailers might fit but not please ask first. There is a âTerrace Lodgeâ sign next to the sidewalk that leads to the deck and stairs down to rear of the house and the apartment. An electronic keypad is on the wall next to the sliding glass door, and a unique 4 to 6 digit code is provided for each stay You have the option of self check-in, or we'd be happy to show you around and get you settled in.
Pets: we have 2 small older pups and my daughter has one, so we are a dog friendly family. If you are traveling with your dog let us know and we'll go over the details. We ask that you keep your dog leashed and please do not leave your dog unattended. It's a scary world out there for pups in unfamiliar surroundings. If your dog is the friendly low-energy sort, we may be able to dog-sit.
Long-term stays of 30 days or more - a signed lease is required.
Please note that we are allergic to cats so unfortunately we can't accommodate them - wish we could!

Hi! My wife Julie and I have worked in hospitality for 40 years. I now work in development for a worldwide hotel company. Julie and I decided to make good use of our extra space by turning the first level of our 3 story house into a short term rental apartment. We live in the upper 2 floors. Iâm lucky enough to be able to work from home and my wife is semi-retired so we are always available for our guests. We truly hope you enjoy your stay!
Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
The house is in a quiet mature neighborhood at the and of a tree-lined street. With forest on two sides and a view overlooking the forest valley, the location is different than most. We are the opposite of a downtown city-like hustle and bustle setting, but we are still only 1/2 mile from Main Street, 1 mile from PennWest Clarion campus, and 2.5 miles from I-80.
Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
The apartment comes with exclusive access to an indoor heated pool. Two scenic decks are attached as well so there is a lot of space to hang out outside. Indoors, the apartment is a blend of rustic and modern and has a large 13'x30' family room. The kitchen is newly remodeled and includes everything needed for long or short-term stays. Guest comments and reviews follow some common themes: the apartment is a great place for a getaway, the bedding is super comfortable, the place is clean and livable enough to stay in permanently, the forest views are fantastic, and the pool is icing on the cake.
