THE GRAPE ESCAPE is a cozy & peaceful one room cabin overlooking Keuka Lake. Conveniently located 1/2 mile up the hill from Hammondsport. Located on Finger Lakes Wine Trail / Brew Trail. Private outhouse (composting toilet) and outdoor private shower. Clean and setup for couples. OFF THE GRID Glamping at it's finest! NO Electricity or running water, however we have unique options to accommodate a comfortable stay. Please Note: NO LINENS / PILLOWS / TOWELS are provided.

Cozy Cabin With an Amazing View

Perfect little cabin close to hiking, restaurants, and shops. Dave was super responsive and helpful. The view of the lake was beautiful and incredible to wake up to every morning.

Christmas getaway cabin weekend

My girlfriend and I had a great glamping experience hosted by Dave and his wife. Not only was Dave incredibly attentive during our stay but also gave us recommendations on where to explore around the town and hikes near by. The cabin was equipped with cooking material and wood for the fire (which we really enioyed). For anyone looking for sometime to disconnect and enjoy with a loved one - We recommend this cabin for you!

Incredible view, especially in Fall

Beautiful view. Hard to overstate how gorgeous it is. Host provides a lot of helpful mod-cons that we didn't expect. Only major issue is ticks! If you bring a pet, do not let it stray from stone driveways and make sure it's up to date on preventive meds. Our (always leashed) dog must have brushed some high grass on walking trails on property and had more ticks on her than I have ever seen at once.

Winery heaven

This is a great off the grid place to stay! If you want running water and electricity this isn’t the place for you. If you want an amazing view, location to all the wineries & town, a cozy cabin with a fire pit and great hosts! This is for you! Also if you want to disconnect at night and talk with your person enjoy a fire and wine this is your place! We will be back!

Love it!!

This is our fourth year staying on Dave’s property. He is a wonderful host. He keeps his places clean and well stocked. The view from the grape escape is amazing!! Can’t wait to go back!

Quiet, pleasant, and relaxing.

Dave and his wife are amazing hosts. They maintain the property and pay specific attention to details for an authentic experience for the guests. We spent a couple of wonderful days at this place. Dave is very responsive and helpful. We will be back again. Thank you.

Eclipse Getaway

The stay was wonderful! An extremely beautiful view, clean and serene space, and everything was provided for. Dave and his family were wonderful, and helped provide everything we could need. Even getting us out of the mud on the first night. Close to some of the best wineries and eats in the area, and a short drive to some very visually stunning parks beyond the lake itself. Their dog, Willy was an extra, added friend to us, and made our trip even more special. - Pete

Incredible stay

Dave was an excellent communicator and host. The cabin was stocked with everything we could have needed and the grounds were not just beautiful, but functional and really well maintained. We had colder, wetter weather than we hoped but the cabin stayed dry and toasty warm throughout the night. We felt so safe, comfortable and relaxed the entire time. We will be back!!

Clean cabin perfect for weekend stay

Wonderful stay in this little cabin! Perfect for those who love the outdoors. It had all the amenities to make it comfortable, yet still give you a camping experience. Very clean, and we had an amazing weekend.

Best Hosts Ever

Dave and JoAnn were excellent hosts, and were very responsive and helpful! The cabin is in a great location close to town, yet quiet and private. They even left some fancy treats for our doggy, which was such a sweet gesture. We’d definitely stay here again.

The Grape Escape V2

We had a beautiful, enjoyable and pleasant stay. There were fresh cut flowers in the cabin and everything else we needed. You are close to Hammondsport, all the wineries, and restaurants. It's a little being off the grid with 5G everywhere, so bring a power bank. You patiently make hot water for your needs and if you need to blow-dry your hair this may not be a good fit. If you love having the sounds and sights of nature all around, a little wine and dinner by camp fire - this place has loads of charm with a spectacular view. In town, we met many fellow dog lovers, namely pugs and their variants ; ). Our fawn pug Dixie Doodles loves it so much we have to pry her off the porch to go home. Dave & Joann are wonderful hosts and we look forward to a return stay!

Grape Escape

The stay was just as expected, a small clean cabin that provided many small conveniences that made the "camping" experience easier. The view was gorgeous and we saw a ton of local wildlife including foxes, rabbits, deer, and others. I highly recommend the stay for a single adult or couple looking to unplug and unwind.

This cabin is the perfect way to get away while still being really close to everything. Its just a few miles outside of the village of Hammondsport and you can see the owners home so you know you are not completely remote but it feels very secluded. The site has many nice touches including chair cushions for the outdoor chairs that are stored inside, great porch rockers, plenty of firewood, a single burner stove to heat water for coffee which is included, and plenty of clean fresh water for drinking. There is an outdoor shower and while we were boiling water to make the shower warm enough, the host showed up with 6 gallons of hot water from his home. It was beyond amazing. This was such a fun place to stay. Highly recommend!

My wife, JoAnn and I grew up in this area. We recently moved back and built a new home on this 8 acre property. Keuka Lake has many memories for our 4 grown children. They do not live near, but come back to vacation here every year. Our hope is that you will enjoy this beautiful land as much as they do.

We nestled the cabin in the woods for complete privacy. It is NOT located on a heavily trafficked road. Bully Hill Winery is one mile up the road. They offer wine tasting and have a lovely restaurant overlooking the lake. Nature surrounds this little cabin with bird song and lake view.
