Lots of room for the whole family

We have been staying here priviosly. The area is quiet. Really friendly neighborhood. Fantastic private beach just a very short walk down from the house. You can sit on the front porch and see long island sound. I can recommend this property & the owners.

Old beach house

Make no mistake, this is an old house with all old house quirkiness. If you're looking for a luxury beach front house, this isn't it. That said, we had a good time and liked the area. I found it odd that the beds weren't made when we arrived and the owners had a departure checklist which included stripping the beds, taking out the trash and washing the dishes...thought that should be part of the services they provide and that's unique amongst houses we have rented in the past.

We're sorry you didn't find our home a 5 out of 5 but are happy you had a good time. Regarding the beds, we've asked and reviewed quite a number of sources and found that this is the one way all our guests can be sure they have a clean set of sheets for their stay. Being primarily a Summer beach house and especially as a beach house, we ask that guests leave our home broom clean as new guests are often only a few hours behind departing guests which leaves little time for cleaning. Again, we are happy you had a good time and hope that if you're ever in the area again you'll want to stay at our home.

Perfect Group House!

This is an amazing old/new, compact/expansive, charming, well thought out house! Perfect for our Thanksgiving week family gathering , and while it's a great summer place, one block from the beach, we're impressed with how well insulated and warm it is during cold temps. Beautifully finished and comfortable (quiet work space up and getaway teen space down), we'd stay here again, at any time of year, and recommend it highly.

Lovely vintage home with modern amenities

Plenty of space and and updated bathrooms. Cool breezes from the ocean with a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped…you could cook Thanksgiving dinner! Paul was available for any questions. A great stay!

Absolutely perfect vacation spot for families!

Our family travels a lot. On this trip, we had three adults and six kids, ages 2 to 10. Out of all of our trips, this was absolutely the best family house we’ve ever stayed in. The property owners are so kind and have set visiting families up for success! Not only did they have games, DVDs, and a floor plan that was perfection the beach was only steps away from the door. It’s not often you get to a VRBO, and they have the basic essentials such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, and, most importantly, coffee filters! We made sure to contribute back to the supply so that the next family would be set up for success. I could go on and on about what an amazing family vacation we had thanks to the property owners and their beautiful home! Don’t miss out on an opportunity to truly kick back and relax.

Had Everything We Needed; Couldn't Be Happier

We had such a wonderful time staying in Paul and Isabella's home. Part of our stay was "vacation" and part of the time we were working remotely. There was a small bedroom / office on the main floor with a desk where I worked, and a desk in the master bedroom, where my wife worked. The kids had tons to do while we worked: the basement was a fun play room, with games and a beautiful foosball table which the kids loved. They would also walk one block to the beach, or a couple blocks in a different direction to a basketball court. The house had tons of space and still felt very cozy and warm with a lot of charm all over the place. The kitchen was fully stocked and cooking was easy. Simply put: we felt like we were at home. We were a very short car ride to downtown Milford with many great restaurants. Paul and Isabella were easy to communicate with and responded to any questions immediately. We hope to stay there again.

Family getaway

The house was perfect for our group of 5 adults who didn't want to share a room! Plenty of common space to make everyone comfortable and the outdoor shower was a huge hit!

1st Vacation in 12 years, wonderful!

We had a great stay! Two adults in their 70's one in their 50's & kids from 7-17 yrs. House was clean, had everything we needed (towels, glasses, plate, pans, etc.) lots of space. Walk to the private beach (which was often empty) a bit farther than expected by photos (about 10 houses away) for the older family members, but the kids were close & safe enough to use the facilities throughout the day. Talking to the property manager was quick & easy when a question came up. Grocery Delivery was a great help with COVID still being a concern, along with delivery food "take out." Wonderful trip!

Highly recommended!

A wonderful house and neighbors are very friendly! Kitchen is fully equipped and plenty of room in the dining room and living room for everyone. Comfortable chairs to sit and read. Master bedroom is large and even has a couch. Basement has a set of bunk beds and a couch with large TV and foosball table. Beach is just at the end of the block. House was very clean and Paul and Isabella were great hosts and responsive!

Thankful, quaint and just right

My husband and I found this property at the last minute because we were unable to take our boys on our annual vacation due to the pandemic. The owner responded immediately and confirmed the availability, and it was only available because of a last minute cancellation. The house has a lot of character and charm. It was clean, spacious and inviting. We settled in instantly. We loved the TV in the kitchen and the various spaces to choose from to relax, read or work. We also enjoyed grilling and eating dinner outside. The wi-fi worked phenomenally. We loved the beach. The private beach allows for social distancing. It was completely safe. We will for sure return.

The yard stretches behind the house, plenty big for croquet. Games, beach toys are plentiful, barbecue and big patio with picnic table - lounge chairs too! A great place for family holiday.

Lovely beach home perfect for family gatherings. Lots of space, well-equipped, private beach!

Our family met up for the holidays at this beautifully updated old home and enjoyed the space and daily walks on the private beach. On arrival we were welcomed by lighted garlands on the porches; even the interior had been tastefully decked out for the holidays, down to stockings hung on the hearth! Lots of bed options, dining seating, and 2.5 bathrooms include jacuzzi tub. Helpful hosts responded quickly to all questions.

Cozy, spacious house the whole family loved

This house is amazing: It's open and spacious, but has plenty of spots for someone who wants a little alone time. The master bedroom is very large, with doors leading to a second-floor deck, and a roomy first-level outdoor porch, great for sitting in the evening and listening to the waves and seagulls from the beach a short walk away. Very cozy, warm and inviting: Somehow classy and rustic at the same time. Lovely bathrooms: clean and modern. Definitely a home away from home. My son, who loves to cook, enjoyed the kitchen, with its large gas stove and double oven, perfect for making us all a great dinner. The best review (parents will certainly get this) is that my grown children were super impressed that their mother managed to secure such a great rental. I heard several times: "Wow, this is a really great house. How did you find it?" My grandsons cried when it was time to leave. They liked exploring the house, watching the taller people play foosball in the finished basement, and being pulled in the wagon to the beach, where they played in the sand for hours. I can't say enough about it. Everything was perfect.

Beautiful home well equipped. Lovely responsive owners. The only concern was, except for master bedroom king bed, all other beds are singles and not the most comfortable, especially for adults. Close to beach and terrific front porches.

Beautiful Home

Beautiful home. Stayed at this house with out of town guests for my son's wedding. Perfect location and space for everyone. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to be by the beach and have plenty of space for everyone.
