We enjoyed our short stay, had a great time each day in the pool and fishing off the dock. Had a wonderful time viewing all the fireworks in the community seating on the dock. The home is very comfortable and spacious, and centrally located to nearby markets, i.e Farmer Joe.
Pro: Great location, very clean, beautiful lanai with a pool with a depth of 4 ft, turtles & big big fish off the dock, Roku TV in the living room & smart TV in the master bedroom, kitchen appliances OK, very nice linen for the beds.
Con: Pool was too cool, (We did offer to pay extra.) dryer may need duct cleaning, Roku TV is missing the pin to sign into channels, there was too much furniture.
We did enjoy our stay .
The home was AWESOME , was not ready to leave. It felt like home but better cause the pool really entertained the kids. Thank you Greg & Lana for allowing my family to stay in your beautiful home.
We had a great time at Blue Coral. Close to Publix store, there was dining close by too. The Enterprise is 7 minutes from the house. The pool was perfect, loved the "in pool seating" with the table to keep your drinks and snacks dry. Everything was clean and well maintained.
Our family so enjoyed the property. Excellent pool for the grandkids, plenty of room for everyone! The house was well equipped for any adventure we embarked on and the kitchen was perfect for preparing family meals. The house sits on a canal which was an added bonus. Turtles and fish were a hit with everyone.
This is a wonderful property for any family to gather and spend quality time gathered at the poolside table. We will be back!
The owner of this house was a very great communicator and made our booking and check in easy. The house is well stocked with nice furnishings. Be sure to bring your own paper towels, toilet paper, detergents, soap, etc. The house is close to restaurants and shopping and was overall great. The only downside, the beds and sheets were not particularly comfortable and there need to be blackout curtains or at least more than sheers in the bedrooms, especially the master.
GREG WAS THE BEST OWNER - he took care of everything we asked for
The Blue Cove Villa is a lovely little gem in a an average Cape Coral community. We found that it was centrally located to anything you want to do in Cape Coral or the surrounding areas. Shopping, dining out, and movies are all nearby, but Cape Coral is very spread out, so nothing is really that close. You really need a car.
The house itself is adorable and well kept. The main bathroom and kitchen have been recently upgraded, so that gives the house a modern feel. It is also very convenient that you can park in the garage and come into the kitchen through the garage door after shopping.
The master bedroom is spacious and the bed was VERY comfortable. Beds are always a worry when we rent. This house did not disappoint. The beds were all comfortable. The master bath was large, especially the shower, which is not new, but had a great shower head and a seat.
It is not a big house but it is a very nicely laid out house. The master is on one side of the living room and the two other bedrooms are on the other. Those two rooms share a central bathroom, which also serves as the main bathroom for the house. The LR opens to the outside patio, pool and lanai. Beyond the lanai is a canal and a dock, which was a lovely place to gather for sunset.
Although the owner advertised the pool as heated, you must understand that solar heat is not able to heat the pool during winter months. Therefore, when we arrived, the pool was NOT heated. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED, having rented for a month and having just left below zero weather in the northeast. When I approached the owner about the "heated pool," he said he would have an electric heater put in. I was a bit surprised that he was so amenable, but he did have a new electric heater put in a few days later. THIS IS A GREAT OWNER! Greg is a man of his word. I believe this investment will serve Greg well, as many renters will enjoy this convenience. Good on ya, Greg.(Also,Greg has lovely neighbors)
I also found things missing in the home- measuring cups, etc. He told me to go out and buy them, if I didn't mind. Additionally, there were no chaise lounges for the patio ( except two collapsible and portable beach-type ones, which were not very comfortable. He also let me buy two loungers. Again, Greg you are a gem!
One further issue for which there really was no resolution. The TV is a smart tv. This was a problem the entire time we were there. THIS IS NOT REGULAR TV. I think Greg will have to rethink the TV system
Had an excellent 2 weeks at the property with lovely weather. The pool is very large and benefits from solar heating. Thanks so much for letting us share your house.
This home was just as advertised. Roomy and comfortable. Loved the pool and the dock to enjoy the canal.
We had a problem with the code to check in. VBRO did not provide it in a timely fashion. The host was able to provide it to get us in the property but it was after 9 PM.
The house is well equipped and maintained. The kitchen has all of the necessary items for preparing meals. The pool is lovely and has fun pool toys, and the kids loved fishing in the canal- fishing poles at the house were a plus!
The property was in a great location. We found the beds quite comfortable. A rather eclectic group of furnishings. We noted a problem with the television Xfinity tuner and relayed that to the owner.
We loved our stay at the villa. It was everything the pictures showed and more (no bad surprises). Good surprises were that the neighbourhood was very friendly and extremely quiet (both day and night). Shopping & restaurants were within easy access and many choices. Check-in & check-out was very easy and the info was supplied before we left (which was nice) .
Weather was great so we took advantage of the pool everyday. We were surprised to see turtles in the canal and other wildlife (rabbits and burrowing owls) on our daily walks in the neighbourhood.
Would definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing our house with us.

Unfortunately, we feel it wasn't worth the money we paid to stay there. There were good and not so good things about the trip. The neighborhood was very quiet and close to everything. The inside of the house was clean and had every amenity we needed. The patio wasn't very nice and the grass was very high and needed to be mowed. The dock needs work done to it and the patio doors didn't close all the way. We couldn't check in at 4 because the cleaning person was still there. That was a little inconvenience because we had stopped and bought groceries.
My family and our little doggies had a very wonderful time. The pool was enjoyable and the owner was very friendly and helpful. He send by the email the instructions how to check in and check out . After the storm the home was clean and comfortable. Everything was furnished just as the ad and owner described. We were vey satisfied. We would love a return trip!
We had everything we needed from the pool to the awesome kitchen. Great location to beaches and Sanibel. Pool was great size and being on the canal was beautiful to wake up to every morning. Looking forward to coming back!
We loved the neighborhood in which this house is located, it was quiet and could easily access one of the main roads going toward the beaches or Fort Myers. The kitchen was beautifully remodeled with nice features. The master bedroom had too much furniture in it to move around easily especially with a crib in the room. Pool was colder than it should have been. There are little things that could be updated and fixed to improve the house, including the correct number of towels and silverware (which we just bought another set). The dock is in need of work. There were boards that needed to be replaced and the bird poop was everywhere.
The supplied beach equipment was a AMAZING asset to this house. We had everything we needed to spend multiple days on the beach including a cooler, umbrellas and lawn chairs. There was also a grill for cooking the evening meals.
Overall, nothing in the house had a major negative impact on the trip. It provided what was needed for the Spring break trip to be enjoyable, Would stay again if we are in the area.
Love Florida, Love sailing. My family enjoys traveling to Florida too and we are frequently taking such trips to remove ourselves from the North and relax under hot sun in gentle breeze of Blue Cove villa.
we fell in love with Cape Coral its wonderful wild life, especially the small owls that are nesting around this area. We love this house for its good position and for wonderful sunsets that we enjoy from our dock.
