Quiet and peaceful

My mom, sister, and myself stayed in this cute little condo for a week! It was perfectly located right by parking and the beach access! Everyone was very quiet and courteous! The beach was so clean and beautiful! The condo was clean and just as pictured! We had everything we needed and would definitely stay here again!

Great view with perfect location

The unit it self could use a few minor updates, but the view and privacy makes up for it. Overall it was perfect for our 3 person family! It had everything we needed and the location on the property was great just steps to either the beach access or the pool was very convenient and having the laundry room right outside our door helped a lot(just make sure to bring lots of quarters (no change machine)) just a 5 min drive to lots of restaurants or a 25 min drive to historic Savannah. Lots to see and do we cannot wait to be back

Great stay

We love the property. It is on North Beach so very family friendly and not touristy. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Our only complaint is the bed was horribly uncomfortable (really firm and squeaked loudly any time you would move/rollover.) This wouldn't be enough to keep us from staying here again because everything else was great. The view from the balcony is beautiful and we loved laying in the lounger reading a book and listening to the waves.

The location of this property cannot be beat. Lovely view of the river (not the ocean). Beach was great for walking! The unit itself needs some updating. Fan in the bathroom did not work great so foggy, foggy. Neighborhood felt safe and we felt secure at all times.

Great location in need of TLC.

This small unit is in an amazing location. It is old kitschy, with a quaint beach theme. It is in need of some serious updating. The deck furniture is dilapidated, and the kitchen appliances are from the Honeymooners era. For a beach property, it includes no beach chairs or towels. Come prepared, and prepare to rough it a little.

Enjoyable stay. Condo B209 badly needs bushes trimmed in front of deck so that occupants can have view of water. Also, swimming pools definitely need maintenance! Black algae lined the pool perimeter. Also, trash in water. Never detected any hint of chlorine. Pools need thorough cleaning!

Condo has great location, but needs TLC

My group rented a condo at Savannah Beach and Raquet Club (209 B) for 3 nights this past week. We felt so very lucky to find this property online and available for the time we wanted. We rented a 1 BR, 1 BA that slept 6; our group consisted of 2 adults and 2 children. The property is oceanfront with a covered balcony. We felt that the condo could use some TLC. We had a variety of minor maintenance issues such as broken DVD player, overflowing toilet, missing blender, broken lampshade, floors that needed better cleaning, broken blinds, and an AC that didn’t work at night very well. Clocks were not functional. Bedding could use updating, as the spread was faded. Maintenance was called for several of these issues, and the response time was good. The repair persons were friendly. However, for the price, there just shouldn’t have been this many issues requiring attention. The unit could be so cute, if updated! We loved the beach and pools. The sunsets were beautiful and the dolphins were plentiful and playful. We will return, but not rent this unit again. I honestly think some of our money should be refunded.

Clean and quiet, needs updating.

We have stayed at Savannah Beach & Racquet every summer for the last 10 years in different VRBO units. They are all the same floorplan and this unit made use of it with the bunk beds for children and a 2nd door from the bathroom to the bedroom. The couch was also a pull out bed. There is no view of the beach (the sand) - and we knew this-- but we enjoyed watching the birds within the trees and the solitude of the deck. Both deck chairs need replacing, they are unsteady and the footrests are broken on both. The decorum is from the 90's--old paintings and shell art. So much potential for this unit compared to others I have stayed in. The remote control in the bedroom did not work (the channel would not change). Overall, wonderful customer service (an informative call telling us where to pick up our gate key). We enjoyed our stay.

Not bad but not great

It is advertised as a ocean view but there is huge tap bushes blocking the view. I could only see a tiny bit out of the right side of the view from my porch. The pool closes at 9pm, and can’t have your own music. The bed, pillows and linens aren’t very comfy for the expectation based on price to stay there and location. And you had to do so much cleaning yourself it’s like why is there even a cleaning fee. Overall it was not to bad, but next time I will book with Tybee island rentals directly instead of all the extra fees that VRBO charges. Also wouldn’t chose this specific room or location again, I’d try another place.

Could use some attention!

The location of this property was great! We loved seeing the shrimp boats, watching the dolphins and the close proximity to the beach. The size of the condo was perfect for us and I imagine would be perfect for a small family. The bedding for the double bed needs updated. We needed a blanket and when I pulled the blankets out of the top of the closet, they were disgusting. They were stained, had holes and smelled bad. Definitely needs a decent skillet. The one that is there needs thrown away, the Teflon is coming off of it and the bottom is no longer flat. My biggest disappointment was the balcony. We were very excited about sitting on the balcony and relaxing. I understand that we were right on the ocean and the salt and sand blow in the air and stick to everything. This balcony was so dirty! The chair coverings and cushions on the chaise lounge need to be replaced. I put a towel down to sit on. I Also, the glass on the sliding door needed a cleaning. We would have gladly cleaned it, but there was not a cleaning product in the place besides dish detergent. We enjoyed our stay in spite of these things, if we go back we will look for a different unit.

Great location with check-in difficulties

We contacted the emergency number after the door wouldn't unlock. A week later we are still waiting for a call back. We finally got in after learning a complicated way of, unlocking the door. Unit needs updating but is consistent with low cost. View from the balcony was wonderful.

Good family vacation

We had a blast! The view from the balcony was ok for the adults the children couldn’t see for the trees(sand dune maybe) , we made it work, but wasn’t described as such. Now the pool between a&b was the worst part of our trip, it’s posted everywhere no lifeguards on duty however there were 3 adults that made you feel like an idiot for being in their pool. One statement made by one of them “the pool on the other side has no rules and nobody watching” they were extremely rude not only to us but others. The lady come up the stairs (to the rooms) to the other side just to ask if my toddler had a little swimmer on because that was only “responsible” she did have one on but was so arrogant about how she addressed it. So literally the biggest problem was the no lifeguard lifeguards!
