We will definitely be back. What a lovely little motel. Location was beautiful and the rooms were well equipped for our stay. The pines were gorgeous.

Up north experience

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very beautiful setting enjoyed setting on dock watching sunset. Very quiet setting very little road noise. Would have been nice to have been contacted by management about the room before we left on our trip up there as we were coming from 7 hours away and weren’t sure if room would be waiting when we got there but when we were half way up to ur area we did get text telling us room would be open at 3 so all good. Nice to see motels with keys still exist. Would definitely recommend!!!

Perfect location for the Birkie

We stayed here for the first time in 2023 for the Birkie and it was perfect! Location is great for start and finish.

We would recommend replacing the oversized chair for one with a small table with chairs for eating breakfast, playing cards.

Awesome Resort/Lodge for any Team Event out of town

Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone for a hockey tournament, would like to come back in the summer to see how beautiful it is during that time as well!

The lakeshore area is divided into sections between the surrounding cabins & the motel. Two concerns: 1) the room was dark, even during the day; & 2) we accidentally & surprisingly locked ourselves out of the room. Since there is no management on site, it took 3 hours to get the room unlocked. Keep your room key with you at all times.

They were very accommodating that we had to leave in the middle of vacation because we ended up having a problem with our boat. Will come back again. Have been there many times.

Took a side-by-side, rode the trails, made it to some of our favorite stops. Grand Pines is always accommodating, made sure we had a room w/a last minute reservation.

Great Motel Stay!

While too chilly to enjoy the lake, it looked beautiful. Nice deck on the back of the rooms.

Fall Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The motel room was clean and decorated in north woods decor. It was very homey. The grounds were immaculate and well maintained. I have kayaked past this place many times over several summers and always thought it looked like a great place. I was not disappointed!Just a couple of things to note—the curtains were not working. One side was partially open and the other side was closed and neither side moved. Considering theses are room darkening, it would have been brighter had both sides been stuck open. I did get them to move after messing with it a little. Also, and this seemed very weird, is the outlets didn’t work all of the time. Example, the table lamp between the beds was plugged in to the upper socket. I plugged my CPAP into the bottom outlet and it wouldn’t work. I then plugged my CPAP into the top outlet and it worked. Then I plugged the lamp in the bottom socket and it worked. The next morning I switched the lamp and the CPAP, and the lamp didn’t work when plugged into the top socket. Similar experience with the outlet on the outside wall. All in all, we were very pleased with the place and wii, no doubt, go back again.
