Tolaâs place was just what we needed for a long weekend. Was a good location with quick bus access to downtown, had coffee tea, comfortable bed and extra sheets/pillows/comforter. Easy to get in with the lock box. The only thing that would have been nice was a full length mirror!
Great communication with property owner. The H street trolley was a great option too Union Station. Unfortunately some of the local restaurants have closed. Not sure if itâs from the pandemic.
The apartment was fine for our needs. Comfortable bed, nice shower, coffee maker, frig, big screen TV in the living room. Great communication with owner.. Good spot for touring DC- super close to H Street with coffee shops and restaurants. Only thing I would change is a more comfortable couch - otherwise it has everything you need. M T Lyons
Bullfrog bagels is just around the corner - great coffee and decent bagels. we also enjoyed dinner at PowWow (plant-based asian fusion). Most restaurants in the area seem to be take-out only which was frustrating.
Groceries were too far to walk to get so we ate every meal out. Kitchen seemed pretty well stocked but could use a bottle opener.
Grab a Capital bike off the rack nearby and itâs a quick ride to the Capital from the unit.
Owners are super attentive! The TV remote needed batteries and we had them within minutes of asking. Likewise with a hair dryer.
Futon was horribly uncomfortable sit on - the place should have a couch. We were really active all day and wanted to be comfortable and watch a movie in the evenings.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Located 1 block from the free H Street streetcar making transportation to and from Union Station a snap.
Several trendy restaurants and local diners within walking distance perfect for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
2 groceries stores (Giant and Whole Foods) within walking distance.
Property owner very accessible and responded quickly to all inquiries.
Would definitely rent again when visiting Washington, DC
Apartment was as advertised. It is in a great location, about 2 blocks to the (free) DC Streetcar and from there a quick trip to Union Station. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and a nice grocery store just two blocks away. The owner made sure we had everything we needed.
The place is beautiful (exactly as pictured) and the location is perfect -- incredibly close to the many delicious restaurants and bars on H Street. It was also close (enough) to the national mall, where we spent our mornings and afternoons visiting museums and art galleries. The owner responded immediately when I contacted him about the bedroom air conditioner making odd noises, and he not only had the air fixed the next day, but also left us a bottle of wine and a note of apology for the inconvenience (though I had assured him that it was not inconvenient at all). Another great perk of staying in this basement apartment is that it stays nice and cool despite the hot and humid weather (95 degrees during our visit in late May) for which DC is known.
Family and I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. We were very pleased and enjoyed our stay here. Apartment is very clean, kitchen stocked with everything you can possibly need, meets all needs. Located close enough to national mall and free transportation is conveniently available close by to all monuments, museum and memorial sites. We would definitely come back and stay here again. Loved it!
We stayed here for 3 nights and it was very enjoyable. We had a couple of issues, but the owner addressed them immediately to our satisfaction. The place was close enough where we could walk to all the sights we wanted to see, even though the Metro is close by. We would stay here again if we are in the area.
We had a delightful stay in Tolaâs very nice basement apt. It is a great location, plus within (long) walking distance of Union Station. Quiet and lots of restaurants nearby on H Street (plus a free streetcar there). The apt was well equipped, clean, and attractive. If you are coming by car, arrive before 3 in order to find a parking space; it also helps to get a parking permit from Tola so you can park on adjacent streets.
This small basement apartment was great for 2-3 people depending on sleeping arrangements (a full bed and a futon). In the DC heat, it is a nice cool place to be. Quiet neighborhood. A little hard to find in the dark the first time (the G Street that separates 1322 and 1324 address is confusing). Overall, it was a great, reasonably priced place to spend a few days touring DC.
This was a great place to stay for our family of 4.
The place was clean and just as pictured. We appreciated having H street just a half block away. Itâs great for restaurants and to get a ride in the free trolley to union station. We then had the city at our fingertips. The bed was comfortable and it was so much better then having our family stay in a hotel for 5 nights. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The only thing we would suggest is a few wine glasses. It was a nice place to start and end our days in DC. Tola was great to work with as well.
This newly renovated 1BR basement apartment is perfect for individuals on work travel or for couples vacationing. It has plenty of space to stretch out and be comfortable. There are pots, pans, glassware, plates and bowls, flatware for anyone that likes to cook.
Features a 42 inch smart TV, with cable, wifi, and Netflix.
