This place was a total dump, we walked in came to the conclusion that we couldn’t stay here and left and stayed in the city, it was 84* and musty and dirty and just disgusting and smelled terrible, the pictures are photo shopped, they gave us 200 credit on 1300, you couldn’t pay me to stay here, do yourself a favor and stay in the city itwas actually cheaper.

The owner of this property is a joy to work with...He is very responsive and helpful. The property was within a mile of coffee and eateries. The dining room and kitchen are spacious. This property is turn of the century, which is normal for Boston I think, The caution is for older travelers with knee and/or bladder issues. The steps are steep and narrow on one side as they turn the corners. The main floor is up one flight up. The stair well juts into the hallway - so leave a light on at night for safety. One bedroom is on the main level. Three of the bedrooms are another flight up. Since there is only one bathroom, those who are sleeping on the second floor, have to go down a level to reach the bathroom. Bring your own washcloth and perhaps soap, as the shower gel was out during our stay. No upper sheets are used on the beds, so that may affect some preferences.

Easy to get to, good location and decent parking situation. The house was as advertised and matched the pictures. Great place to stay for a large group and the TV room was very cool for people to gather around in.

Mo was great and very responsive, and overall we had a really great time visiting. A few things that were a little disappointing were that the dishwasher was not functioning properly during our stay, there were no dish towels or oven mitts available for our use while cooking, and there were no washcloths provided in the bathroom. There was also an exposed strip of nails in the entrance to one of the bedrooms that each of us caught our feet on at least once while entering the room. All of the bedrooms had AC units which was nice for sleeping, but there is not a unit in the living room with the couch or the dining area. The driveway was convenient and it was walkable to public transportation which was nice.

Momo's apartment is large and hospitable, and in a great location, in walking distance of restaurants, bars, and public transportation. It can easily accommodate a group, and the parking spot is a major bonus in this area!Momo was extremely friendly and communicative throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

Pros:Quiet neighborhood.The house had the basic essentials needed for a comfortable stay.A driveway was available for parking, so parking was never an issue.The host was very responsive and friendly.Beds and indoor temp were comfortable.Cons:The driveway was very narrow, and the large shrub at the entrance made parking difficult, especially when backing in. The branches also scratched the side of the car each time we parked.The listing did not clearly state that the unit was on the second floor. There were instructions to be mindful of the first-floor neighbors, including quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and gentle footfalls. This was difficult because the house is very old and the floors creak loudly throughout, even with careful walking.An older review mentioned that the dishwasher was not working, there were no oven mitts or dish towels, and there were small sharp nails near the floor of one bedroom doorway. When we stayed there, those issues had still not been addressed.The cookware was limited. There was one large pot with a lid, one smaller pot without a lid, and two nonstick pans with significant wear to the coating.The reason I did not give fewer stars was because the owner was extremely communicative and timely in his responses. When I asked if the tap water was potable, he recommended that we don't drink it and then he went out of his way to get us bottled water. That makes a huge difference when you are staying at a vacation rental.
