Excellent place to stay with awesome views

Allison was very quick to reply with any of our questions, even letting us check in early.The house is laid out perfectly for everyone to have their own space and restroom/shower. The views from the main living room and kitchen area are amazing. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone who would love a place to relax on the lake for the weekend.

Just perfect!

We stay here each year with my entire family - all age ranges, stations, etc. and it is always a hit! The location is wonderful, great cove &’lake access, just beautiful! And the house is perfect. We love it & will continue to come back!

Stayed here many years. Always a good time. Great property.

Lots of room on the deck, patio, yard, the house, and the pier. Hardly ever left this year. Will be back next year!

Whole family Vaca! 7 adults & 3 kind under 8.

This is our 6th year staying at Sunrise on Kentucky lake. It’s hard to beat this place. So close to the Moors for launch and recovery of boats. A lot of room, two covered boat docks and a jet ski doc! Great time even if the rain runs you off the lake!!!! The AC works great, bring a hoodie!😂. Bring some bug/wasp spray, you are staying right on the lake. It’s nature ya know! See you next year Allison!!!

Came up after our oldest graduated from Higgs school to see family in Paducah. House is in a great location, nice bay access and so close to Moors Resort. Allison was a great host, answered all of my bothersome questions quickly and efficiently. Would love to stay again!

Great lake front location

What a great view of Kentucky Lake and very nice private boat dock. The house seemed to be well equipped to cook a meal which we didnt do and plenty of space and beds on three levels. And a pool table, dart board and cornhole boards were a nice touch. Moors Resort is just a minute or two away with a restaurant and marina and free boat ramp. A short boat ride up the lake to the canal andyou can cut over to Lake Barkley.

Best Labor Day on the Lake

The house is perfect for your stay on Kentucky Lake. Bring your boat and float. House was great, had a few hiccups but Allison was very responsive to them all and even left us a little treat. Definitely will stay again.

The property was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen fully stocked.. lovely view! There was only one surprise-the steep hill going to the entrance. Would definitely stay again!!! Thanks for a great vaca!

Amazing, cozy getaway!!

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy, lakeside property. There was plenty of room for eight of us to eat, watch TV, play games and just hang out. We had all the amenities we could hope for and the owners we so helpful and quick to respond. Our New Year's getaway was so much fun, and we DEFINITELY found the perfect spot for our family to relax! BTW we miss Hissy 🐈

SUNRISE COTTAGE

As advertised! Beautiful home. Wonderful owners. You will enjoy this roomy well maintained gem located in a quiet cove on the lake. Ziplining, go cart racing within 10 miles away. We will definitely be back next summer.

Family Vacation

Family of 11 from 6 year old to 67 year old. Great location of home, beautiful yard and water frontage just off main KY lake. Home easily slept 12. Plenty of room, good kitchen, decks, patio, although bathrooms fine with double sinks, showers, and good laundry, with crowd, could have used one more....Nice owners and neighbors. Boat launch less than 1 mile away. Excellent boat dock.

AWESOME Place!

The location couldn’t be better! 1 minute on water to the marina - right on the lake - perfect! The place was clean (I Lysol wiped all commonly touched spots just to be safe and picked up very little dirt on those wipes!!) it was stocked well. The only issue was the upstairs toilet didn’t work well - so for anything other than liquid...everyone had to share the downstairs bathroom. Fix that and this place is almost perfect!! Thanks for a great stay!

Everything We Needed

This place was perfect for us. We had 6 adults and 4 kids, 9mo - 8 years old. The house was very nice and spacious. Loved the nice back deck and patio. Our favorite part (and now a necessity for every vacation going forward) was the large private covered boat dock. We caught lots of fish right off of the dock! We also really enjoyed tooling around in the paddle boat and the canoe. The rocky shorline was also clean and swimmable, so we spend a lot of time just hanging out there while the kids swam. We had an amazing time!

Beautiful Home, excellent location on the water

My arrival to the unit with a trailer was met with issues as the neighbors (owners of the rental property) were doing yard work on their home and had machinery in the small road making maneuvering difficult. After learning the neighbor to the other side didn't mind if we used his driveway parking was convenient. The house is very very nice. All utilities and amenities worked very well. Very nice charcoal grill on the premises that we used each night. The unit was also very very clean. Could not have asked for a better house. Only thing that was odd is there was no toilet paper. Be sure to bring your own! The 2 story dock was also very nice but a BIG word of warning on the taller covered dock slip. Bird poop. Badly. I had brought plastic to cover our firewood but after the first night I had to use it to cover my boat. There were at least 40 different droppings that I had to clean up. There are birds nest all along the rafters of the dock roof. On nights it wasn't forecast to rain in our four days I tied the boat up with bumpers on the outside of the dock. We were a loud bunch I will admit. Up late until 2 or 3 most nights carrying on. The neighbor/owner of the rental came and told us to keep it down. We didn't stay as quiet as we should be even after that, I will admit. In the contract it states Do keep in mind this is a residential neighborhood. Please be courteous with outdoor noise especially in the evening hours. Pay close attention to the contract and instructions at this property. 1/8th of our deposit was not returned due to not following the contract regarding the noise issue as well as not locking the unit after leaving, some trash was not placed in bags, and I did not have my boat out of the slip by 11 a.m. on checkout day. No damage was incurred at all but points on the contract as highlighted previously were not adhered to. The withholding of deposit was fair to me. Keep in mind when choosing a place to rent this is a quiet neighborhood and the owner/neighbor WILL watch that you adhere to this during your stay. As I said earlier we could not have asked for a better house with better amenities with exception of the bird poop at the dock. We just needed a more secluded location so we would not be disruptive to our neighbors. For this reason I will not be staying here again, but I do not hesitate to recommend this property to future guests!

Welcome to Rent Kentucky Lake! Kentucky Lake is one of the world's largest man-made lakes with 2,380 miles of shoreline and 160,000 acres of water. It is an outdoor vacation hot spot for many year round and located in Western Kentucky.

From the professional fisherman to the beginner, there is great fishing year round. Take a leap and join in on one of the local fishing tournaments, where registration and weigh-ins are as close as 0.8 miles away! For those who are not interested in fishing there are many other water sports available like boating, skiing, tubing, rafting, sailing or just relaxing on the sun-deck which is located on your private dock.

With the Rock Quarry directly across the water ways to the drag boat races scheduled year round, I am sure you will find something enjoyable here at Rent KY Lake.

With the gentle slope to the lake and your private dock it is safe for families with small children.
