Plus d'une personne du matin? Regardez le soleil se lever sur l’océan Atlantique chaque matin avec une tasse de café bien chaud. Profitez de la vie marine en jouant au surf.
Détendez-vous tous les soirs sur le pont après une longue journée sur la plage, tout en admirant les étoiles lors d’une soirée côtière dégagée et dégagée. Confortable pour les familles avec enfants, il suffit de décompresser, de se détendre et de recharger ses batteries! Très pratique pour se rendre sur deux terrains de golf de premier plan sur les Banques extérieures et à quelques minutes de plusieurs terrains de golf de la région. Pêche sur la jetée, shopping, cinéma, activités pour enfants, épicerie et restaurants sont à quelques minutes. Explorez le village historique de Kitty Hawk, faites une excursion en kayak sur les canaux ou passez la journée au Mémorial Wright. Cette maison est située au centre de nombreuses attractions locales.

L'histoire de notre maison remonte à la seconde guerre mondiale! Dolphin 'Landing était autrefois le quartier des officiers de la marine américaine avant d’être transféré au bord de l’océan à Kitty Hawk. Avec de nombreuses rénovations, c’est maintenant une destination de vacances merveilleuse, riche en histoire, en souvenirs et appréciée par beaucoup.

Property was very clean. Impressively so being on the beach. We spent as much time as possible on the patio watching the waves. Without it being covered we usually had to wait until the shadow of the house fell on the porch to enjoy it. Lot on either side is vacant so it’s more private than expected which was great. The dunes behind the house were gorgeous. Sunrise was spectacular. Access to the beach was easiest on the far side of the brown house to the south (2 lots over). Besides the lack of morning shade the only issue is the downstairs queen bed needs a new mattress. My husband actually slept on the couch because it was more comfortable than the bed. Kitchen was extremely well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. Would definitely rent again if the bed was replaced.

The location was centrally located to many shops and restaurants. The beach front property provided for great views of the beach and ocean. Everyone in our family was extremely happy. We will be looking forward to a return visit next summer. We are interested in a beach from property that permits pets, we missed our family dog this year.

Great location with easy access to the beach. Kitchen was ready for all cooking we did for the week. No household disposable items included so be ready to purchase (paper towels, toilet paper, cleaners, etc.)

Serenity Found at the “Beach Balm” in Kitty Hawk

My family employed staying at the “Beach Balm” last week. This home was directly on the beach and the sand dune separating the home from the beach wasn’t too bad to navigate. The greatest thing about this home was the beach facing deck where I watched the sunrise over the ocean every morning. I definitely recommend this vacation home.

Loved starting every day with a cup of coffee on the deck and then walking on the beach as the day got started. House has been upgraded since we were there last. Everything is well set up, well appointed, and in good condition. It was the perfect size for our family of four. Really a wonderful week in OBX. My only complaint is not wanting to leave!

So quaint, beautifully decorated, had all the amenities you would need (minus a grill). Being able to walk out your door and walk over a small dune to get right on the beach was AMAZING! The convenience of this little retreat to the beach was just what we needed. At night, we could sit on the deck and listen to the water and even see our kids down on the beach. The Beaxh Balm is a little hidden gem! Highly recommend!!!

The only things we noticed were back hand rail needs repair, outside lights need to be repaired, the HVAC air filter needs more attention and replacement. We always have changed the HVAC filter when we stayed. The driveway renovation is excellent. Maybe one day a walk from the rear deck directly to the beach can be considered or a covered back porch. Overall we love this cottage and plan on renting it every year.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We absolutely loved our stay at Beach Balm! We were so close to the beach, we practically felt like we were on the beach while sitting on the deck!There's a bit of a steep dune to climb, but that added to the privacy of the place. Most days, there was 50 yards or more of empty beach on either side between us and the next family on the beach.The new chairs on the deck were perfect for hanging out and enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean. The interior was well furnished and had plenty of space for our family of 5.Although the windows downstairs are not large, there are plenty of them, resulting in a lot of natural light in the home.And as far as location, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. You've got a short drive to Duck, Kill Devil Hills, and other nearby areas with plenty of dining and entertainment options.

There were a few minor issues upon arrival which were immediately resolved. We then had two wonderful weeks to relax, catch up with friends, and try to brave the rough surf.

It’s nice to see the owner takes good care of their property. We would love to see some kind of cover installed on the back and possibly a deck walkway that leads from the deck to the beach. That dune behind the property can be a challenge when carrying beach gear. This cottage again is a perfect place for us and we will continue to rent it for years to come!!

A wonderful week

Our family of 5 loved our stay at Beach Balm! It was the perfect little beachside oasis. The morning sunrises, frequent dolphin sightings, and the ease of going from beach to house was perfect with little ones. The dune was easy for us to navigate over but I can see how it would be challenging for some. We didn’t mind it at all! The A/C was nice and cold and the outdoor shower was warm and enjoyed by our kids. The couch in the main living area is upgraded from the listing photos and I wanted to share that it is really comfortable and our whole family could snuggle up and watch a movie on it in the evenings. Our favorite local spot was Art’s Place, which had a great live band on Friday night, and the food and drinks were awesome too. We look forward to returning to this property again next year.

The deck was a huge highlight with amazing views of the ocean. just walk over the dune and you are basically on your own private beach! This house is pretty much in the middle of the public access points so not congested at all. The upstairs bedroom and living space were great and we were able to turn off the air conditioner and open up the windows every evening to enjoy the ocean sounds and breeze. We would definitely stay here again!

It has a ton of amenities, all of which were listed on the website and were really there. The deck is great, with the tall chairs, picnic table and sun umbrella. Plus the gates to keep little ones or dogs on the deck. It was clean and well-maintained. In over 20 years of coming to the OBX and renting a home, this was our first experience with Carolina Shores. Had absolutely no problems as they were very helpful in finding this home and continuing on through the rental and check-in process. We would recommend this property to friends and plan to stay again next year. Property is very close to restaurants on the Beach Road and all of the eating places on the Bypass.

With dunes on both sides and no neighboring homes, we had a wide stretch of beach practically to ourselves — it felt private and peaceful, which was wonderful.The home itself was ideal for our family of five, giving everyone plenty of space to relax. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and dishes we needed, which made cooking most of our meals easy and enjoyable. The property was spotless when we arrived, and we really appreciated the outdoor shower and foot wash station that helped keep the sand outside.This was our first time renting a home in OBX, and it was such a great experience. Since we flew in from out of state, we packed light. The only small surprise was that things like trash bags, laundry detergent, and dishwasher pods weren’t provided, as we’ve had them available in other vacation rentals. It wasn’t a problem since stores are close by, but next time we’ll know to bring a few of those extras with us.Overall, this home was everything we hoped for and more. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend this home!

A great vacation spot!

The beach was not crowded since there was no house on either side, giving us plenty of space to play and skimboard. The air conditioning was efficient and we found the house very clean. We were a tad confused upon arrival about our beach access- concerned that we would violet the dune policy but we’re relived to find that we were clear to directly access the beach,

Beachfront beauty!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This oceanfront house was perfect for our family. Walk right out to the ocean! Watch the sunrise on the deck. Many dolphins viewed daily. Love the updates made to the was beautiful! Our only complaint would be the house was still not clean after 4, and they were done in 15 minutes. Obviously it wasn't as clean as we would expect. But management did say they were short staffed.

Great view and upgrades!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a fabulous place to stay with beautiful beach views and access. The upgrades to the cottage were wonderful. I moved a little sand at the back steps to uncover the boards leading to the steps to cut down on us tracking sand in the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return in 2024.
