Détendez-vous tous les soirs sur le pont après une longue journée sur la plage, tout en admirant les étoiles lors d’une soirée côtière dégagée et dégagée. Confortable pour les familles avec enfants, il suffit de décompresser, de se détendre et de recharger ses batteries! Très pratique pour se rendre sur deux terrains de golf de premier plan sur les Banques extérieures et à quelques minutes de plusieurs terrains de golf de la région. Pêche sur la jetée, shopping, cinéma, activités pour enfants, épicerie et restaurants sont à quelques minutes. Explorez le village historique de Kitty Hawk, faites une excursion en kayak sur les canaux ou passez la journée au Mémorial Wright. Cette maison est située au centre de nombreuses attractions locales.

L'histoire de notre maison remonte à la seconde guerre mondiale! Dolphin 'Landing était autrefois le quartier des officiers de la marine américaine avant d’être transféré au bord de l’océan à Kitty Hawk. Avec de nombreuses rénovations, c’est maintenant une destination de vacances merveilleuse, riche en histoire, en souvenirs et appréciée par beaucoup.

The beach was not crowded since there was no house on either side, giving us plenty of space to play and skimboard. The air conditioning was efficient and we found the house very clean. We were a tad confused upon arrival about our beach access- concerned that we would violet the dune policy but we’re relived to find that we were clear to directly access the beach,

A great getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Beach Balm is perfect for us!! It has everything we need and we really enjoyed the updated driveway!! It’s nice to see the owner takes good care of their property. We would love to see some kind of cover installed on the back and possibly a deck walkway that leads from the deck to the beach. That dune behind the property can be a challenge when carrying beach gear. This cottage again is a perfect place for us and we will continue to rent it for years to come!!

Love the updates made to the was beautiful! Our only complaint would be the house was still not clean after 4, and they were done in 15 minutes. Obviously it wasn't as clean as we would expect. But management did say they were short staffed.

Great location with easy access to the beach. Kitchen was ready for all cooking we did for the week. No household disposable items included so be ready to purchase (paper towels, toilet paper, cleaners, etc.)

A wonderful week

Our family of 5 loved our stay at Beach Balm! It was the perfect little beachside oasis. The morning sunrises, frequent dolphin sightings, and the ease of going from beach to house was perfect with little ones. The dune was easy for us to navigate over but I can see how it would be challenging for some. We didn’t mind it at all! The A/C was nice and cold and the outdoor shower was warm and enjoyed by our kids. The couch in the main living area is upgraded from the listing photos and I wanted to share that it is really comfortable and our whole family could snuggle up and watch a movie on it in the evenings. Our favorite local spot was Art’s Place, which had a great live band on Friday night, and the food and drinks were awesome too. We look forward to returning to this property again next year.

There were a few minor issues upon arrival which were immediately resolved. We then had two wonderful weeks to relax, catch up with friends, and try to brave the rough surf.

Serenity Found at the “Beach Balm” in Kitty Hawk

My family employed staying at the “Beach Balm” last week. This home was directly on the beach and the sand dune separating the home from the beach wasn’t too bad to navigate. The greatest thing about this home was the beach facing deck where I watched the sunrise over the ocean every morning. I definitely recommend this vacation home.

Very relaxing!

This property was exceptional! Very clean, & bright, no clutter,, comfortable beds & sofa (easy to clean) & they allows dogs!! Great beach as it wasn’t crowded at all, very private. You have to climb up thedune to get to beach. It would have been great if a charcoal grill was available, might bring your own or a cheap disposable foil version. We ordered the linens & they were clean. The online & check in-out process was easy. Will return!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The upgrades were nice. One big downside is the dunes. I'm 63 years old and climbing up and down the dune to get to and from the house were very difficult to say the least. And the sand was very hot as you know. Having our pet with us was another upside to our vacation and that has changed. So we will not be renting this location again. We wish you the best.

You just can’t beat the view

Reviewer Comments: Recently renovated and awesome view with direct beach access.The space was great for our family of 4 and the deck allowed our pup to be outside a lot and out of the sun (not covered but get plenty of shade). We were bummed to learn they’ll no longer allow pets as we would rent again. Our only hang up with the property was how often were sweeping and vacuuming. I totally get the maintenance free flooring in a beach house to avoid carpet but walking around- you never feel 100% clean and you can’t get into bed without constantly cleaning off your feet. A couple indoor/outdoor rugs would do wonders I would imagine. This could be a twinge of ocd kicking in but.....I should note- there is a hose at the back which was very helpful.

A Perfect View with Some Flaws

It was relaxing and convenient to have such a short distance from our home to the beach. The deck was nicely equipped with many places to sit. The inside of the home was clean and well kept. A unique feature of the home is that the top level and main level have separate air conditioning/heating units, allowing for variable temperature settings depending on preference. The top level stays very cool. On a different note, unfortunately the furniture and bedding made our stay difficult. The couches in the living room are outdoor furniture and are unsupportive. The bedding is extremely uncomfortable as well. It was difficult not having a comfortable place to rest a tired body after enjoying the sun. The kitchen was under-equipped also, missing a spatula and other essentials. If you don’t mind uncomfortable furniture and uncomfortable sleeping arrangements, this is a fabulous stay!

The upstairs is a large area to sit in with a bedroom and full bath, has an unobstructed view of the ocean from the large window. The deck is huge and a fantastic view. Plenty of dolphins to watch while sitting on the deck and a Short walk to access the beach or clime over the dune. Definitely would stay at Beach Balm again!!. Has cable TV and the WIFI had a consistent reliable single.

Cute Cottage Stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The deck view was great and relaxing and it is a cute cottage house. Nice to have things in the kitchen already for you and even some outside things left under for the beach. We got to watch a dolphin play from the deck and the sun rise is great from it too. If your used to central air and somewhat cooler inside and especially at night, the air units needs to be increased. Couldnt sleep upstairs a couple nights. looking through the bottom pic it does not show the sand hill between the house and the beach so for someone with leg issues as myself, getting to and from the beach was impossible by myself. it needs a wooden walkway or something to help if you have any issues. the screen doors were a little issue with dogs because they had no spring to keep closed unless we slammed the door but the step doors had latches on them that were good. If these changes had been made early it would of been the best vacation of our life.

The deck was a huge highlight with amazing views of the ocean. just walk over the dune and you are basically on your own private beach! This house is pretty much in the middle of the public access points so not congested at all. The upstairs bedroom and living space were great and we were able to turn off the air conditioner and open up the windows every evening to enjoy the ocean sounds and breeze. We would definitely stay here again!

Pictures are not up to date. The level of sanitization and cleanliness of this home was horrific

I never thought in my wildess dreams we would have to DEEP, DEEP clean and sanitize a vacation home. Yes, they offered maids to come back out but at this point 6 peoples belongings, linens and accessories were already inside and this was a very small unit. No one maid in a few hours could do the level of disinfecting that we had to do. The first 4 to 6 hours of our stay, my whole family was cleaning. We wiped down the floors and counter tops and our swiffers were BLACK even after the 3rd round! All of the A/C units had so much sutt/dust/mildew on the vents, that blew directly on our faces in bed, we have to take all vents and clean them thoroughly. There was blood residue from previous renters. It was all around a very negative and uncomfortable stay as we all felt very dirty the whole time we were there. Your 200 refund was so gracious but was no where near what I would have expected for these living conditions that 1 maid couldn't do! That house needs a full makeover and DEEP disinfect/clean.
