Classic Cajun Cottage on Bayou Teche - 1 & 1/2 miles from Downtown Breaux Bridge
Situated on Bayou Teche in the heart of Breaux Bridge, this property is a newly restored Cajun home, built in 1910, keeping the original style and decor intact to allow you to have the feeling of stepping back in time. With the deck on the bayou, and an additional outdoor sitting area, along with the comfort of this unique cottage, relaxation is assured.
Clean, comfortable and full of charming old-school extras, like an old record-player and several old albums. Itâs a great little cottage close to town and on a bayou with deck. Weâve been before and keep coming back.
The cottage was absolutely amazing. It was an easy walk into Breaux Bridge for shopping and food and beverages. The hosts were responsive and helpful with suggestions of places to try. The neighbors we chatted with were very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend the Cajun Cottage and hope to head back.
We came down for Mardi Gras and used Breaux Bridge as our base spot. The house was very conveniently located. Everything was clean and check in/out was a breeze. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay in the wonderfull little house by Bayou Teche. The house is fully restored with respect for the history. We relaxed on the small terrace by the river.
Breaux Bridge is nice small town with lots of good cajun and zydeco music, which we enjoyed.
We have stayed here before and plan to in the future. Itâs quaint, comfortable, affordable and located well.
The host is so accommodating and helpful if needed.
This cottage is quaintly decorated and so comfortable and clean. Itâs situated close to town and itâs on the teche and on a quiet street.
We will definitely return to this cottage.
If the bed was bigger and better and the furniture more comfortable it would be more pleasant. the bathroom tub is worthless to older people. we can`t get in and out of it without putting ourselves in danger,,thankfully the shower in the shed works very well. as a retired home inspector I can say that the glass shelf next to the tub is a safety hazard,,if someone was to slip in the tub and hit the glass shelf and injure themselves they could sue you out of existence...the tub needs to be changed into a walk in shower, I know this would mean moving a window but that is a small job to do for the comfort and safety of guests!!! this was our second time staying here and you couldn`t ask for a better location and sweet little house!!
We loved this cute and quiet (at the end of the street right on the bayou) cottage. It even has a piano! The kitchen is spacious. The cottage was perfectly situated for our explorations of Breaux Bridge, which is within walking distance, and the Lafayette vicinity. We'd recommend it for a relaxing weekend or vacation.
This was my third stay at this property. The home is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked if you like to cook. The neighbors are very quiet and the view of the bayou is beautiful
