The property was nice. The view was beautiful. The trees could use some trimming. It seems the property has been dormant for a while. Multiple spiderwebs in and around the property. The kitchen table was sticky so I just wiped down all surfaces again. The hot tub could use an upgrade as the speed of the jets did not get to were a hot tub is supposed to. The check in process is a huge inconvenience. I have stayed around the area in multiple cabins for the last 15 years and have never had to check into an office to obtain my cabin information. Nor adjust my work schedule to make the "check in" time frame or risk being without a place to stay! So make sure that if you book this cabin, you are able to check in with the office in time.
Will be a better place to stay after the mouse problem is fixed.
Upon arrival we were mildly concerned about the integrity of the entry porch since a section of roughly 4-5 spindles were rotted out and on the ground below. Inside, there was mouse poop inside all of the drawers and lower cabinets where the utensils and cookware were stored, so we couldnot use any of those without re-washing first. My wife was disqusted and that definitely ruined the mood and excitement for our arrival. The mice (or mouse, not sure if it was one or many) would come out of a hole on the right side of the fireplace periodically and roam the main floor. We had to hide and seal our food and suitcases the entire time because we were worried about the mice getting into our things. Mouse poop on top of the counter tops in the morning when we woke up. I called the guest hotline to request traps or assistance on Saturday morning and was told they would send a service out. Perhaps the service is not available on Saturdays because no one came and we saw a mouse in the living room again before bed. We left early Sunday morning. Also there is something wrong with either the flapper or fill valve for the upstairs toilet because it often (sometimes as frequently as every 15 seconds) makes a quick "whirring" noise like it is trying to fill itself. This was not too noticeable during the day, but was really annoying when trying to fall asleep. Aside from that, the towels and bed linens were nice and clean, the cabin is in a nice location, and did have a nice mountain view.
We enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was clean with all the necessities. The hot tub was a fantastic feature for us, great way to unwind at night and enjoy the view in the morning before you head out for the day! Beds were comfortable, which is important to us! Only 2 things worth mentioning.....if you have light sleepers, just know that you are walking on wood throughot, so there is a lot of creeking as you walk upstairs. just an FYI. The only thing I would mention is that to stay here, for the price you are paying, it would be nice to have a blow dryer supplied, and some little bottles of shampoo and shower gel. It's just those little touches that don't require much cost or effort, and makes it easier for the guest when packing!
The cabin was very clean. Beautiful views. Not a lot of kitchen supplies so youâll need to bring your own utensils etc. if you plan on cooking. Not enough towels are available for more than 2 people. Overall this cabin is very nice and in a great location.
The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable but it was the small things that made this cabin one of the worst I have rented. The windows were all dirty and there was trash all over outside. If you are planning to cook any meals in this cabin then please bring all your own stuff. The pans were all warped that I couldn't use them. The microwave was broke. I called to let them know and was told someone would come out to fix it but they never came. In the bedroom downstairs the fan had paper or something in it to stop it from rattling. The upstairs shower handle needs fixed it is about to fall off. We never could figure out how to work any of the TV's. Outside none of the outlets worked and the grill was rusted thru underneath. We put charcoal in it and it fell to the bottom. If all these things were fixed then the cabin would be a 4 out of 5.
The check in process was easy however if you made a error there is no communication as to where there is an error. We had to do all the calling to confirm things were okay. The day we arrived we called since we didn't have an address and we found out that they still needed information that I had sent but they were unclear to some of the data. Then we were told our cabin would be ready at check - in. As we sat and waited in the driveway for the call to go in....the cleaning crew arrived. They were the best ladies but since they felt rushed to get our cabin ready we found the dishes still in the dishwasher and bottle caps and popcorn all over the floor.
The view was amazing! The hot tub was a nice touch.
The cabin was located about a 10 min drive from Sevierville, TN with awesome views from the deck of the hills and mountains surrounding the area. Although the neighbors aren't far away, it is far from a subdivision type development that we were trying to avoid. It was private, has a full kitchen, 2 baths, 2 beds, hot tub, wifi, satellite tv, and more. It's just what we were looking for, a cozy cabin with great views right from the deck.
The Cabin is much smaller than I anticipated. It's cozy and efficient, providing the very basic essentials. Cabin was a little late being cleaned so we had to wait two hours before we could checkin. However we did came on a holiday
We REALLY enjoyed our stay in the cabin. I was so happy to see the Christmas tree and little extra decor for the holiday season.
We were fairly close to town but yet not on top of one another in the cabin we stayed in. And yes the view was great.
I had an issue with one thing but the office did compensate!
