This property is outstanding as a livable, enjoyable, functional and family oriented destination. It was convenient to all our guests, the host was very thoughtful and gracious. The property was recently upgraded, well stocked, equipped and beyond our expectations. We will be keeping this property on our radar.
We had a great time visiting the National Park, kayaking, and checking out local businesses. The property was very clean and stocked. Extremely comfortable.
We loved our stay. The house was amazing, better than the pictures. It was so comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked. The porch was so comfortable and the best place for coffee in the morning. We cannot wait to come back!
Excellent place, absolutely loved our stay! Close enough to Shenandoah that e were able to get there easily each day, as well as have fun in the nearby towns ex visit a distillery and ice cream shop. Fully stocked kitchen and grill made cooking a breeze. And we loved eating outside when it wasn't raining. There's even a little hummingbird friend that visits the porch flowers each evening.
My parents and my husband and I stayed here on a recent trip to Shenandoah National Park. The house was sparkly clean and had everything we needed. The outdoor spaces were a real treat-we could sit outside in the afternoons after we got back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Everything was well organized and very comfortable. Ellen is an excellent and thoughtful host.
This home was beautiful and as advertised. We enjoyed the views, the fire pit, and the nice walking path behind the house. Feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere, but anything you could ask for is within 5-6 miles. We visited Shenandoah National Park in mid October, and the colors were absolutely stunning. Highly recommend this gem of a home.
Property was clean and we liked that it was situated off the main road. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was fairly close, The Luray Caverns, Civil War Battle Field and Museum. Just tons to do and the property just made our stay that much better.
The property was a wonderful home set back from the road in the edge of the woods. It was very well kept, extremely well stocked & both comfortable & quiet. We found some interesting towns close by with some very good places to eat. It was a truely great place & a relaxing experience!
My family is separated by distance and we loved spending the weekend at this property. It had everything we needed from the kitchen to the outdoors, and was in a gorgeous tucked away location. We'd love to come back!
A lovely setting in the river valley, set back from the road with woods and open space all around. It has a wonderfully stocked kitchen and good space for the four of us to be together while each having our own privacy as well
This home was perfect for our Labor Day Weekend getaway. It was close to everything we did (half marathon in Luray, Luray Caverns, hiking in Shenandoah National Park, and kayaking on the Shenandoah River). The accommodations were very clean and comfortable! And the homemade cookies were delicious!!!
Ellen is an amazing hostess. It was a five star experience in a beautiful location. The house is secluded yet close to everything. It was undoubtedly the best stocked kitchen. We hope to return with our families.
One of the best we've ever stayed at clean well stocked peaceful much thought put in to the home hostess very concerned for her guest homemade cookies waiting for us thank you we will be back Jacinda:)
We chose to purchase this home because it is attached to family land. This rental property gets its name from this very transaction. We are the third couple in our family to own this lovely property.
This property is surrounded by the Blue Ridge and the Massanutten Mountains. The views in this area are amazing and the property itself is peaceful and relaxing. I love visiting Luray, Va., just 10 minutes up the road to walk main street and enjoy all of the antique shops.
